The return process was uncertain at best. The location wasn't sure of what they needed to do, what paperwork to keep and weren't expecting a trailer to be dropped off. I should have checked online for better awareness of the process. The customer service rep I called was very helpful and everything was resolved easily.

The rep didn't understand how to help me - or even if I had to pay when I picked the trailer up. I called UHaul and they told me that I paid when I dropped off - not when I picked up. This proved to be incorrect as UHaul emailed me on Monday telling me they urgently needed to speak to me. I asked for assistance in hooking up the trailer to my vehicle and he refused to help. My 91 year old father had to provide guidance as I had no idea how to do it. The place in Brunkild did not accept credit cards, only cash or debit - totally ridiculous! All around a horrible experience - which I did convey to UHaul - but UHaul has not responded to my conversation that I know of. (I did have e-mail problems from late afternoon on Monday until late afternoon Wednesday - so if they sent me an e-mail - please resend it.

When trying to make the reservation online, the inventory in Brunkild showed no trailer available. After other location options were frustrated, I phoned uhaul and customer support suddenly told me it was available. Good ending.

The whole experience was not good. We booked back in November and got a phone call to pick up in Brunkild since this was apparently the only location with a 26ft truck. This was an extra 2hr drive out of out way. I had to pay 2 guys to drive there at pick up. This cost me an additional $100 in labour. Then when the guys got there the owner was not there for us. We got 3 phone calls before this specifically asking us what time we would pick up. Each time we gave a time and they said no problem since it was open until 10pm. My guys had to wait 1hr for the owner to show. This cost me an additional $50 in labour. I also had 4 separate guys at our location waiting for another hour since they were late because of the store owner. Now this cost me another $100 in labour at the job site. To top it all off the uhaul was barrier in the back under snow so my two guys had to dig it out, wipe snow off and the thing barley started. Overall because of the poor planning on uhauls behalf and communication you cost me an additional $250 in labour that should have been $0 for us. Not impressed at all.

Customers renting trailers should be made aware that they may need a tail light converter installed. I wasn't aware and it took considerable time to install one before I could pick up the trailer I ordered. This should ideally be done on the website when setting up a reservation.

Inconsistencies between call centre and location. When I called into the call centre to let them know I was to be about 90 minutes late, they had said it shouldnt be a problem and that I shouldnt be charged extra. At the location I was charged an extra $35, since the staff was new and I was exhausted I didnt make a note of it.

Booked a 5*7 utility on-line at THIS location. Called couple of hours before picking up to make sure everything was in order. Was informed I had to go to Weston location to get the trailer. Location manager reserved another trailer for me because of the inconvenient situation but informed me that I can only be the one to cancel the other trailer arrangement (inconvenience #2). I rate the location as good because they picked-up the slack for this corporation's inconvenient reservation arrangements they produce through online booking. Who books online for a trailer at one site to be told at the time of pickup that the trailer is on the other side of the city?

This was not our original location. Having booked a month in advance, it was very disappointing that our original location did not have the reserved vehicle. Not knowing the city made having to find this location very stressful on an already stressful day...

Although this was my first experience with u-haul I found that the service by the lady at the counter to be excellant. She was very courteous and helpful in providing all the necessary information. Staffing was inadequate. Friendly and competent agent, but very short staffed - long wait for everyone, and the phone rang incessantly, unanswered. Office was dirty and tired, made u-haul look like a dated brand. Trailer itself was fine EXCEPT I later noticed one tire was almost flat - maybe 10 psi left? That's dangerous and should have been noted and corrected before the rental went out.

Colin provided excellent customer service with reserving a 20ft truck weeks before due date & everything went as planned and was ready for pick up on our reservation date! I'm a returning customer and very pleased with this Uhaul location!

when we arrived at the location we were told that there was no truck available for us . there had been a mix up. In return I had to call the 1-800 u Haul to find myself another truck. No help was offered to me. But I was told that I handled it better than expected? Thoroughly disappointed but happy where I had to pick it up at another location. No compensation or offers apology we're ever given.

The location was not the safest for a woman to go to. Also, I had to incur 30 miles in gas on my car from the Scarborough location I had chosen for pick up AND then incur 30 miles in gas back to my house. By chance I got the last 10ft truck even though I had booked well in advance!

Absolutely disgraceful. I was charged $ 42 extra for fuel costs, when I returned the truck with exactly the same amount of fuel.

I had originally booked at a different location and time but a rep called me and changed it. He was unapologetic and sort of acted like this was what I had originally booked in the first place. Nonetheless, I appreciated the call and the location and time turned out to be great. Service was friendly and the van was excellent.

I'm not sure if it was just extra busy that day, but there was a 20 minute wait time at pick up and 10-15 min wait time to return the vehicle. The person at the desk was friendly and worked quickly, but I think having second person at the desk would have sped things up. Also, the return time was originally calculated by my booking time, not the time they got to me after the wait. It was adjusted when I asked and I'm satisfied with that, but I don't think the default should be to include the time waiting in line in the rental time.

Bummer having been routed to this location after initially having booked to drop off at Dupont West. In future, recommend uHaul refrains from suggesting Eastern Avenue is "only 15 minutes" away from the Junction.

The location that I dropped off the trailer was great. The persons that I talked to on the phone to set up the drop off location were useless. The first place they sent me to did not have room for the trailer. The second place that they sent me to was not licensed in the city to store trailers. It was this second location that I went to that could finally tell me the proper spot to drop off the trailer. If it wasn't for them I would probably still be driving around the city looking for a place to drop off the trailer based on the directions of your call center.

I would have appreciated being shown the truck - lights, seat adjustment etc. I was left to my own devises to work it out. But most of all I do not appreciate being ripped off - and the hike in rental fees for the long weekend was excessive. You might have maximized your yield on that one day but you lost an equivalent value in long term customer goodwill. NO I won't recommend you to others. NO I won't automatically come back to you in the future.

The truck we had rented was not available. The dolly's we required in the truck were not on hand or ever given to us. The customer service was lackluster and the sales teams only wanted to hand of the problem to the head office and kept blaming them.

The service was fast and courteous. All went is easy and relaxed manner, car parking is available on the same lot for $5. The truck was clean, supplies like dollies and blankets were available for miscellaneous cost, great experience, would definitely recommend to my friends, especially to the ones who helped me move.

Both of the employees I dealt with - the guy behind the counter and the guy who brought my van out front - were incredible customer service reps. I don't remember their names, but I picked up the van on Saturday, August 24 at around 9:30 am. I'd go out of my way to use this UHaul location if they're always that friendly and helpful. I returned my vehicle 30 minutes after close due to a severe traffic jam on the Gardiner. Unfortunately I was dinged an extra fee ($15 I think) as a penalty. I perceive this to be a complete cash grab on behalf of the company as it is not loss income since the truck would not have been re-rented until the next day at best. I have to rent a truck again on Wednesday (Aug. 14th) and will possibly explore other options. As a result, now the company is facing a situation whereby they will be losing future income.

Once I returned the uhaul truck, the check wasn't done. They just told me my credit card would be charged when the info was imputed into the system. I had filled the truck as per instructed, had no damage and the truck was clean. I would have liked to have that peace of mind before leaving the store and not risk having a nasty surprise later. What could I have done if they decided to charge me more for gas or other?
