Stood and waited over an hour for service the girl had absolutely no clue what she was doing. The guys ahead of me had been there 2 hours trying to get a truck. I will never use that location again and will tell everyone the same thing.

PAUL TThey overcharge me. I book 15 footer truck but they call me its not available and they said they will gonna give me 20 footer for the same price as 15 footer. Now i check the receipt they gave me and my credit card, they charge me for 20 footer truck. Straight robbery. One of the Furniture dolly is not usable. Truck is very dirty. The truck has a broken windshield but they didn't told me. So i need to come back and tell them so they know.

Shannon PTrailer hitch was frozen to the ground when I went to pick up the unit. Maybe have some blocks under all the hitch so they don't freeze and keep the chains out of the ice and all the plug ins. When I went to put the chains and plugs in they where all frozen as well. Someone had to use a skidsteer to get it out. It was covered in frozen mud I had to wash it on my own dollar. Now you guys trying to say I dropped it off in wrong location. Terrible experience and better off buying your own personal trailer then renting from uhaul neighborhood again.
MICHAEL MI recently had a very disappointing experience with U-Haul while renting a truck. When I picked up the truck, the fuel gauge was almost empty, which was already frustrating. The staff told me to return the truck with the same amount of fuel. I even double-checked this at the counter and was reassured that bringing it back with the same fuel level would be fine. After finishing my move, I made sure to refuel the truck and actually returned it with double the amount of fuel compared to what it had during pickup. To my surprise, when I returned the truck, the staff told me I needed to bring it back with at least a quarter tank of fuel, or they would charge me a hefty $66 fee for "not enough fuel." This was not only unfair but also felt like a bait-and-switch. I explained that the truck had far less fuel when I first picked it up, but they wouldn't listen. This experience felt like a complete lack of transparency and poor customer service. As a loyal customer who made the effort to return the truck in better condition than I received it, I expected fair treatment. Instead, I was met with inconsistency and unreasonable demands. I'll think twice before using U-Haul again or recommending it to others.

GORDEN MThere was no one at the location to help customers pick up the truck. We waited for an hour to get the truck key, it was very cold, and we were very stressed. We called several times, but no one answered. Finally, when we received the key, the truck was covered in snow, and it took us another hour to get it out of the parking lot. It was very stressful. Very bad experience. We lost two hours of our move, which resulted in additional costs because we had paid people to help load and unload the truck. I really don't recommend it, and I wouldn't want to use it again. Other than that, the truck worked well.

DWAYNE KThe Dawson Creek location has no staff. I called local phone number to book a trailer and lady gave me a Vancouver number to book ended up just booking online. After I had pickup trailer noticed on my bill I was gonna be charged one extra day because the "local lady" is in a different time zone so she thought I came an hr earlier than I booked for. U-Haul great but shit customer service from Dawson Creek location. Will not be renting from this location again.

BRADIE OThis Location should be givin to someone else! The Worst rental experience I've every had. No one was at the office all 3 times I went there, so I called the number on the sign, but it was a wrong number. I tryed looking up online and it was another wrong number. I finally got service from the centeral dispatch, but that meant I had to pck up after hours and they expect a "Convieniance Fee". Not Convieneant at all. This hole ordeal took me 3 days to finally get the trailer and then I had to Rush like Hell to get it back on time, but again, there was no one around when dropped it off. Very Disappointed !!!
Kelly RFirst they try charging me an Extra day by saying I picked it up early. This was before I even picked it up. Trailer I rented was covered in mud, was stuck in frozen mud. Called, no one wanted to help. Had to jack it up myself to get it out of the frozen mud. 1hour waisted. Next day the valve on the tire failed, this gave me a flat tire. I was located at a tire shop but U-haul insisted I use there own subcontractor. Had to wait 3hours, then he showed up missing the part, had to wait another hour for the part to show up. This is all while I'm parked 10 feet from a tire repair shop. U-haul said they would give me a discount, got the bill yesterday. No discount was added.
Mathieu AU-haul Truck are good, clean and well maintained. the only reason why I'm giving average is for the communication. no one at site, but the number provided is at Vancouver, we are in Dawson Creek. the response is very poor. we don't have many options in town.
KIRBY LI can't see Uhaul staying in business much longer. The run around to rent a truck for a day is beyond ridiculous. And then to be overcharged, specifically having to request a receipt, and then finally seeing the hidden charges. The future is not bright for Uhaul.
DARIN HNo one was there when the business said open. When we called the phone number we had someone not speaking English at all and had to hang up and try again until she would speak English to us. No instructions as to what to do and then was bombarded with text messages several days after dropping the truck off asking when the truck would be dropped off, I called to let them know I had already dropped the truck off and she said oh okay just ignore the text messages then.... very poor customer service throughout the entire uahul experience.
Annaleise MDropped off 1 hour before it was due The location I guess didn’t do the paperwork so it looked like I hadn’t dropped off called U-Haul 4 times to check to see if they had done the return one trip to the drop off location and a phone call the lady at U-Haul was very helpful and got the job done
BRUCE EHave a physical person available for face to face rentals, the honor system is great but not everyone is honest. I was surprised when they said open the safety box with all the keys and find the one you're taking.

