This is a great drop off location, including after hours. Gas station guy went above and beyond to assist. Perhaps a car jack on hand to lift trailers after hours would be a good thing. Bare handed gas guy was awesome.Helen M.

Rented a trailer. It had a damaged wiring harness. The associated wrapped a stripped wire around one of the harness pins and sent us on our way without telling us. 50 miles later we lost the lights on the trailer on the highway, in the city, in traffic, after dark. Not good.Thomas K.

My experience was not a good one but not 5he fault of this location. I replied to an email from the GM@uhaul and have yet to hear back. I had arranged for a rental weeks prior to my pick up date only to find out when I wen5 to get the truck they had no order for me. Called your customer service and they were not helpful at all. Again not the fault of Canal tire !John G.
Doesn't normally have a big selection of equipment so you need to reserve well ahead if you aren't flexible. Didn't notice it when I picked the trailer up but the license plate was missing.David F.

NICER OFFICE , SALESMAN WAS KNOWLEDGABLE. HAD NO BLANKETS THAT I HAD ORDERED. TRUCK WAS 15 MILES FARTHER AWAY THAN I ASKED FOR SO MORE MILEAGE AND TIME THEN HAD TO GO TO ORGINAL LOCATION TO PICK UP BLANKETS, AT THE HYANNIS LOCATION WORKER SAID TAKE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTION HOW MANY BLANKETS IN A BAG SO I WAS A DOZEN BLANKETS SHORT.ARTHUR R.

That when making reservations weeks in advance and requesting a certain location closer to home that I was told at this time not the night before that I would have to go 30 miles out of my way to pick up trailer. People make plans and set things up and I had to rearrange help etc due to this inconvenienceSharon P.

The app was horrible. The pick up location was listed at two separate places in totally different towns. Trying to use the app to pick up the truck was a nightmare. They wanted us to upload pictures what is the fuel gauge and odometer we tried 10 times it would not except the pictures. The reservation was in my husbandâ€˜s name but only with allow my phone to return and I was at home he had to come get my phone. The app does not let you proceed unless you purchase an extra protection package which if anyone owns a car you already have insurance so the app forces you buy extra protection in order to proceed with pick up. Had to keep calling CUSTOMER SERVICE waiting on hold 20 minutes each time eating up our rental time. My husband says never again! We are going to buy our own trailerThomas K.
I was able to request furniture pads online although none were available. I was told I could go to any other location to get them. At $.99/mile I'm glad we had the car to search. Two stops and a phone call found none anywhere and we gave up. I had to call for a refund rather than have the location credit me at pickup. The refund was simple however.CATHERINE Z.

Was not shown anything about truck and trailer. Windshield wipers didn't work, one headlight was very dim. Did not receive furniture pads. What you can do is make sure that the trucks that you rent are in perfect working order.Amy G.

I called the Hyannis location (where I have been going for over 7 years) to inquire about the 5x9 ramp trailer I wanted and was redirected (unbeknownst to me) a central call center. After telling me the unit i wanted was immediately available she started asking the usual questions but after she asked what I "was going to tow with it" I knew I was in trouble. She asked for my home address and then started giving me locations with the trailer close by but my home is 60 miles from where I was for the summer and then using my summer locations gave me other locations (West Wareham) still not close. After getting all that straightened out and finding the Bourne location(rather new, didn't know it was there) she gave me the price which again was wrong as she priced out a larger closed trailer. We finally got everything right and the trailer rented. The young lady was very pleasant but must have been following "a script" and not listening to my answers. A long frustrating call, would think when you call a local location directly you would get to speak to them.David F.

Truck was blocked in and customer service sent me back to location with incorrect info about accessing keys, but was still unable to get me my truck. Employees were kind and patient, but didn't know how to help and wasted my time. Also was not reimbursed as much for the trouble as I was told I would be. Not sure if that was a mistake or I misunderstood what cost was being reduced.Michael N.

WRONGFULLY charged my card an extra $140 WITHOUT my permission! They said I had the truck 2 days past the return date, and that I did not fuel the truck before returning which is all bullshit. I returned the truck the very same day, found out the guy at the drop off location checked our truck in 2 days later. He watched us fuel the tank, and I provided pictures for proof. They admitted they won't fully charged me, and that they would credit the $140 back into my account. Well it's been almost 2 weeks now and NOTHING. What gives you the right to take my money- and take your sweet ass time giving it back? Will NOT be using uhaul again.LISA B.

Dropped off the note before it was due10/14/21 a7:30 pm! No one there! Took pictures tried to use you app to check out at drop off site! Website not available to work left contract in drop off like video said. Checked next morning at 7:30 gas attendant said no there not here till after 9am. If said can you verify with them it was here last nite and web connection on data plan at available. I then followed up at 2:30 pm on 10/15. Still no one to verify the check in but the young kid said I'll call boss. Today 10/16 I see my account changed $35+ dollars sailing I checked it in at 2:39 in afternoon when is stopped back by the location and asked the kid what was wrong with the web site. And did the get my morning drop contract in their drop box! He said yes. I then tried to call the location today after 12 and they are closed till Monday. Very non communicative- poor business principals. I did my part the system did not work according to you U-Haul application. No access to take the pics to upload. But I have the time stamped pics on my phone cameraSharon F.

My original reservation was in West Wareham, MA but moved to Sagamore, MA. The man had difficulty hooking the trailer up to my truck, although he knew what kind opf vehicle I was driving -he told me. Did not hook up electric because he had no adapter -said it would be fine to go to Maine unless I got stopped by the Police. He "fudged" the picture for Uhaul. Less than 100 yards away, the trailer fell off and was being held on by the chains. After pulling over, a young man helped me connect the trailer to the truck correctly. Uhaul in West Wareham, where my original reservation was, helped me by giving me an adapter and rechecked all of the connection points. It is illegal to drive without lights -never mind to Maine 300 miles away. I was a woman by myself and found this experience to be highly traumatic. Everyone I have told the story to was appalled and reminded me that driving with out lights was illegal. Since it is illegal, how could he let me drive away to go 300 miles? I called uhaul and checked in the trailer on the same day I rented it. Canal Tire then checked it in two days later and charged me. I called them to complain and they told me they can't do anything about it and I should call UHaulBrendan F.

From the day I made the reservation this was a problem. I made the reservation for Hyannis, MA. The next day I received an email changing the location to Plymouth and I confirmed. The next day I received an email changing the location to East Wareham and I confirmed. Then I received an email changing the location to Abington (over an hour away each way). This time I called U-Haul and asked for a closer location and they gave me Bourne. After the reservation runaround I went to pick up the trailer I was renting at the time and date appointed and the business owner wasn't there. I waited 15 minutes before he arrived. While there he said he was closed on Sundays (and I was scheduled to return the trailer on a Sunday), so I told him I would return it Saturday (1 day early). Upon arrival on Saturday to return it, there was a hand written sign posted on the door that they were closed till Tuesday! I called the two business numbers and both sent me to a recording that ironically said they were open... Me and another guy dropped off trailers without anyone to check them in. On my way home I called U-haul's 800 number and was on hold for 5 minutes when a uhaul rep told me I had to check it in online and post pictures. I refuse (I was 20 minutes into my 35 minute drive home) and asked for a supervisor. I was on hold again for another 35 minutes and the supervisor checked in the trailer. THEN I got the receipt! They charged me for Sunday! I would definitely not recommend U-Haul to a friend. I will be seeking an alternate rental company in the past.SHANE R.
