Your company made me return the truck 30 miles away when there was a U-haul facility 2 miles and 6 miles down the road. Feel you did it for next user of the truck. Then charged me $45 to do so. Shame on you guys.

Scheduled Uhaul rental for 4 pm with appliance dolly. Website, hours on door, and google all said they were open until 5 pm. I showed up to pick up my rental and no one was there. Must have called the numbers on the door (both of them) about 20 times and left messages. I received a call back about 4:45 pm and she got me the truck but couldn't get me the appliance dolly because she had “left for the day”. I had scheduled to pick the washer and dryer up at 5 pm. I asked if she could come back to get me the dolly because I was going to pick up a washer and dryer. She wouldn't come back for the same reason... “she had left for the day”. The place is supposed to be open until 5!!!! Bad business. No effort at all to satisfy the customer. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend to anyone.

The process to pick up the truck was extremely frustrating. Because I was running slightly late (10 mins tops) they made it so I couldn't retrieve my truck online resulting in a 45 minute delay in getting the truck because I had to call the Uhaul 800 number to get service. This is extremely frustrating.

Pick up was quick and Easy. This part does not concern this location as much as customer service. Customer service over phone was terrible when I first made the reservation they changed the location and the scheduler was not helpful until about 20 minutes into the call. They again changed my tow dolly to a auto transporter but we're charging me extra for the auto transporter. I called and that guy was great and fixed it.

I was happy with the vehicle but it was filthy inside the cab .I understand with the virus going on that the cab was never cleaned.my return in lebanon was great Micky was very helpful and I liked the lebanon facility and all the uhaul staff there.Wish to thank UHAUL for their help at this very stressful time and from my friend tiffany wills whose mom passed away thank you for helping get her moms belongings home

I was shocked to see my bill, $73 for 2 hours and 13 miles. Also, my credit card is still pending a $129 charge that was initially taken to rent the truck.

The App is terrible, and should be supported by free we-fi at sites that rely on it. There is a hole in cellphone coverage at the site in Bennington. The App would get to the final screen before losing connectivity. If I drove away to get a better signal, the App wouldn't complete the transaction because I was too far away. If I stayed at the site, the App wouldn't complete the transaction because of connectivity issues. If the App is required, please make Wi-Fi available at all sites.

#1 have person behind counter knowledgeable of current policies I was informed at time of pickup at Bennington Self Storage that I was allotted 197 miles for my one way trip and that if my miles were less than that I would be credited if I was over I would pay extra. At conclusion of my trip I returned my uhaul with 177 miles traveled expecting a credit on my bill I was then told by the gentleman at uhaul that wasn't the policy and the other person was wrong. #2 When I initially picked up U-Haul in Bennington-VT I was told that was all set and had been inspected. I then left facility and about a 1/4 mile down the road I noticed the windshield was filthy I tried the windshield washer and no fluid would come out. I then pulled over and called the Bennington-VT office and spoke to woman there and explained the situation to her she couldn't believe it and said hang on a minute I'll check to see if I have windshield washer fluid.I waited 5-7 minutes on phone no one ever came back to phone in my disbelief I finally hung up the phone. I immediately called back the same number and my call went to voicemail I left my name and number and to please call me back. For the 2-3 hours I was loading my U-Haul up I constantly kept checking my phone to see if anyone had called me back about the windshield washer fluid but no one ever did. So I decided I would stop at a gas station and purchase some windshield washer fluid but I could never get the hood release to open the hood on the U-Haul truck so I had to drive 177 miles in a vehicle with no fluid and I had to stop on the mass pike numerous occasions to clean my windshield with the snow on the side of the road very dangerous to say the least I will never rent a U-Haul again because of this experience. What you can do to improve for the customer is to have someone who knows what there talking about and not give out misinformation to there PAYING customer. Also have a vehicle that has been properly checked for any discrepancies and one where you can access the engine.

I did not get the truck length I reserved . I paid more for mileage than last time. It appears uhaul can disappoint it's customers regularly and change rates and reservations at will . I'm talking about the corporation not the individual dealers .

The national service should be more precise. The uhaul trailer was not actually secured for me until I made contact with my pick up location. If I had not decided to contact the pick up location to be on the safe side I would not have been guaranteed use of the trailer.

The new drivers license upload process doesn't work very well if you don't have very good cell phone service. That location has no service.

