Jonathan HernandezI asked for a trailer with a drop down gate, I was told I would get one. I did not! So I payed for a trailer that I had to pick the equipment up and slide it to the front. So I think it would be best if ur people were better trained to know what ur trailers are equipped with.
michael huffOpened an hour after the reservation. They offered no help in finding another moving vehicle when the reservation was not even going to be at their location for another few hours. They advised to call U-Haul. They charged for gas replacement after reading the gauge while parked in an incline. When asked if they could read the gauge again, they simply said to talk to U-Haul. Not helpful.
Dustin StevensThe truck was reserved for 7:30 am but the rental location was not open until 9 am. I waited for 1.5 hours in the parking lot for the location to open. That isn’t the best way to start the move. I feel 20 percent of the charges should be refunded back to my credit card.
Peter MarionCouldn’t have been simpler. I was not sure which location was going to be closest to my new house before driving across the country. I noticed this one after unloading the truck, called to ask if I’d be allowed to drop off with them and after checking to confirm, they said yes! It saved me from driving back down to Portland. Great experience overall.

David KlenkStaff didn't want my 4x8 box trailer and were not friendly or inviting. They made me drive around the back of the store and unload the trailer myself and move it to the back by the woods. I got all dirty doing the job that they should have done.

The pickup experience took over an hour even though I arrived early because your 24/7 no contact pickup was glitchy and wouldn’t process- 25 mins on the phone with 2 customer service reps to solve the issue. The price to go one way was significantly cheaper than the in town moved I was forced to use which makes absolutely no sense this ended up costing over double what the original estimate was. I will not use or recommend U-Haul to anyone else ever again

I had to send them at least 8 times. Chatted with an agent online twice and received a call from an agent once. So I wasted time there instead of being able to move my things.

Kathy LagasseWhen my U-Haul broke down the company that was trying to help me through road assistance took 6 hours to get somebody up on the side of the road on the main turnpike to come and tow me fully loaded. After 6 hours they towed it to my house so I could unload it and then the next morning we had to go through the whole rigmarole again to get it towed out of here. We were told that the reason people don't take U-Haul road assistance calls is because you pay so little for road assistance. I requested not to pay because sitting on the side of the road for 6 hours kind of messed up our move and they have seen fit to charge me $53. I have requested that back in fact I think you should pay me for sitting on the side of the road and taking care of your truck to 6 hours

Not much interaction however explained my bill and what was being charged and credit of 60 dollars that uhaul thought appropriate for my 3 hour wait time to be told I had to go to another location out of the way to get a truck from another location. Not this stores fault.
Justin PouliotThe truck leaked like a sieve. We had to go buy tarps to cover what we put in the truck. We picked the truck up at 2pm on Sunday. We cleaned the truck and filled the gas tank. So why was the charge 247. We were quoted 25 dollars a day. So 25 dollars a day and I believe that we should get a credit because the truck leaked. They said they was taking the truck out of service....How come I have to pay extra because the trucks aren't checked out between rental.

When taking the photo of the odometer and fuel tank on the dash - as I was returning after the store had closed - there was an issue on the uhaul website stating "not enough memory". I ultimately had to call customer service for them to resolve the return issue so that I wasn't charged with any fees. Otherwise, a great experience.

Anthony VafiadesWhen I first reserved a 15’ truck, it appeared that I was paying $46. But when I checked in it went up nearly $20. Also, I have enough experience gassing up to know that even though the gauge says full, that doesn’t mean it’s completely full. I only drove 18 miles and had to put in 3.5 gallons of gas. I’m sure I’m not the only one that knows it’s a cheap scam. You already got my $14 “protection” money

Yuxin LiRoutine lubrication is lacking. Doors need to be slammed to close, back door and latch were very stiff. Door seal fell off passenger door. Engine lacks power, most likely due for 100,000 mile servicing with 125,000 currently on it.

I wasn’t made aware that I could have used up to 700 miles for the same price so we got charged a crazy amount and I will say the Portland Maine Marginal Way manager was rude and disrespectful. I’m officially no longer a customer.

The only reason I selected "No" for the recommendation is UHaul charging me $18 for over mileage when I told them I was going to Gorham first and only dropping off @ Windham because it was the closest place to drop off. No more UHaul when I rent to move to Florida next year. Can't recommend UHaul.

Keith ShirleyCharged $25 cleaning fee. Vehicle was left better than found. $25 fee is bogus and gauging. They assess this after you leave. If they are adding charges they should contact customer and/or review before the customer leaves, not after the fact.

The smell is still on the clothing that I was wearing, i.e., the person's cologne transferred to the driver's seat's upholstery, and my clothing absorbed it. I doubt anyone had wiped down the cab's interior, prior to my use. The staff at Aubuchon's were quite pleasant and helpful, though.
Ashley MoyeKeep registration stickers up to date. This one had a sticker that expired 12/21. Fortunately law enforcement did not notice. We brought it to the attention of the drop-off facility. Otherwise the condition was great and the people extremely helpful.

virginia chaloultWhen you make a reservation and it’s confirmed then the night before try calling, leave a message, I call back can not get ahold of anyone in Maine so no one can tell me anything, I called during hours rep told me Maine reps must of turned their phones off, then find out when I go to get the truck I have to drive 40 min to a different uhaul, a bit frustrating, you have lost my business and to have your rep to instantly tell me she will disconnect me because I’m frustrated?!? Understanding someone’s frustration is the easiest way to decrease the stress, not to mention how stressful moving is

No one had put the additional items needed in the truck and basically was told its out back and no one said even how to get out back. I brought the truck back and got a final bill then an addition 25 dollar charge right after the final total which NO ONE has explained as of yet. It is not on the final bill and I have no information as to why or what it is for.

Thomas KomulainenThe truck was not pulled up for me to take and go. I had to back the truck out of a spot into parking lot traffic and parked cars. This was difficult to do since I was only one person and can’t see what’s behind me. In other locations the truck has been pulled up ready to go or was backed into the spot. The employees can do this easier since they work when the lot is less full and there could be two of them so one could stop traffic and direct the driver as needed. They also didn’t inspect the truck with me. That might be because I purchased the extra insurance and I don’t know that I did the last time. The people themselves were super friendly. I would recommend them to others, I would just suggest they help back the truck out ( I understand why they aren’t backed in, because they use the windshield for advertisements).
