Had to wait on the U-Haul lady to get off lunch when we had a schedule pick up time. She took so long we decided to leave for lunch so then she had to move the time for us. Equipment wasn't cleaned. Service area parking lot is horrible getting in and out of. Will not use these people or their services again. Really wish we could have a refund of some sort due to the inconvenience !!!!Elijah J.

Just a little shady feeling when I checked in. We were running late because of a delayed flight, and I called ahead of time and they said it was fine. When I arrived my app wouldn't let me check in and I had to talk to some dude over their store phone and trust that he wasn't a scammer while he took my card information. Nice people inside, it was just a little off putting that they didn't know how to handle what was happening with my reservation.Jourden E.

Provided the wrong key for the truck, had to return to location bc they forgot to provide the dolly rented and paid. When I did the reservation I opted out of the CDW fee, they still charged me for that, had to call the 1-800 # and wait over 40 min to talk to someone. Poor customer service, Running gas station and U-haul all together, kept attending everyone while trying to get my rental ready.Cassio S.

Was charged due 7 gals of fuel and only drove 19 miles, was charged for insurance I didn't ask for and the drivers mirror was broken so I kept having to roll the window down and adjust it every few miles so I could see. Will NOT be recommending UHAUL to ANYONE in the future and am telling everyone I can how you overcharge people.jeremiah M.

Make sure someone actually knows how to hook a vehicle on a trailer and is prepared to inspect it per Uhaul's policy. Inteceived instructions stating I had to make sure someone could inspect the vehicle being pulled prior to leaving and noone at this location initially knew how to hook it up or inspect. The back of the truck also wasn't cleaned out. There were 6 dirty moving covers left in itJarrett V.

Lack of customer service, not sure if it is because of language barrier but certainly didn't give me confidence. My reservation was moved to this location and when I called them to confirm, they said they didn't have my reservation. I explained that my reservation was moved to their location and they replied: "if you made the reservation, then it is ok". They didn't ask for my reservation number to confirm. I don't think the person understood what I was explaining. When we arrive to their location (a convenience store), the woman at the cashier had to call someone to assist me. She asked me again for information that I already provided when I checked in online. The truck was dirty.Zuzi Y.
I chose a drop off location in Basking Ridge, NJ and at some point my drop off location was changed to Bergenfield over an hour away. This is absolutely unacceptable. Called customer service and both of the people I spoke with were incredibly rude & called me a liar. The last one said I would be charged extra if I took it to the closer location but refused to give me a dollar amount. Additionally the van was never full and at many points wouldn't go over 40mph. It made a horrible noise if I tried to go any faster (I was on the interstate this is very dangerous). The van swayed aggressively like the tires needed to be realigned. The van told me the oil life was at 5% and that is pretty unacceptable I think to give to someone traveling almost 1,300 miles. I was also never offered any sort of toll pass option which I have previously been offered with local rentals. I went though 8 states. Avoiding tolls is pretty difficult with that much travel and trying to get to my destination in a reasonable amount of time & miles. There was someone's used face mask in the car which leads me to believe they didn't clean the car very thoroughly. Will not be renting from uhaul again.Megan B.
