They were late opening up gave us a truck without cruise control and we traveled almost 900 miles it was hard keeping it on the road it pulled to the right worse uhaul we have ever had maybe they should keep it for local hauling only nothing to this location but it would be nice to deliver closer to your location without being charge. you call in and talk with customer service and they are NOT very understanding. The independent contractors they will keep your destination empty so that you can call uhaul and tell them where you will deliver but CS will never change unless you pay extra. It would help uhaul on the miles and the frustration of driving extra miles to deliver @ a location that is listed only with uhaulLisa M.
Corporate needs to give this place some moving blankets, they are out. In addition one of the trucks leaks like a sieve. But they folks working there tried to work with me. It's not their fault, I blame corporate.Chris H.

The truck I was assigned was parked very close to a huge cement under block. I was told I could pull straight out and leave. When I attempt to pull away the side of the truck got caught on the cinder block. I told them immediate what had happened and she said that â€œit happens all the time, good thing you got the insuranceâ€. If this is something that happens all the time. Maybe don't park the truck so close to the cinder block. Other than that they were great.Annabel W.

Seat belt for passenger was missing, so we had to take a second car (130 miles). When we returned, I was told, "oh yeah, I think we knew about that". Next, when I got the vehicle, it only had 1/8th of a tank. Should be full in my opinion. But, then was told if I bring it back with a 1/4 tank, would only get $12 credit. I returned it and the gauge was touching the white line but not exactly on it, so was only given $7.50. Really?Justin M.

Uhaul vehicle was missing a panel underneath the steering wheel so heat from the engine poured into the cab and burned my legs. A/C kept turning off so that did not help. Also, starting mileage for the vehicle was 300 miles off and I was told it would be corrected. I was charged almost 300 dollars for miles I did not use because the miles on the truck was higher than was stated.Khoa N.

Charges were $100 more for my 200 mile trip than quotedâ€¦. Wish clerk would have taken more time at reservation time explaining all of them. Reservation was not done thru Applegate but another Gladstone locationRichard S.
Nicole is a poor-quality employee. My husband and I felt rushed by her while going over the paperwork and she left the property before we fully inspected the truck. Her customer service is less than par in a lot of ways. I would not recommend her or this location to anyone. She also made no apologies for their lack of dollys. I had reserved several dollys and she bluntly stated they were not available and that there was no guarantee that I would get them through my request online. She told me I would need to call other locations and pick one up elsewhere. Nicole was not helpful and was rude with her responses. My husband and I were both flabbergasted by her lack of decency toward us and her unhelpful manner.Brandy G.

I was delayed a day picking up the trailer because one of the tires was bad just to pick up the trailer a day later and the tire explode on me 1,300 miles from home.Clifford L.
Lack of knowledge on my charges and they want me to pay more for miles I didn't receive. To turn it in and find out I am being charged for 750 miles when I barely did 300 so where are my other miles? At that point I should of kept the U-Haul and returned after 750 miles had been driven. Thank you for not informing your customers of these extensive charges.Evany M.

Information as to hours of the location was confusing. The online site said I could pick up at 730 am. Brandon, from the location said that someone was there at 8 am. I planned my pick up for 815. When arriving that morning, the hours were posted as 9 am for opening. The person there was argumentative and defensive which made me frustrated. Poor customer service.John T.

While the review of the returned truck was handled quickly and efficiently, I had the following two problems. The St. Louis location told me (in writing), that any unused U Hall boxes could be returned for full refund in KC - this was rejected by KC. Also per STL, reusable boxes could be dropped off at U Hall in KC to be used by others at no charge. This was also rejected by KC. Both were declined - one in person and one over the phone - by what seemed like college students to me. On an overall basis, U Hall did a very good job but these minor problems which occurred at the very end of the experience downgraded what had been an A+ experience. Bill HaberbergerWilliam H.
Location was convenient but the online checkin didn't work and I had to wait 30 minutes on the phone for customer service. The chat function never responded. Finally got in using Chrome browser bu no where in the instructions did it indicate that Safari would not work.Kelley S.

I returned the truck and transport separately to this location. All of the staff went above and beyond to help make the return as easy as possible. She told me, and I quote her; â€œyou have enough to worry about with moving, this should be the easy part returning your rental.â€ All of the staff were likeminded.Brandon H.

The pick up was great. When we dropped off however it was much worse. The trailer jack wasn't working (it worked fine when we picked it up), so I had the kid who was working there come out and he was no help at all. My friend and I had to lift the trailer off the hitch while he watched. I was also led to believe that if I dropped the trailer off later than expected I wouldn't be charged extra as there were many other trailers available. I ended up keeping it overnight as I got back at 3:15am and was charged over double what I was expecting.Jacob C.
