$19.99 per day? I rented a small truck with a $19.99 sign in the window. My rental fees for a one way day trip 120 miles away cost over $170 (plus insurance) with unlimited miles. I returned it the next day at the destination only to find out that I owed another $30 due to excessive mileage. I read horrible reviews and thought that people were just being over critical. I know now that U-Haul's advertising is a "lost leader" approach and a consumer trap. All together that $19 truck cost us almost $250 dollars for a 1 day rental.

rOriginal contact had wrong equipment and contact number was wrong. Wasted hours trying to locate equipment. Your phone and contact process for customers are very Poor ....... bad news. I would like to speak to management that oversees quality control or service. Cell 770-712 -6467

staff was not too knowledgeable about the different insurance options. The truck cab was dirty with dog hair, a pack of cigarettes and a empty bottle. Also the back of the truck had not been swept out. I had to do it myself.

The whole self checkin was a nightmare. I lost about 50 minutes of my rental time due to it, so now I have to do another move tomorrow. It's the worst. You really need to fix the process and technology. Luckily the staff at the location were friendly and helpful.

The phone system for making reservations is a bit of an issue. On hold for most calls for 15 to 20 minutes. Even though I had a store that was 3 blocks from my house, I had to pick up at a different location nearly 20 miles away. Which made for a wonderful mess when I discovered that the dolly I paid for, wasn't in the vehicle. I ended up renting one from a different store, and was never reimbursed. We won't talk about the gas mileage, but be prepared to be shocked.

I rented a truck and never used it. I get that I should pay 19.95 for the rental, but being charged for mileage on a truck that was never used is kinda ridonk.

I rented a truck for 2 FULL days, I told them I would return the truck by 2:00 p.m the 2nd day and had the understanding that it was okay, but, they called me early the 2nd day saying that I needed to return the truck by 8:30 a.m or I would be charged a 2nd day, which they did, and they charged me double on my 'safemove' insurance, which I was also led to believe that I would not be charged for- so obviously I was disappointed- i was refered by south plaza uhaul to them, and they're great, but I will never use the s.lynnhaven rd. location ever again

The sizes of the truck are misleading. 10" does not work for a 1 bedroom apartment. and I doubt a 15" would be enough room. The prices are outrageous as well. 95$ for 6 hours.... yeah not worth it

Customer service was above and beyond. The entire transaction took less than ten minutes. One person was handling the trailer part and another person was handling the contract part. Five star location!

I returned my rental truck at a sketchy dark auto shop. It was uncomfortable to be outside taking pictures of the truck in a place like that at night. I had the truck for 2days and 2hours but was charged for 3 full days at the full price. Not happy at all

Though i came in at 0800, due to previous clerk doing, i was early. They accomodated me! They had no choice but charging me for the fuel that was not correctly entered. Fortunately, i took a picture of the gas tank display.

The associates were plain rude and nasty.. We were trying the self pick up but having difficulty figuring it out. There were no customers yet they didn't bother walking outside to see if we needed help. When we went in they were extremely rude, especially the Brunette who appeared to be in charge, at least that day. I asked if they could process the request online since we were there, and she Snapped at me saying no. I responded that I couldn't figure out how to get the site to accept we were picking up the truck. She snapped again, and what I mean is raising her voice, speaking to me angrily and as if I am stupid. She said I had to download the App and redo it all. I asked again if they could do it for us since we were standing at their ounter and the other girl who appeared to be training asked if she could do it for us. I told them we already had a reservation number, logged our credit card and driver's license and didn't want to do it again if not necessary. The other girl finally did it. The Brunette even rolled her eyes at me when I asked for my credit card while I went outside to check the vehicle. She said no, we hold that on here. I said, I want my credit card and when I come back in to sign you can have it then. Also, they had been smoking in there, it smelled like a terrible ashtray and the whole location could use a facelift or cleaning up and organization.

I want a credit. The sun visor was broken. There is no way the location did not know it. Also, there were no pads nor a dolly. The instructional video needs to be updated. The truck # was above the driver side, not near the bottom of the driver side as illustrated in the video.
