I spend thousands of dollars per year with Uhaul. As the customer, I completed my contract. As the vendor, Uhaul overcharged me then double charged me. I now need to waste more time to fix. Watch out for these scammers...this is a terrible location and Uhaul should be ashamed to be associated.MARK H.

Maintain the truck to allow the average driver to feel safe when driving. Also trucks should be prepared for pickup. Not hidden in the back of the lot and having to climb through obstacles especially when the person clearly has mobility issues. I was told to climb through the passenger door to make it more accessible. I've used uhaul for every move. I've had issues with my uhaul in the past with it not starting during a winter move and now this solidified my decision to try other truck rentals for my next move. After renting a storage for 6 months with uhaul and spending almost $250 for a truck for one day, I expect more from uhaul. I will not be returning as a customer.jessica M.

The pick up location on Queen Street East assigned 115 Argyle St S on the documentation for drop off however , when we got to the site the location did not have me listed to return the vehicle . Upon speaking with customer care it was told that the assigned drop off location is 4663 Highway 6 S Petro CAN. Again had to ask customer service to change the drop off to 115 Argyle St S as we were there. It is really disappointing that your service centres are not aligned on the information being passed on to the customer. It has been a very daunting experience from day 1 with U-Haul .Manisha S.

I had an issue with the overall customer service at U-Haul. I originally rented the truck for 12 hrs(9am-9pm sept 29). After a delay getting into my unit to move I had to contact U-Haul customer service, to ask if extending the rental until the next day at 9pm (sept 30), they confirmed it wouldn't be an issue and put it through, so after a long day we packed it in and started the next day early. We loaded the truck and we're about 3/4 full when my phone rang and it was U-Haul calling to tell me the truck was late. When I informed him that I called and extended the rental until 9pm, he then said â€œwell I don't see anything and there's a family waiting for it, plus you've had the truck long enough. So I need to bring it back now. I informed him I had to continue and if customer service had told me it was a problem I would've had the truck back already. He then repeated what he said like a bad recording but in a rude tone. His only solution was getting me a truck the next day. Which wasn't a possibility in my end. He was extremely rude and I finally was fed up with his tone and hung up. I followed that up by finishing packing the truck and taking it to the new place, emptying it in the driveway and just returning the truck. There was no one at the drop off and the counter guy said he wasn't expecting anyone today, but I didn't want the hassle from U-Haul anymore. In the future I will be sure to go elsewhere for my needs.Jamie D.
the truck was very dirty we had to borrow a broom from the guy in the gas station to sweep out the back of truck the dash board was very dirty. we had a pick up time schedule for 10am when we got there the place was not open , we went back at about 10:30 am . the guy said don't worry just bring back the truck 6:30pm instead of 6 and you wont be charged and extra. However the receipt was emailed to us and the print was so small we could not read it..but i saw on the credit card a charge for almost $70 for what i don't know , because we literally drove 3 times from house to the next and each trip was a 2 mins drive , i will be calling u haulJudith B.

I am so glad I get to rate the worst customer service experience in my life. Customer service is so terrible, wait for 30 minutes then get disconnected, call and get transferred and wait for another 30 minutes and get disconnected, speaking to a representative and then get cancelled. My god you guys have the shittiest and I'm not taking that word back because its so true. U haul customer service sucked and the rep at location sucked. Both were uncooperative and gave very bad advice. At the end of the day I was overcharged because I choose the wrong km package. Gas station is very convenient in our little town. Area to pick up van is in back, pot holes, mucky...not ideal. Your entire rental process though is great...all electronic. Easy.Michael G.
7/8 tank of gas at pick up - thought it should be full. Three times I spoke with the agent about this. At pick up, upon return and again before I topped off the gas. Through broken English he tried to assure me it will all work out if I take a picture. I paid $52 for gas at the end for a 50 km total trip. There was no reconciliation for the gas I overpaid. Only at the end of it all did I see the sticker in the truck saying fill only to the point that matches the gauge at pick up. Not sure how I could fill while watching the gauge. There was no reconciliation for my overpayment. The agent just kept repeating â€œno problemâ€. So for under 2 hours use and 50 km my van rental was far too expensive.GRACE M.

Person working the counter barely speaks English. Could not give me the paperwork of the bill when picking up vehicle, told me to take the van and we'd "figure it out tomorrow" and I didn't even sign anything. Upon returning van, I see I was charged $15 for the insurance that I never requested or was asked if I even wanted the coverage. Counter person then tells me he can't remove it and that I have to call customer service. If I was given paperwork at pick up this could have been avoided. I used to use U-Haul quite frequently but this was my last time using your serviceROGER L.

