I didn't have a problem with the pick up site in Baker really, but had scheduled my pick up to be on Airline in Baton Rouge and a day or so before pick up I was told I had to drive out to Baker to get the truck and dolly. They said they would give me a credit of 12 miles, which did me no good as I was under my mileage limit yet it was 24 miles to the Baker facility for pick up and then back and took time I did not have for the moving crew to come that morning as well.

The customer service was very poor from this location, the store clerk that rented out the vehicle I was in was very rude and was unprofessional to me for no reason. I was being pleasant upon my entry & rental process, and I didn't receive the same in return.

The first location did not have all the equipment we ordered and did not care if we got it or not. I called the 800 number and the gentleman there was extremely helpful and moved my reservation to someone close to me that had the equipment. They were very helpful and friendly and I am so appreciative of the man at the 800 number

It was noted that I would bring the truck back to the location in which I was moving. Yet I was charged to bring it back. The cashier stated it was their personal truck and needed to be brought back there.

While I know you can not control another person not turning in the vehicle, it was difficult to get Uhaul on the phone. Each time we called and held for more than 30 minutes it was disconnected. When I finally was able to get a representative to call me back, he was very rude. I was very dissatisfied with any help Uhaul could provide us other than stating it is a busy weekend and we can't control someone else not returning a vehicle.

Fix your Rental Operating System! I requested this Location, which is 10 minute drive from my Previous Home for a 3 Item Rental, 26 foot box truck, Auto Transport and Appliance Dolly. Instead I get sent 45 minutes away to Plaquemine, LA and Your System was down all Day. Both at this Location and via the 24/7 After Pickup and Turn In. I arrived at the Plaquemine, LA "CLOSED" site at 9:45AM and it took 14 text messages, 4 emails, and 5 Telephone Calls for me to get the code to the Lock Box for the Keys to the Truck! Wasted 2 Hours of Moving Time Because of System Errors and Procedure Mistakes by the Entire Uhaul Customerm Service Team. I Left the Plaquemine Location at 11:45. I then proceeded to drive 30 minutes to the Baker Location to pick up my Auto Tranport and Applicance Dolly. Luckily, this Location was on my return route home and only 10 minutes from my Previous Home, where again the System was DOWN. The Staff in Baker was very Friendly and Apologized for the System not working. I waited for 2 Hours for equipment from 12:15 to 2:15 before leaving WITHOUT the Equipment. Scott called me at 4PM and said that the System was finally FIXED and we could pick up the Equipment. I had paid movers which were waiting for me to bring them the Equipment since Noon which were in the middle of loading the Rental Truck. So I had to stop my Move, Borrow a Vehicle from my Neighbor to return to pick up the Auto Transport and Appliance Dolly and this Transaction was not completed until 5PM. So I lost nearly 5 Hours of Moving Time due to UHAUL's Operation System being Crashed for Almost the Entire Day.

Through something out of my control, I was unable to empty the van I rented. It had construction debris , and I knew there would be a cleaning fee. But they tried to put a charge of 1,200 dollars on my credit card. This is obscene and I may never use uhaul again. Sad, because they normally are very decent

Dirty truck inside and out. Had to wipe everything with disinfecting wipes. Front windshield had smashed bugs that had dried and would not come off. Also per hair inside, horrible for someone with allergies.

To whom it may concern my initial issue was with a drop off location and storage which was changed numerous times. This issue I though was resolved until I got to the location and it was closed 2 hours earlier that advertised. issue was with customer service over the phone both with employees as well as managers! My customer service experience was terrible and made this experience one of the worse moving transitions ever. Denasia answered the phone initially when I was at the Greenwell Springs location. Although she attempted to assist me and she did show empathy about the situation, she was not knowledgeable or capable as to how to assist me. I then asked for a Sup or Mgr and I was transferred to Sharae who made my experience a trillion times worse. In my opinion she lacks customer service skills and the ability to show empathy, effectively assisting the customer. Once she was on the phone she already had everything planned as to how she would assist or not assist before she even spoke with me. If the calls are recorded and information was notated as I was advised she couldn't have taken the time to research or she did not care about all I had gone through before speaking with her. After asking her to let me explain the situation she proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do and she went on to say that because the only thing that can be done was she charge me an additional $40 for another night because the location closed at 5:00 and not 7:00 as advised by previous rep and as advertised online. At this point I am furious and I can admit that she provoked me over and over. She should not be a manager or anyone in any administrating position. She should not and I will scream it from the roof top “SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE A JOB IN CUSTOMER SERVICE” Mrs. Sharae really gives Uhaul a terrible, terrible reputation because she doesn't know how to speak and communicate effectively. Moving alon is stressful, tiring, expensive and time consuming. Me being at work all day, and already being on he phone will Uhaul all day making arrangements to drop off the truck at a Uhaul storage facility, to get there and they have a note on the door saying that they are closed…. The worse thing I could have done was have to wait for a representative at Uhaul to answer the phone and a representative or “Manager” like Sharae. She challenged me the entire time on the phone… I have worked in customer service for years and held positions on all levels. Currently I am a educator and I definitely understand that bad days and unfortunate situations happen. However I fight daily to give my student what I am hired to do… educate to the best of my ability leaving all I've dealt with (even now on my planning period to type this review) at home because I have a job to do and so does she. I have always used Uhaul services but experiences as such these when people are transitioning for whatever reason, support helps. This by transition was tough enough for me without this conflict with Uhaul. Thanks

