The truck only had 1/4 tank of gas Though I know I only had to return to 1/4 tank, I think everyone would prefer to pick up trucks full and then refill when they are finished instead of guessing how much gas they need to add to use a truck. Otherwise all good and went well. Helpful person at counter and on phone.Gregory B.
The owner and the â€œstaffâ€ of â€œThe Beachcomberâ€, located at 1448 Hwy A1A in Satellite Beach, Florida 32937 was by far the best, easiest, and fastest experience I've ever had with a â€œU-Haulâ€ rental. The online reservation was very â€œuser friendlyâ€ and very easy to â€œreserveâ€ the perfect size truck for our specific purposes. I cannot imagine having a better experience. The owner of â€œThe Beachcomberâ€, â€œTonyâ€ and his staff streamlined the process and set the standards/â€œbarâ€ very high for any other licensed U-Haul vendor. The check out process was very glitchy and it took my WAY longer to get out with my truck than I expected. The photo app didn't work well and doesn't allow multiple photos of the same side to show different damaged areas. And the check IN link didn't work at all. Also, the vehicle needs and oil change so, it first, I was unable to verify the mileage so I had to turn around and return to the pick up location to have that looked at. And I didn't get any credit for lost miles. Overall, Very frustrating process.Matthew P.

I'm not a fan of the app. It did not work well, unable to verify items. The staff at the gas station were helpful and able to take pictures of my picture to send to their supervisor. Van was dirt on pickup.Stephanie S.

The cab in the truck smelled like a family of goats lived in there. I had to wipe down everything with disinfectant and spray deodorizer. It still didn't take the smell out and I had to drive it 2 hours north.Mark C.
It was a folding table at a gas station and there was no representative. Additionally, my reservation could not be found by the individual on the telephone that the gas station attendant called.sarah C.
I have used this place many times. This particular time the employee working the store was not trained on getting a customer a moving truck. The first trucks cab was dirty (pet hair and drink stains) and the power steering pump sounded like it wanted to come undone. The second truck was great but it want going back in and getting the employee to contact the employee that new how to get a uhaul to a customer. If one is going to have a uhaul operation have employees that know what to do and or be there for the customers.Benjamin R.

The location opens at 9. I arrived at 9:30 and the agent was not in. The gas station employee advised he could help by me sending him pictures of the cabin, mileage, and empty cargo bay, and he would share the images with the attendant who could close out my rental. The attendant said an email would be sent with a receipt, and I did receive it. I just feel it would be better the U-Haul agent actually be onsite during listed business hours.Craig R.
The back was not swept, it was filled with unfolded blankets, the truck was in horrible mechanical condition and the parking brake alarm would randomly come on, the passenger side door would not open, the engine wouldn't turn over after filling up with gas and wasted an hour of my time, and water some how got in the roof and was on my furniture.Joshua G.

Use the online app for truck check-in & do not wait or rely on store clerk. It is a convenience store with gasoline (Texaco) with a single clerk. The clerk does not have time or opportunity to do check-in timely.TIMOTHY S.
The van had cockroaches crawling out of the driver and passenger seats. I saw one in the cargo bay when I picked up, but thought it was just one. After driving for a bit, and especially when parking at destination, adult and juvenile roaches were crawling out of the seat cushions.Brett W.
The vehicle was clean on the inside, the outside could use a wash. Milage and gas content was accurate. Your website is difficult to use for first time users, had to reenter the information several times. I did not receive the final adjusted invoice/receipt yet. My overall rating would have to be average. This vehicle also indicated it needed an oil change.JeanPierre H.

The truck ran terribly. It was rough and hard to drive. It was just terrible. I can't emphasize enough how rough it was. I Felt like gears were grinding. And I felt like I was putting my life at driving it..I was supposed to be able to check in by phone but couldn't. Instructions on the app for drop off were not clear. I also requested and paid for a dolly that wasn't there. One good point is that The woman I spoke to on the phone was nice.Jennifer T.

I made a reservation for pick up at a Uhaul that was right next door to my home one month in advance. On the night before pickup someone called me and said that the equipment was not available at the requested pickup which was a bold face lie. as there were 3 trucks and I had stop in to see if they were available...they were!. so instead of walking to pick up the truck I had drive down the road very inconvenient for me. The pick up was not in person if I did not have a phone with me I could not have rented the truck and the software did not work well on my galaxy phone I had to ask the convenience store clerk for helpCHRISTOPHER R.

Apparently, the reservation was somehow cancelled by U-Haul, but we were not advised of the cancellation. When we arrived to pick up the truck, they did not have any reservation for us. Luckily, they did have the truck we needed in stock and were able to set up a new reservation so we could take the vehicle.LASEL E.

Fuel gauge showed just below full so the previous customer did not fill the tank. I put in 11/2 gallons for 7 miles and showed above full. I had to do all the running around to get photos to show mileage and gas tank level and around the vehicle to show it was clean and no damage because the attendant in the shop could not leave to do it herself, so I did your work for you. I still have had no receipt nor do I know what my credit card is going to be charged yet but your quick off the mark to get my review of how you did. Have an actual furniture dolly with a strap. I was expecting that and instead got a plastic roller with four wheels. Not good for moving a refrigerator. The truck was filthy inside the cab. I feel like I wasted money.GREGORY B.

We reserved a dolly and a platform With meals. When we got there they told us the last person must not have brought it back. It is difficult to move when the items you needed and reserved were not there at pick up. We would have rented from another location if we new they didn't have the extra supplies.KEVIN S.
