There was absolutely no signage at the Aubuchon Hardware as to where I had to leave my Uhaul trailer, and the paperwork didn't have anything on it that told me where to place the trailer. Some signage - and LIGHTING - if 24/7 drop off is an option would be great for the next customer.Samuel B.

Truck was clean and in good shape, auto transport ratchets were frozen in place and it took some effort to get them working. This location did not have pads or appliance dolly that I reserved. Original rental location â€œdidn't haveâ€ the AT, but when I stopped by to get the pads and dolly they had 2 ATs and the pads, but no appliance dolly eitherâ€¦Alex P.
Young man did not know the difference from the temp gage and fuel gage. When questioned about the bill got fustrated and was clueless then gave the tablet to a young lady who sorted it out. I was correct after calling U-haul. Wait to contact a U-haul representative was too long, I lost 45 minutes I can't spare. Have 30 plus years in customer service his actions were poor judgment, the girl was great.Franz H.

I was a bit concerned from reading comments that the trailer we rented might not be there, but everything went smoothly and we found the experience to be a very good one. Brian was very helpful and got us on our way in less than 15 minutes.Ken C.

Improve your system so that "one-way only" locations like this can have reservations more than two days in advance. Being able to use this location instead of the one we were forced to reserve initially saved us over 40 miles in charges. WIth U-Haul's egregious mileage rate, that's not an insignificant amount!Morgaine B.
It was not Hardwick's Pick up location who is to fault - it is UHaul's. I personally went to Hardwick Friday morning to confirm I had a truck and my equipment. I was told I wasn't in the system AND UHaul doesn't supply any equipment at that location. This is less than 24 hours before a move and I had paid for and made this rental weeks before. Michael made many phone calls and found my truck was in St. Johnsbury . I called St. Johnsbury and was assured I had a truck reserved there for the next day. I drove to St. Johnsbury the next morning (Sat.) to pick it up at 8:30 and I was not in the system anymore. The truck was now in Hardwick. It was noted I was sent an email giving me this information - moving from a location where there was no service makes this even more difficult. Calling locations that don't answer makes it harder. Bringing the truck to Morrisville as a drop off was tricky because as these concerns were being entered on my phone I was kicked off the system and couldn't get back in and just left the keys in the drop box. All of this on a very stressful moving day. I need to be reimbursed for the 2 dollies and 12 pads I paid for. The extra time and mileage I expended should be reimbursed. I hope UHaul can learn from this and make communication better.Marlou S.
The whole experience with getting the rental truck was a huge pain in the ___. No customer service on the phone with your dealers in the Newport area however Micheal at the hardwick store was great, with all the business I've given you over the years that was the LAST time I will use your trucks.David L.

i went to return the trailer on Christmas day and they were closed , so I returned the trailer at 8 am on the 26th. I was charged an additional day! That was a rip off!! NOT A GOOD COMPANY ! I will rent somewhere else in the future !!!!!!!!!Dale W.

The problem I had was not with the pick-up location, it was with the reservation center. I don't know what the problem was, but the employee at the hardware store where I picked up the trailer had trouble getting the reservation to release the trailer and allow him to assign it to me. This caused a long delay in picking up the trailer and therefore a delay in my departure from Vermont. this has been a frequent problem and if there was another option to meet my needs, I would certainly seek one.Bobbi P.

I don't think that the Location people had anything to do with the transmission shifting problem or the absolutely horrible gas mileage nine mpg. The truck was clean but mechanically it definitely had issues.William P.

My reservation was badly messed up by someone who, on the phone, identified himself as the regional manager. The information that the pickup location had was wrong. Because the local folks involved just wanted to get me out of there, they didn't confirm any of the information. So I never got a contract. I was also left on my own to hook up the trailer.Christina R.