DARREN MLet customers know what size trailer ball is used for the trailers. I arrived with the wrong size and had run and buy the proper size.
DEAN NAs a previous decorated U-Haul dealer for a number of years I must say that this rental experience left me somewhat bewildered! Customer service at this location is nonexistent. A far cry from what was expected of me as a dealer. Equipment was clean. All lights worked as they should. As a dealer though I was required by U-Haul to hook up the trailers to customer vehicles. A curtesy service that ensured proper hook up and piece of mind for both the customer and U-Haul. The trailer ball coupler could use some attention as it was hard to disconnect it from my truck. My truck is fitted with the Uhaul 2" ball hitch. I had to use a piece of 4x4x6 blocking to pry it off. I do think the push from U-Haul head office to go digital with the reservation and contract paperless initiative is a great idea, I did experience frustration building because of having to appease the system's requirements from my phone. For non technical type folks this was another customer service related issue that worked well for my customer relations as a Uhaul dealer. After doing all the required online data entry I was still required to call a phone number that was posted on the dealers window which turned out to be wrong and was provided another phone number to call for dispatch at which time I was on hold for far longer than what was expected of me as a dealer! I live 3 blocks away from the dealer location and needed to get my broke down quad the the repair shop which is another 3 blocks away. It should not have taken 2.5 hours for this entire contract to be executed.
Michael CI found the signal/brake light wiring connector, to be showing exposed bare copper and should be replaced. Was clean inside and tie-downs were intact. It was quick and convenient to access the trailer and to drop off.

Steven GTwo trailers I connected to my truck had mechanical issues. One had light bulbs needing replacement. One had rachets stuck, not working and rusted stuck in One position. No one was there when I picked up the trailer. I was there for 2 hours attaching trailers to be sure all lights and ratchet was in working condition. My experience in Kamloops was much better. I would not recommend Dawson Creek.

Norman MThe office is never attended. There is a sign on the door with office hours, but we have never seen anyone there. They only communicate via text message. We have recently had them add insurance coverages that were declined on the original reservation. Another strange request is lately they have been asking for photos of the trailer and hitch when we return it. I assume they are trying to make it look like they are in the yard when they are not.
Chris DThis location is absolutely terrible in every way possible! The staff is unreliable, unavailable, and has terrible customer service! This is by far one of the worst places I have to deal with! I will avoid using it at all costs! And i would absolutely never recommend it to anyone!

Warren SThey didn't put the dolly in that I rented, checked me in online without my knowledge so I was unable to do an inspection via the link that was sent to my phone, the lady didn't speak English well and wasn't listening to my concerns when I called her about condition report link and no dolly.

DAN CIn your contract you stated I would need to leave at least 1/4 rank of fuel. But when I picker up the truck it showed 35 km to empty somebody is not doing their job ! Also I recd a phone call saying I was overdue,but still had an hour before drop off. Recd a text message wanting to know what location I was dropping off at, when I put that on my on line contract . Then lastly received another phone call wanting to know what the code for the lock box was ( shouldn't you know what that is , it's your truck ).

mark LIt is really nice looking for the key drop in -25 degree cold and trudging through their unplayed yard. Nowhere near the door, no signage. It was like someone said let's put the key drop in the most obscure place possible.
Greg GI dropped the unit off over the weekend and there was no one there. I receivde no follow-up, so I assume all was well. I will note that the place was under renovation, but they accommodated U-Haul services very well and has a wide selection of units on their lot. And, they were conveniently located too. Easy access.

