Older truck. Warning kept coming on that the drivers door was open but it was not. Otherwise everything was fine.

Jane HI had booked a 10' truck and my U-Haul representative called to confirm my reservation, the pick up location was changed and also the truck I wanted 10' was unavailable. When I went to pick up in port Colborne in the parking lot they had a 10' truck I asked the teller if I could have that one as it as my original reservation, he said no it was booked for the following morning, but had said the guy who wanted it had requested 15' I asked if we could just switch he said no. I was also told I wasn't going to get charged extra for the bigger truck and I was charged for the 15' not a 10'. My recommendation is that when you make reservations then they should be upheld. And not switched. What's the point of making reservations when you don't get what you reserved and get charged extra…..
Pamela MThe truck we had reserved was not there when we went to pick it up. We had to take a bigger truck which was fine, however it should have been automatically offered at the same price I shouldn't have had to ask. I opted in for mobile pickup, but we had to go into the location which was hot, smelly and very unsanitary. There were bugs crawling all over the food items that were for sale. After waiting for 15 minutes, we were asked to wait while he served customers that had just come in looking for vape products. Once we got our truck and arrived to pick up our stove we realized the dolly we had ordered was in fact not on the truck. When we returned the truck, instead of apologizing he tried to blame us for the dolly not being there. He then tried to overcharge us, I had the exact calculations and price from the website along with photos of the mileage. He still ended up charging us more than originally quoted because he said it's more on Saturday's and that's up to UHAUL and there's nothing he could do about it. If the price is more on Saturday then that should be clear upfront You can't give a price and then charge more after the fact. If we would have been told, we would've simply booked it on Sunday. UHAUL should set higher standards for franchisees allowed to represent them. We have had good experiences with UHAUL in the past but would never recommend this location and definitely wouldn't recommend anyone eat anything from there.

Bill VI rented same size truck on two different occasions for same distance and charged two different prices. Not fair.
Ali AThe interior could have been cleaner. The window washer was loose from the wiper blade and wouldn't clean the windshield very well . It turned out to be more expensive than had originally exptected, however the overall experience was positive. The vehicle ran very well.
