Make sure that the truck the are renting has been looked over as far as Matenance. The transmission was toast and it caused a large amount of time, extra work and delays.DAVIDA S.
When initially rented I explained I would be extending according to business and they explained that was fine. This last time they rented the van out a day prior to my return or extension time I had no communication to this until exactly 1 hr before leaving me in a predicament. Instead of proper communication had I been in formed I could have made prior arrangements and found another van at another location the day they made the reservation or even the morning of as the van wasn't due until 4:30pm. When I informed them I wouldn't be able to make it by 4:30 cause I had intended on extending because I would have to gas to full clean out and drive from Pensacola we're I was in the middle of a catering event! I did let them know the lack of communication was very unprofessional and that it put me in a bind.The lady Ashley(Who said she was the manager at the moment when I asked to speak to one) told me they would call the next customer and explain and try to offer them a truck or ect... I ask her to keep me updated. I then get a call from Brandon who informed me with a very upset tone that he was the manager and I told his employee that they were unprofessional. Yes I did explain the situation was very unprofessional. He was extremely rude.... I called the regional office they explained the situation but if I was in a situation I couldn't return at that time I'd be charges another daily rate as well as a convenience fee. I said okay. When I called the tactical store back and informed Brandon that I was unable to make it by 4:30 and regional had informed me of the fees he proceeded to threaten me saying that is fine but it will be a stolen vehicle because I'm out of contract although regional literally just told me I'd have a late fee and convenience fee! Yes service at the tactical was not good at allljaheim J.
It me me over an hour to get my trailer. There were two other u-haul customers waiting in line ahead of me. We all sat outside waiting for our trailers to get hooked up for at least 30min. We had to go into the store, ANS Tactical, twice to see if they were going to come out and get us hooked up.David C.

I was set to drop off a location 35 miles from home. I call 8 times and no one home. So I dropped off 3 miles from home. So much for the $100.00 saving!!!!!!james C.
They did NOT do a walk around with me to inspect for damage Their paperwork showed the gas tank was 7/8 full when in reality it was closer to 5/8. The decal on the driver's door said "Drives like a van, Hauls like a truck" when in reality it drove like a truck, but rode like a stage coach. Worst experience I have ever had trying to rent. This is mainly due to your online requirements to validate the condition of the vehicle before I left rental facility. First, the on-line service was not working on my phone (Android software), I spent over 90 minutes trying to load one photo, and I had seven. Facility worker refused to come out and provide a hard copy for me to validate problems with truck, said it was U-haul policy to do everything on-line. 2nd, I was on hold with U-haul customer service for over 20 minutes at facility trying to resolve issue before I left. Lastly, I ended up leaving without the ability to document problems with truck.Robert B.

We got chargers for an extra day! Our contract stated that we were to turn in the truck on the 19th by 4pm. We turned it in by 3:15. We were charged through the following Monday. We will be calling to get our money back. My wife took video of me dropping the keys in the drop box! This has been a horrible experience.Shawn B.

The U-haul website for starters needs the most improvement. I had to do a mobile check in for my reservation. The website crashed on almost every attempt, wasn't able to upload pictures of my drivers license. Then I made my reservation nearly 2 weeks in advance to ensure all the equipment was available. When I arrived I found out that the appliance dolly I needed wasn't available. So I had to go to Lowe's and buy a $200 appliance dolly. When someone makes a reservation that far in advance, one would expect that all the reserved equipment would be there and ready. Then I get a request for a review and the link takes several attempts to load..... Do better in general... This isn't Waffle HouseMatthew L.

The check out procedure was excruciating. After uploading images of my driving license at home, I was required to go through the procedure multiple times at the store. My phone couldn't capture an acceptable image of one side of the license or the other. I was AT the store. Provide your dealers with the tools to capture the image(s) or give them the option to look at the license and proceed. The sign at the store gives the purpose of capturing the images as a means of insuring that the license was, in fact, presented as part of the transaction. I vowed never to come back to this dealer the last time I rented a piece of UHaul equipment. I should follow my own advice.Dan F.

From the start, where a picture of ID was needed, I had issues with the app. The clerk had to use his phone for this. Upon returning the equipment, same problem.. Picture part of app just wouldn't work.Bobby D.

Dobt tell a customer you have requested truck available abd then call the day before and say another customer has the truck and extended the rental on it. You did a bait and switch and that is despicable.YVETTE L.
Counter service was decent but truck was turned in by prior customer with cab full of sand and tire pressures that were low and uneven which made truck pull to the right severely. This made driving tiring and dangerous. When we were able to check tire pressure we took care of the problem but have learned to not assume the tires have been checked.Lisha M.

Truck smelt like nasty dog. It was putrid. Good thing I wasn't allergic. Also, the main screen to the truck didn't work. Couldn't change the radio station or anything. And it's a brand new truck. Makes me think twice about ever renting a truck from uhaul again.Kyle P.

Everything was fine until the return. The cellphone service was horrible. We usually have a great service in the city (Verizon) but we couldn't get a strong enough signal for the website to work. After waiting we decided to go ahead and take photos to upload at home only to find out you had to be at the location to upload onto the website. It was beyond frustrating. There has to be a better way for after hour check in or make the website more user friendly for photos so it doesn't have to load so much info.Cody A.

After renting the U-Haul equipment, I was told I needed to park my car around back because the parking spots in the front of the building were not for U-Haul customers. The area behind the building is not Paved and there were no signs telling exactly where to park. I could not park directly behind the building because they were tracks were cars and trucks have been going through that were pretty deep and my Mitsubishi mirage could've easily gotten stuck. So instead I parked beside the building. About 30 minutes after leaving I got a call from the company saying my car was parked in the wrong spot and I needed to come move it. At the time I Was in Walmart at the time, waiting on it to quit raining so I could buy a gas grill and then go to Lowes to get a standing toolbox. The Uhaul rep was insistent that I come move my car so I told him I would be back shortly. I wound up getting soaked taking my grill to the truck and didn't get the toolbox at all. I will continue to use uhaul equipment, but not from that spot.JOSEPH P.

ANS normally great. I'm a frequent U-Haul customer with many thousands of dollars rental. The 24/7 pickup experience was a disaster. Set me back 2 hours of my schedule going round and round with U-Haul cust support attempting to get my key. Ridiculous process is like getting a security clearance, and all that after me being a frequent customer. ANS said it would be piece of cake. Instead it was piece of dung. I even brought back fuel level we'll over what was in tank at startup, but U-Haul and ANS still charged me full price - no discount for my trouble. Petty.burl K.

Staff seemed VERY unfamiliar with Uhaul policies/procedures during check-in. I made staff aware I would be having my personal vehicle dropped off the evening before return. However, upon my retun of the uhaul, I found my personal vehicle had been towed! Staff then claimed they didn't know whose car it was. Hownis it the customers's fault that staff doesn't have a system for making note of when a personal vehicle may be parked in preparation for a drop off?!?!?!? Cost me $160 to get my vehicle back.Ashley M.
Parking is horrible. I was renting a truck for a few hours. I was required to park my car on a edge of the road behind the location. Walking from my car to the rental office, I felt as if I was going to be attacked by a neighbor's dog; it turned out that the dog was chained, but I had no way of knowing that at the time. The staff weren't very friendly. This location didn't support TruckShare 24/7.Dan F.