It would be nice to have qualified person on the weekends for pick up. The person didn't even know Uhaul customer service. The customer service wasn't very helpful and when does Uhaul customer service hang up on you. Very poor service pick up and customer service and next time I rent will be Penske. I suppose to hear from drop off site because I drop off a day early and haven't heard from them. I pick up Sunday afternoon drop off Sunday night and here its Tuesday morning. I shouldn't have to pay for 2 days when I rented the truck for 9 hours

U-Haul increase the price per mile on my rental during the rental period, increasing my overall estimated usage price by almost double. I do not think it is fair to increase the price per mile during the rental period.

The women at this place are very rude. When I called to go through my details so I could confirm the amount charged to my credit card they hung up and wouldn't answer the phone again. This is terrible customer service. I was also charged 1.29$ per Mile instead of the usual 99¢ per Mile with no explanation as to why...

I couldn't get the 24/7 app to let me check the truck out (not ruling out user error) but fortunately the office was open. The girl at the desk was very helpful. I had the truck and was on my way in less than 10 minutes. No problem returning and was charged the expected amount. Would definitely use again (and probably will).

I got to the location for an 8am pickup. The program online to pick up the truck wasn't working and I spent 45 minutes sitting there trying to get it to work. I called the 1-800 number and waited 15 minutes before someone picked up. When the lady did pick up she told me she had no idea what the issue was and couldn't help me.

The phone app failed, causing my move to be delayed by 24 hours. The truck smelled like cigarette smoke, the breaks were terrible and the alignment was non-existent. The only positives were 1) I at least got a truck on the Labor Day weekend, and 2) the Bennington employee, Gretchen was extremely professional and helpful. That was the only positive to this rental experience.

Back of truck was dirty, had to sweet someone else's mess out. Smelled horrible. My 'mileage allowance' wasn't even enough to get me where I needed to go... stupid way of doing things. Website was horrible, waited on the phone for over 20 minutes with no response, no good.

While driving the uhaul unrealized by us my husband was driving the uhaul at night and got pulled over by 2 Vermont state police officers because the lights on the truck where not working only the headlights, he was warned by the cops not to drive at night which was hard because of us having to use the uhaul truck to move and specifically warned by the cops not to drive at night or he would get a ticket. He was made to put his hazard lights on and followed by the cops to make sure he parked the uhaul for the night. This also forced us to have to use the uhaul for a second day and pay out almost $100 plus more that I did not have. We would of been able to put the gas back into the truck along with paying for the day mileage but because of the time told by the cops not to drive it forced us to pay more out of pocket than what we had to in the first place. If it is expected to have the gas put back in when you drive it off the lot when renting/returning and what not. Shouldn't the truck be inspected to make sure all lights work before you pull off the lot? I am really not happy with being forced to payout more and losing money unknowingly to us with this rental truck with the malfunctions not told to us. So wondering how this situation can be remedied.

I went into the store on Tuesday to rent a truck for moving some personal items into a storage unit at your facility. I was told at the time i picked up the truck it had a full tank of gas, and bring the truck back with a full tank. I thanked the agent and left. upon returning the truck, i didn't have the rental contract with me, so at approximately 3 pm today i stopped at the facility and asked if the girl at the desk needed the contract and she replied no that she had checked the truck in this morning. I then asked her what kind of gas mileage you would expect to get with a small truck ( a 14 foot ) she replied she didn't know and her gaze immediately shifted away from me. I them proceeded to explain that i had only driven the truck a total of 15.9 miles and had to put 6.4 gallons of fuel in the vehicle to top off the tank. ( $18.00 ) on top of the truck rental. i said to her that whoever took the truck last didn't fill the tank to full capacity. She then without saying a word proceeded to print a receipt for the total charges, signed and handed it to me. I just smiled and thanked her and left. My point here is that the agent should have known the answer to my question or said she could find out to avoid an enraged costumer response to her inattentiveness to a customers question and explanation of the reason for the question. People are not very understanding in this day and age for and i wouldn't want to see any physical harm come to this young lady, or any of the people who work for U-Haul. The people I interacted with were nice. The truck, however, was barely drive-able. When I drove it on the highway, I had to constantly correct the steering, the transmission shifted all the way down to first gear when I barely touched the brake (going 55 MPH), and the brakes weren't great. The windshield wipers did not get the rain off the windshield. It was not only not easy to drive, it was fightening. I would not rent a truck from them again.

Office hours according to the website and what is posted on the door of the facility are 8:30am-5:oopm. No one was in the office between noon-1pm. The gate to the security fence is broken.