They overwork the cashiers who are trying to check out customers and do U-Haul rentals..because it's a convenience store and a gas station. They took more money off my card for fuel that was MISLEADING on the paper and the ACTUAL AMOUNT THAT WAS PUT BACK IN... SO MAKE SURE YOUR READING IS CORRECT ON THE GAUGE WHEN YOU RETURN. AND THEY ALSO CHARGED ME A LATE FEE WHEN IT WAS BOUGHT BACK 1HR ONTIME..KEYS.WERE GIVEN TO CASHIER...SO.MAKE SURE U SIGN OFF AND MAKE SURE THEY CHECK U OUT AND GET PAPERWORK STATING THAT! I FEEL LIKE THEY GOT OVER ON ME AND WAS NOT UNDERSTANDING AND THEY HAVE CAMERAS TO SEE THAT THAT VEHICLE WAS THERE ON TIME SO I'M TELLING ANYBODY DO NOT BUY FROM THEM BECAUSE IT'S ALL ABOUT THEM MAKING MONEY!

I wasn't informed that the size vehicle I had reserved (26 ft) wasn't available until I got the early check in text and went to check in. By the time I'd done this, it was too late for me to find another location with a 26', so I had to go with the 20 ft truck, causing me to need to take multiple trips and working a lot faster than I initially intended to. This both cost me time and money (from the mileage). I additionally didn't receive notice until 30 minutes before the reservation that the appliance dolly that I had reserves was unavailable - which, in turn, made moving much more difficult for many of the largest items we had. That's simply not acceptable notice on either account given the fact that I had placed the reservation days in advance.

Wet blue paint was placed on the ground just in front of the entrance door. I was apparently not the only person to get it on my shoe because there were many blue tracks on the floor inside the store. Maybe waiting until the store is closed or until traffic is much lighter to paint an unavoidable surface would be my recommendation.

Our truck leaked inside the bed/trailer during a heavy storm on Wednesday (we had loaded up on Tuesday) and we did not unload until Friday so our leather sofa was damaged by water. We have not been able to file a claim even though we have the insurance. If someone could help us, the phone number we were given by uhaul.com couldn't connect us to a representative. About 18 months ago I had a pleasant experience here renting a cargo trailer and this time was no different. Everything was perfect. Owner and staff were polite and friendly. I was in and out quickly. Rented a 5x8 cargo trailer which was clean and in good condition with nearly new tires.

My original reservation was for a 24/7 pickup at the location in Zachary Louisiana. However, the truck was not registered as 24/7 pickup and I could not get the truck because the location is closed on Sundays. The wait time for customer service was over an hour. When I finally got in touch with a customer service agent, I was put on hold and then rerouted to another agent which took an extra 15 minutes. When the next agent answered, I was put on hold again and AGAIN rerouted to another agent!! After the third agent answered, I firmly told the agent not to put me on hold! This agent was finally able to find me a truck. My experience with uhaul was awful. I will not be using this company again

My original pickup point was on Perkins Road. We were then redirected to a location on Florida Blvd. We were attempting to complete a mobile pickup from this location at 7:30am. We drove 30 minutes to this location, which is severely dilapidated and my son called "scary." I can't imagine that U-Haul has evaluated this location due to it allowing it to operate in this condition. No trucks were available at 7:30, so we drove another 30 minutes back home, only to drive another 30 minutes later for 9:30am when that facility opened. We then learned that they did not have our truck available. Thankfully, they called "traffic" and were "lucky" enough to have another truck another 20 minutes away from our home. Had this not been available, we would not have been able to move as anticipated. UHaul has shown through this experience to be severely unorganized and unprofessional, and not respectful of my family's time and plans for moving. You may be the cheaper option, but we will never use your services again, or recommend you to any friends or family. However, the lady that helped us at the Baker location was extremely helpful and very sweet.