Frank BThis is the second time i have rented a trailer from here, both times being saturdays. Jan 6th The first rental - after waiting a couple days for uhaul to confirm my booking (completely understandable). The day of, the attendant Chelsea texted me asking if I still needed my rental and they are "closed" on Saturdays. The pick up went fine and so did the return. Feb 3rd the second rental - uhaul again taking a day or to for confirmation (Which i assumed was because she is closed on Saturdays according to her text)...FRIDAY 4pm i received a text from Chelsea again "you have a reservation 330 tomorrow. I will be closed at that time, would you be able to meet me for 10am?" This is ridiculous as it was the day before my moving rental, this was already confirmed, and clearly she isnt closed saturdays, just doesnt want to work saturday afternoons but waits to talk to the person renting and not uhaul. So unprofessional. After moving my financial meeting, i was able to meet her at 10am. (My vehicle doesnt have a hitch, but my partner who was working until 330 was going to be able to grab it with his truck). I asked her, because she was the one that couldnt meet me for my confirmed time, and also i wasnt able to take the trailer until my confirmed time.... if i can still return it sunday at 330 (The time i had booked until). She told me no but she wont be here to check anyways. - Which was fine. She requested i take a picture when we hook up for her and send it to her. She pulled out her phone, got me to sign the document, she did not do a walk around with me, she did not take a picture of the trailer connected to my vehicle - because she wasnt there. The main issue i have is when we came back at 330 to grab the trailer, it was frozen to the ground. The hitch was in a pot hole of the gravel filled with water that had been frozen. So the trailer wasn't even accessible. Which is the least she could have done. I tried to call her,, her phone rang and no answer, I sent a text saying the trailer was frozen to the ground, with no answer. We needed the trailer so my partner and i CHIPPED and jacked up the trailer on our own with a bar. (Dangerous). She did not follow up, did not return my call or text. I have all the texts, pictures and video. I would like a refund for my last trailer rental as this caused unnecessary stress, extra work and time, and the whole seemed very sketchy. We returned the trailer Sunday by 3:30, there was no one there to confirm (again) and no one reached out. I ask that you do not allow anyone else to book on weekends from this place, clearly lacking the time management, professionalism and respect. If she wants to be closed on the weekend, you need to stop letting people book on the weekend, there are other options for trailer rentals that wouldve been way less hassle. I understand her having something come up one Saturday but reaching out twice and then this happening with no follow up is ridiculous for such a well known brand.
Anndrea KI had the ABSOLUTE worst experience from this location. No calls were received the day prior to pick up by the location. Uhaul customer service then ended up calling us 4 hours before we were supposed to pick up the truck. We had to scramble around looking for a moving truck the day before a scheduled move due to lack of communication from this dealer. When we dropped off the uhaul we had issues with the return process. The location did not call us after we had returned without pictures due to malfunctioning technology on our end. I ended up having to call customer service, again to figure out what was going on. Tips: Answer your phone, ensure equipment is capable of handling winter weather conditions, and communicate issues with your customers in an appropriate time frame. I strongly urge those looking to use uhaul through Dawson Creek to look into other options. They are not reliable.

Sandro JBetter signage, had to look around for the drop box that wasn't near the office door. When I attempted to drop the van and use the app to return it on Saturday evening, the app wasn't working/wouldn't recognize the location. Had to rearrange plans on Monday to get back for opening hours but no one was there (albeit they could have taken the day in lieu for NDTR) but no signage indicated that. Luckily the app was working that time and I was able to return the vehicle properly, or so I assume.
COLIN MDo not hire any movers provided with a recommendation from U-haul the people I got did not apparently even work for a one moving. I got a text from one of them saying he was not even employed by the company and yet. When I complained about them, not doing the job and leaving halfway through and refusing to load the heavy items. And telling me that I had to hire some one else to hire. To load the heavy items. He said he'd been working with these boys for 2 years. Which is c*** I have on my phone. A message from one of them saying that he doesn't even work for the company I want a refund. I had to go up-and-down the neighborhood to get my neighbors to help me load this U-haul because it was less than half loaded and those boys just took great off. This is really a bad bad mood for this company. Do not use a one moving, and if you all recommend movers, do not use them. And be good to your neighbors and don't try to use the app to return

Chris SLocation was great booking on the website was a nightmare. When I was booking the site crashed twice and when I tried calling the 180 number I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. The lady at the site was awesome and helped me out.
Juanita SDidn't like our over all experience...when called to book the u haul was not told about added expenses. Because we had to pick up u haul over the phone as their was a medical issue, we understood that, but received our contract after we had the u haul and saw that we had other expenses. So when we were quoted 750 ended up costing us well over that. My daughter is moving next year and I told not to go with uhaul.