What a ripe off the guy at counter useless. Back of truck had garbage in it. Ordered blankets and had to come back for them as they were not in truck when I opened it. Was qouted 89 cent per klm charged 146 per mile. Truck ran on 3plus RPM entire trip. Engine light came on. Called uhaul to dispute cost was told prices subject to change yet when I reorder on web site shows 89 cents funny how when you're ordering the price is alway 89 cent but soon as u confirm price goes to 1.46 and I should be calling my lawyer as I didnt sign any contract yet there was a signature above my name on the emailed contract that was sent to me AFTER I picked up the truck. When I asked who signed the contract at the drop off location the useless same guy admitted he signed it. I will never use this locstion ever for anything gas or rental or store. There was an IT issue between the online order and the attendant at the location. We then had to verify the application details on the phone as they wouldn't upload in the system. It wasn't a tragedy but we were asked, by the agent to order online and then we had to do it all again over the phone. Just an FYI to help orders in the future. Overall we were happy with the truck, very clean and with the local service.William R.

The fellow at the Esso station had people coming in while we were trying to complete the pickup, which took about 25-30 minutes. He was the only staff. The return took from 11;25 to 12:15. The fellow seemed to have to wait for the tablet that he used to process. The other issue with the location was that I had mentioned several times to the other fellow, who took my reservation, that we needed at truck with a ramp. Upon arrival, we found out that one had not been reserved. Fortunately one was available. Suggestions for this location would be to have additional staff for pick up and returns. Perhaps more local training would be beneficial, as there weren't really any informed replies to my questions....he just shrugged. Additionally, the person to whom I spoke with on the phone was efficient, informative, and clearly understood the whole rental process. This location is convenient, and would like to use this company again, but maybe not this location. Thank youHugh D.

I had requested a flat on wheels on my original order. When I got there he said he didn't have that. Got stuck paying for a regular dolly which was useless and no help for what I was moving. Back of the uhaul was dirty. Could have been swept out for me. The back was filthy. The front had mud everywhere all over the foot area.Angela U.
Absolute garbage service. My first ten (literally ten, not hyperbole) minutes was spent waiting for clerk as he was talking to some friend or family member in India. Finally the clerk got to me with what seemed like an annoyed look and gruffly asked "What do you want?" I told him I reserved a trailer and he took my credit card and then told me to "go to the back," pointing in the direction of the back of the gas station. Obviously no pre-trip or help with hooking up a trailer was to be expected at this outfit. When I got to the back the trailer was literally frozen to the ground. I tried to lift the trailer hitch but couldn't. I went again to the clerk and informed him the trailer was frozen to the ground and I couldn't move it. The clerk gave quite an inspirational response, â€œI can't do anything about it.â€ I would never have rented this trailer if I didn't absolutely need it and if there was any alternative trailer rental company near by. I needed to move my apartment TODAY, so it was incumbent upon me to find my own solution. I grabbed a dolly sitting out front and literally used it to pry my trailer hitch from the ground. I then had to shovel about three feet of snow to be able to get my van to the trailer. Even though I could now lift the trailer hitch it was still too heavy for me to move it on to my van hitch by myself, so I went back in and asked the clerk to help me once again, assuring him I took care of all the ice and snow issues, so he only had to help me lift the trailer hitch on to my van hitch. The guy helped me get the trailer on my van hitch at least, but as soon as he drpped the trailer hitch, he did not even wait for me to open my door and get out, he was literally back in his store in a New York second. I had to figure out how to hook up the trailer myself and it is not something I am very experienced with. Once I hooked up and got the power going I found two lights burnt out. Oh well.... I moved out of my apartment and drove through Northern Ontario and when I took a turn and hit a bump north of Thunder Bay my trailer seperated from my van. Thankfully, looking at the hitch and chains, I knew enough to put the safety chains on my trailer hitch and thankfully I was taking the turn at a slow speed so there was no damage. I was stranded on the road for about two hours and Uhaul customer service got a tow truck operator out to me and he was able to get my trailer reattached to my van and he secured the hitch properly. I only have good things to say about Uhaul roadside assistance. As for this Uhaul service provider at Caledonia Esso? I can only say if a person unfamiliar with trailers comes to this outlet they could literally leave the premise with an incorrect 1400 IB trailer hookup and put themself and people around them on the road at serious and even life threatening risk. This place is utter garbage service, to the point of being unsafe. Not recommended. I also put this review on GoogWilliam W.
The cashier working the store was very rude and disrespectful to me and my girlfriend and did not treat us very nice. I was not impressed at all with how he acted. I almost decided to go to a different location because his attitude. But other than that the truck ran fine and worked for what I needed it for. The cashier when I dropped it off was a younger man and he was very nice and helped me with dropping the truck off. The truck was very muddy when picking it up. I was originally told to pick the truck up here. Then I was told THREE TIMES that the location changed. I was also told to leave the truck in Caledonia. GUESS WHAT? I was charged an extra fee for "wrong destination" drop off. I was also charged extra mileage and fuel because THE TRUCK I BOOKED WAS NOT THERE and I had to take a smaller truck and make 2 trips between Stoney Creek and Ancaster. U-HAUL sucks big time! Tell everybody: U-HAUL is a complete screw-up of an 'organization'. (YES, WE MUST USE THE TERM organization VERY LOOSELY.)John W.
