Eddie S.The location was decent. The experience I had was overall terrible. I had reserved a truck at a location closer thst was listed as open on Sunday when I needed the truck. I did not want to deal with renting a truck without anyone there in person. My reservation was moved to a different location not open on Sunday forcing me to use the internet for everything. I did show up later than my noon pick up by about 45 minutes. Trying to check in using the web service was giving issues, so after probably 20 minutes of getting no where I called a number. Was informed that since it was an hour after my pickup I couldn't use the web service. Note that I actually arrived within an hour but couldn't get anywhere online for a while. The person on the phone allowed me to start the process. Still having problems, it was continually saying my location was off when it was not. So in a parking lot in Alabama in August when it's about 95 degrees out, I am simultaneously calling 800 numbers and trying to download the uhaul app. Phone service says 15 to 20 minutes before I'll be answered. And bad signal means it takes probably 10 minutes to download the app. After downloading the app I hung up, it started to move the process but was very slow and clunky. App is slow to use, and when typing covers up the area you are typing on by the keyboard so you can't see any typos, meaning I'm getting pissed since I'm in the sun sweating can't see my screen, and even when I can I'm unable to see what I'm typing anyway. And, after getting my key from the lockbox, I see the dolly and blankets I paid for aren't in the truck I have the key for. So I see that another truck has the dolly and blankets. I was sent to a location that is closed on Sunday so of course there is no one there. So I try to call one of the toll free numbers posted on the sign and one on the website, and hearing the automated response say I have a 20 minute wait to get someone I decided to try the chat with support function. Typed out my situation and got an automated reply that I'd get a response in one minute. Waited. Waited 2 or 3 minutes. After that I start asking in the chat if anyone is even monitoring the chat, no answer. Kept on with it, since at this point I've been sitting in the sun dealing with this for close to two hours. Finally close chat, call the number and select the option to get a call back. Am told it's 15 minutes to get a call back, so I take the dolly and blankets and go. After about 90 minutes when I'm heavy into loading the truck I get a call back. For some reason after getting the callback I'm actually put on hold to wait for the customer service rep for probably 2 to 3 minutes. Talk to rep, explain that I took a dolly and blankets that weren't in my truck and he said he'd send a note to the location to make sure they knew about it. Also asked to make sure I wouldn't be charged extra and he told me that I would not. Fast forward to when I return the truck while the location is open. I don't give this guy a hard time since none of this is his fault. However I do mention all of the issues to him and he thought the dolly and blankets had been stolen....so he never got the message that I made a special effort to make sure he got. He was nice enough to have counted the blankets and noted I hadn't gotten the quantity I paid for and reduced my bill a few dollars to compensate. Long rant. Moral. If you want to go virtual that's fine. You want to increase efficiency, that's awesome. But at least understand what your customer has to go through and pay for. I have used uhaul in the past for all my moves, but this entire situation leads me to make sure I research every single option available that is NOT uhaul the next time I need a truck rental. I will gladly share this ridiculously preventable experience with everyone I even think might need a truck, simply to save them the hassle of dealing with what this company has become. Understand this too - I've left probably one bad review in my life before now. And I sit here typing on my phone for probably 20 minutes on this Moby Dick length diatribe when I have way better things to do. Can't imagine how someone thought that cutting out all people from the process and replacing it with a horrible internet process is smart. Good luck with that.

ERIN R.The only thing that I was most disappointed was that the appliance dolly that I rented was missing one on the metal loops to strap down the appliances. And I made extra for that dolly. Also I was charged an after hour drop off when the location closes at 12 on Saturdays

Linda D.Location was fine and staff friendly but they need to check condition was what prior driver said. We were told truck had 1/4 tank. Warning light immediately came on saying only 2 miles to empty. Luckily gas station was a mile away.
Pam S.The equipment was very dirty. Something has been spilled in the cab as the floor and dashboard was sticky, the seats were black with dirt. I cleaned the cab for over a hour. Something had been broken and left in the cargo area.

JAMES C.Well I guess I'm in the middle on if I would recommend yo a family or friend . The first lady was nice , the truck was dirty inside and out. There was a water bottle , a cigarette pack, and socks inside the u haul truck . It was at a quarter tank when I got it and I returned it on a half tank I didn't get anything like reimbursement. I used the truck for maybe an hour just to purchase something and take it home , no kinda of reimbursement. The lady who was working when I returned asked for the keys and took my paperwork from me and threw it away I was like my receipt? She was like oh and gave it to me from the booklet she threw away and that was it . She didn't even inspect the u haul, which seems like they don't given how dirty it was when I got it . Overall not a satisfied customer
FAITH M.As a first time u-haul renter the process one must go through to return should be explained to the customer. For example you need to be at the location that you rented it from to return the truck on line. If closing early, let the customer know ,because there is a $20 fee written in fine print on contract. There are too many hidden fees. The should highlight these.
SHERRY D.It is obvious UHaul is a secondary businessvat thus location. Few moving supplies visable. Young counter staff did not offer to help old man with hookup of trailer. Could not do it, so had to go demand help. Someone came from the back and hooked it up. Equipment 12' trailer: needs lift on tongue.

Klaus H.Easy drop off location for me because I picked it. They did try to get me to drop it off at a different location that would be easier on them. I unlike uhaul apparently actually stick to my word and if I choose to drop a truck off at a certain location that's where it will go. I don't change plans and mess up someone's whole experience just because. The sad thing is I know this will mean nothing and no one will care. Y'all keep letting uhaul screw anyone they want over but I am wiping my hands of them and saying good by for the rest of my life.
