The truck has almost an hour late for pick up. And due to this inconvenience we missed another very crucial appointment. This added extra financial burden. Also, when we made the reservation the quoted price was $113 but we ended up paying $170. The truck has not clean at pick up, we needed sweep it before loading. The clerk was slow to respond, gruff in manner, said no paperwork was necessary, and grudgingly showed us where to put the trailer we had rented - in a weed-filled area that had a disorganized appearing smattering of U-Haul items. We were glad we had prepaid for everything in Nebraska before we left. Also, the address of the place is deceptive. We finally located the place after stopping at another U-Haul place a few miles away.Thomas H.

The vehicle looked clean but when I wiped it down with antibacterial cleaner, I saw how dirty it was. With COVID-19, YOU should be sanitizing every vehicle before renting. I don't believe U-Haul is taking this pandemic seriously or doing anything to protect their customers. I am surprised and extremely disappointed.John R.

Attendant was rude. They did not have the moving blankets I ordered, and couldn't even tell me how many they had. They just gave me a bag of 5. I had to take my time on the phone to talk to UHaul and go to another store to get the blankets I needed.doug M.

This is a shady looking location, took an hour to get checked out. All kinds of scary life forms visit this establishment, but the owners were very nice. Uhaul has a computer problem with the last page drop off location, this is the second time I had an issue, it should not take over an hour to get checked out.James F.

Does not accept checks at this location. Expected me to show up at a liquor store carrying cash to pay for Uhaul. Truck was dirty with cigarette ashes. Location did not have furniture pads or a dolley but I was still charged for them.Ryan K.
The guy barely spoke English, and there is now a charge of $75 on my card and I have no idea why I received that charge, because the guy didn't have me sign anything, didn't tell me anything would be charged, AND there was more gas in the truck than when I picked it up, so if anything there should have been a CREDIT to my account,not a charge.Brian L.

I went to location listed and circled as my drop off. It was in Newark NJ. This building / location didn't even exist. So instead of a smooth transaction. I and my girlfriend who was following me had to drive through one of the roughest communities I've ever seen with one man attempting to stop my girlfriends car at a Red light. One of the worst transactions I've made in a long time. Then on top of it I had to drive an extra 20 miles to another location. Call. Have locations switched This was a nightmare. U guys need to fix the u haul site is so slow and the service cannot be completed in time because the site have alot of trouble and then not all customers can't wait patiently.Luis T.
1) Understand weather was cold - but we had to wait 45 minutes to get the truck since the lock was frozen. The vehicle should be prepped and ready to go at the stated pick-up time. 2) The vehicle had a severe safety issue. The driver side wiper would not spray wiper fluid. This caused very poor visability on the interstate as we were constantly being splashed by other vehicles due to the melting snow & ice. I had to stop at least 10 times to throw snow on the windshield to clean off the salt spray. You can have your U-Haul drop-off location confirm what I'm saying. I would not send this vehicle out until that wiper is fixed, especially during winter weather.Dave S.

Location shared space with a beer distributor and sole employee worked for U Haul and beer distributor. He seemed unfamiliar with billing procedures and called someone for help. He later called me for credit info provided previously. Also waited in beer customers while working with me. Took one half hour to get the truck.Jack R.

First, my reservation was for a 4x8 trailer, which was made months in advance. I found out the night before this trailer was changed to a 5x8, much larger than I needed and wanted. When I went to pick up the trailer, the place was a dirty, old, beer distributor in a poor section of town. The clerk who filled out the paperwork, was using an old computer without a printer, so I received no paperwork or contract. The clerk also did not know how to attach the trailer to my vehicle. I needed to drive to the local UHAUL center to have the connection verified and my contract printed. This is the original location that I reserved the unit through. I may not do this again, due to the experience that I had with this rental.Ryan A.

It took then 90 mins to process my rental. No one else was waiting I was only customer. I had to demand a print out if the confirmation that was emailed to me. They didn't want to give me the contract or proof of rentalDonna K.
This was by far the worst experience with U-Haul I have ever had. My "guaranteed ready" 20' truck was wedged in between a building and a large dual-axle ball-hitch trailer. I was just handed the truck keys and told everything was set. I inquired as to how I was supposed to get the truck out, and the attendant had to call his boss. After a long while, he attempted to back up another truck to attach its hitch to the trailer. He was not experienced in doing this and asked me if I could drive the truck to move the trailer. I was uncomfortable with doing this, but they offered me no other option. Eventually, I succeeded in backing the trailer out of the way. I lost about an hour of the daylight I had to load the vehicle, and when I asked for a partial refund for the awful experience of time and inconvenience I had to spend to free my "guaranteed ready" truck, I was told that "it was ready," and "it was not their fault someone dropped off a trailer in the wrong spot." I told the manager that I just wanted to give them an opportunity to fix the problem before I went to leave a bad review, but he didn't care. Adding to this disappointing experience, the place was dirty and the door was open, making it very cold and uncomfortable while filling out the forms that I had already filled out online, and the guy struggled with his English, so he kept handing me the phone to talk to his boss. The place also had an outdated system, using a personal laptop that was handed to me across the desk, so I could see the receipt, since their printer was broken. The overall experience made me never want to rent from there again, and we have already recommended to our family not to use this location. Consequently, I will be posting these comments on yelp and anywhere else I can as well.Ethan B.
After reading the reviews on this location, I was worried to pick up here. We had a big move ahead of us and didn't have time to deal with the long wait time that was reported under the reviews. Although the guy working was new and didn't know what to do, he was able to reach someone on the phone who was able to help and get the process going.
