I set up rental online. Pickup time was an hour before they opened. I was told a code would be sent by text to allow me to unlock the truck and go. No code was sent. Called U-Haul. They could not help. Had to wait for the office to open. I requested the appliance dolly. I got the smaller utility dolly with no strap.James W.

When I showed up to get the trailer there was a fire. I came back hours later. Fire was out. But No one could help me. I never got the trailer. I had to drive a Jeep w 35â€ tires and no AC in 100 degree heat for 7 hours. Very unpleasant.KEITH D.

We have used this location twice now. Grateful for the good selection of equipment, but they seem to be understaffed (usually just one person there with multiple people in the office waiting while the person has to rush in and out to get equipment. It took us over an hour just to pick up a cargo trailer that we had pre-checked in and paid for the day before. The we first time was the same type of experience. We finally got our truck after close to an hour, only yo find out that it wouldn't start, so we had to spend even more time getting our reservation changed and a new truck. Simple solution- have two people in sight.Bryan W.
They were closest to my home so it was my first choice. People were nice, area is nice, but it was a bit busy for uhaul and one person on staff to help, and I got the feeling that uhaul was an after thought or perhaps not as important as other things. I do realize that sometimes things get busy and perhaps that was a tough time of day. But then I got charged for extra fuel. I filled tue tank to exactly where tue paperwork exported it should be which was actually faulty at my expense. Truth is I lost about nearly a quarter tank of gas charge. That amounts to about $39. Hmmm. This isn't really the fault of bear river storage, more the fault of rancho uhaul. Perhaps it was a fluke?BRANDON DOUGLAS A.

Terrible customer service on returning dolley. The people were supposed to be at the U haul place until 5:30 wasn't there. We left the dollie there took a picture and did what we were supposed to do after leaving it. We never received a confirmation email. Called several times still no response. I told customer service i did not want to pay at all for all the troubles, meaning the: 1. The first trailer rented was the wrong size, I had asked for the same size as my rental 6 months earlier. 2. The trailer we used smelled very badly and the smell is into the clothing we put in the trailer. I didn't know of the smell when we picked up due to wind and being outside.THOMAS S.
The franchise owners (or whatever the storage unit folks are) are very nice and awesome evry time. UHAUL corporate, the way you do business, and your processes are atrocious. You shouldnt even call yourself a business. If I treated my clients the way you treat your customrs......I would be out o fbusiness in ten minutes. You suck.John S.

Location called me asking when I was returning the truck. I picked up at 11 am and was told I needed to return it to the drop off location by 11 am. Drop off location told me it had been rented at 10 am. The truck worked great but having it rented out early and them wanting the truck early soured the experienceMichael F.

This is not the location where I originally rented a truck. The other location did NOT have my truck, which I paid for in full prior to arriving. Fortunately, the dispatch was able to find a truck for me 20 minutes away (losing almost an hour to my moving day). The people at both locations were nice. But I'm paying for a truck, which by the grace of God they had at another location - and it was inconvenient to change locations.Rick L.

Bear River seems good. However U-HAUL as a hole is just that. Nearly the worst experience I have ever had with a national company. The Custer service was the absolute worst. 1 hour 20 min on hold. The service rep was friendly and tried to be helpful but the rest of the experience was terrible. I had to change locations to get what I needed and still didn't get a dolly. 2 hours and 50 min later I was able to drive away. I had helpers standing by and furniture waiting three hours. If I could give zero stars that would be more accurate again for U-Haul as a company, not the local store.kelly B.
What started off as a 25$ rental turned into 70$+ because it was two hours late. I said I needed a small trailer 4x8 for 10hours. The lady there asked if that was long enough I said I don't know but then she said she couldn't change it in there system. Don't you normally get a rental for 24hrs anyways.. apparently not.... while I was up north I called again to see if I could just leave it up there so it would be on time.. again I was told no I can't change it in our system. I called the 800 U haul# and of course waited 20 min no one answered...I brought back the trailer two hours late so I had it for 12 hours and expected to be charged an additional 14.95 but no what started as 25$ ended up being 70$ I'm very upset can't get a hold of anyone of course..I think it's a scam with their teaser rates... be aware! I won't be renting anything from u hail ever again!Bryan L.

I was charged $20 extra for gas when I went 19 miles for my round trip. I was also charged $20 extra for an after hours drop off. No one told me that I was suppose to call a number when I dropped the truck off. I was told that they couldn't do anything about it at the location but to call the uhaul number. I called the Uhaul number and was suppose to get a call back from a regional manager and I never have. The pricing is outrageous. It cost be $200 to move when I literally went 19 miles.JOSEPH H.
