make sure the cargo area is swept clean, and there is at least one-half tank of gas in the truck. Don't lie to your customers! I was told a 10' truck (which I reserved) was available and waiting for me at the pick-up time. When I got to the location, nothing was said, but I was given a 15' truck. Equipment was fine and all, but the contents I was moving required me to do extra work to secure it inside the cargo space. There was 5 ft 3 inches of free and clear space between the contents and the roll-up door. Even though I was charged the same rate as the 10' truck, I am positive the gas mileage on the larger vehicle was nowhere near as efficient as the 10'.
