Pay attention to equipment on hand. Make sure it is ready before handing out keys. Tires on rear were almost flat. Check engine light was on. Truck was filthy in the cab and cargo areas. Starting mileage and gas level were not documented.

Big pot holes in parking lot
LINDA TI rented the $19.99 van for a day. That is what it said online when I made the reservation, and that is what was painted all over the side of the van. Then I ended up being charge $89 for the day. BAIT AND SWITCH. OF COURSE THERE IS NO PAPERWORK BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS DONE THROUGH A CRUMMY ONLINE SYSTEM. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!! BEWARE U=HAUL BAIT AND SWITCH ON THE PRICE!

Renso HThe agent barely acknowledged I was there so that was rude, he did not look at the truck when we got there except he looked out the office window and told me to move it. We waited 20 minutes for him to inspect the truck then he told us we were "Good to Go", he did not look at the truck at all. Now I get the receipt and see he charged a $ 25 for a cleaning fee! No trash was left in the truck, the truck was swept out.

CARLENE CI requested an appliance dolly. When I picked up the truck I was told no dollys were available. That was the sole reason to rent the truck. The truck had trash in it. My previous experance with U-haul was perfect. Not so good this time.

Mark CThe pick up time was scheduled at 2PM but the equipment became available at 2:45PM. What's more, the store manager gave me impressions that he would be back less than 10 minutes, or just pulled in, instead of getting us the accurate descriptions of the situation. Later, he told me that the schedule is not firm but "flexible".
Haeyeon YWe called this location to ask what we should do as our windshield wiper flew off in the rain, which we experienced the majority of the drive, and we’re told to stop at Any U-Haul along the way and they would provide us with parts at no cost. Had to turn around and navigate small streets, we had a 15ft truck and a trailer with our car attached, to find a U-Haul that didn’t even have the parts but kindly gave us duct tape to wrap the blade with as it scraped against the windshield. Due to the incident with the windshield wiper, we were set back about an hour. We called ahead around 4 saying that we should be arriving at 5, we are aware this location closes at 5, but asked if they would be able to help us take off the trailer attached so we could safely pull into our new residential street and unload the truck. The man who answered grumbled over the phone that they in fact closed at 5 and will be there no later, no exceptions. We still hoped to make it in time and pulled into the next door lot at 5:03 to find they had already left. The next morning we called to tell them we were on the way to unhook and return the trailer and leave with the truck to unload it at our residence, then return the truck and pick up our vehicle. A simple and easy process that the Abilene U-Haul assured us we could do as it Is the most common way of unloading and allowed as we had two separate contracts for the truck and trailer. The Ruston U-Haul, seemingly the man from the day before, told us it was not possible as “people like to try and steal trucks/trailers from the lot”. It took us extra time to unload everything as we have to unhitch it all by ourselves and re-attache it all again. When we did finally arrive at drop off (on time, and a day early, mind you) the employees barely acknowledged us standing In Front of them. We had to prompt them to tell us the next steps and see what all we needed to sign. All in all it was a horrible experience with the Ruston branch, the extremely poor customer service was like whiplash compared to our pickup location in Abilene.

KOLETTE WI called ahead to ask if it was possible for me to drop the car hauler off after hours. The man on the phone told me that it was no problem and to leave the trailer in front of the other car hauler in the parking lot. When I arrived at the location, about 30 min after closing time, I saw that the car hauler trailer(s) were parked so close to the road that it would be very unsafe for me to try and drop the trailer that close to the road. As I got out of my vehicle, I was approached by a vehicle with (2) men inside. The driver told me" hey, park that trailer in front of the first trailer next to the road like I told you on the phone, and make sure it is straight", and then drove away. I parked it in a safe place and left. Very rude and unprofessional to me. Won't be going back there for any reason.
Richard DThis lot was VERY crowded. It was hard to find a spot to put the truck that didn't feel like we were blocking someone in. We did the after hours return, and managed to pull the trailer into a spot and get the truck in as close as we could, but it was super crowded.

Jeff PWe were told we’d get compensated for the lack of Air conditioning, which was nice. However, we have not been and actually are being told we owe more money. We were helped outside of the building which was locked, so cannot comment on location.
Mary WU-Haul truck was unacceptable and the 1800-number kept giving me the run around about they have a truck for me then there was none. I wanted a 15 foot truck go figure a 26 foot was suddenly available. I want a the 15 foot from west Monroe but had to get the truck from Ruston which meant putting extra miles on the truck.
