You can have your dealers quote properly and stand by their word. We were quoted 19.95/day plus 39 cents per mile which should have come to $1542.33. Instead, we were charged $1978.00. When we questioned bill they said we had to talk to corporate. I called corporate and they said they charged us 360/week plus extra mileage. We were never told any of that information when we picked up the truck. I spoke with David at UHaul and he clearly refused to stand by the original quote we were given so we got screwed. Apparantly thats how UHaul operates. NEVER AGAIN will I use them or BI Rental in Homer Glen, Il.

I was very dissatisfied. I reserved a 20 ft truck. I never received a call the day before to tell me where pick up was. The morning of rental, I was sent a text telling me where to pick up the truck. I called to confirm and was told I was getting a 15 ft, not the 20 ft I had reserved. They said they would give me a trailer, but it was at a different location. The night before, I called customer service and was told a 20 ft truck would be in Lockport. I was unable to move all my belongings due to a 5ft shorter truck. I was and am ticked off

The van was pretty dirty inside and the box could’ve been blown or swept out. The truck had 77,000 miles on it and the doors struggle to open or close without slamming them. The truck ran fine it was just getting old

I was told that I could bring the truck back a day later. I was not told I would have to pay more. They said it didn’t matter when returned since they were closed today. I don’t think I should have to pay the extra $34 for rental and insurance. I would l refund please. I would not have kept it if I knew it would cost more.

Nothing really. The truck was ready to go when I arrived. I received instruction on how to open, close & secure the overhead door & use of the ramp. I did purchase the Safemove Plus insurance which covers everything. I didn’t need it but gave me peace of mind. I would rent U-Haul from this location again.

Estimated cost very close to actual cost. If I need to rent again I would rent U-Haul at this location. Only complaint was that the cab smelled like a previous customer had smoked but I am very sensitive to that.

I called as many as 18 locations, looked at another 20 online and nobody had a one way ,15' or 17' truck, which ever rental.I checked a 50 mile radius , everyone was taken. Then a uhaul employee had a slip of the tongue. I started calling and send return to same location, look at that everyone had a truck to rent me. Your company caused undo stress during a very difficult time, not to mention more money, because I have to go back and pick up another load. After making my wife and I beg, uhaul offered a 6 × 12 cargo trailer. Not big enough for everything, but what could I do. On top of this grief, i had to rent a truck to haul it, another expense, from a car rental shop. I drove my Sonata, cause I was planning on Renting a TRUCK!! I'm still considering suing, for extra expenses, mental distress and discrimination. I can prove uhaul is the worst of the worst. Penski is much more expensive, but if your moving out of Illinois to another state, save yourself the grief and rent from Penski. I'm also sharing my story on Facebook and contacting the media. Lawyer first though. Uhaul reps, you have all the info on this page to fiqure out who I am. See you in court! This post is NOT about B I Rental in Homer Glen, it's about the uhaul company's unwritten policy & procedures to discriminate, period!

Our original pick up was scheduled to be at Teds Custom Installation at 1 pm on August 24. When we arrived there was no vehicle, there was no notification of any issue with our pick up until 1:30 pm. We waiting in the parking lot for 30 minutes trying to resolve this issue with customer service until FINALLY customer service called us (as well as an email 35 minutes after our pick up time) to let us know that our pick up location had changed. The new location was fine, but they said we were luck to get this vehicle because there was a cancellation. We were 1.5 hours late for our event due to this situation not to mention several miles and several minutes out of our way, which in turn COST us more. I am VERY unhappy with this and will NOT be using UHAUL in the future. I will also be calling this compaint in by the end of the week. I would expect FULL COMPENSATION for such a horrible horrible experience.

The store closed at 4:00pm. I was there at 4:05pm. The store personnel were standing in the parking lot watching me struggle with the online return. We did call support and they were helpful, the two employees stood in the lot, 50' away just talking to themselves. It is disappointing in that they could have come over to assist and really demonstrated a helpful Uhaul experience. Alas, they did not.

There was a rivet missing at the front of the trailer, floor height near the center. I did not notice this until I got home, I was inside the trailer and could see light coming in. There was also a small hole in the front right corner (prior damage). I had to place silicone in both holes to avoid getting contents wet when it rained and it did rain. I was charged 5 days instead of 4 that was quoted on the website when I put the time dates in. I showed up 1 hour earlier since that what was recommended on the website. I picked up the trailer at 3:30 PM rather than 4:30 PM on Thursday and dropped it off Monday night. Not sure if that was why.

The actual pick-up/drop-off process was great. However, I received a call two days before my move date informing me that the truck I ordered (almost a month earlier) was not available. I spent almost 40 minutes on the phone with a U-Haul representative while he tried to figure out a new option for me. It took extremely long and should have been all set up for me rather than me sitting on the phone as the representative tried to figure it out.

I originally reserved a trailer from the Fox Valley location only to be contacted by the site I picked up from advising me that my site changed. This location was an hour away from my house opposed to the 15 minutes the original location was. This is a crappy was of doing business!

Van was very dirty. Cigarette ashes in the ash tray .Sticky soda all over the floor. And the brakes squeak a lot. Location is great however that particular truck was not serviced at all ,very disappointing.
