Nothing to improve! I had started to pull up the self-return instructions when an employee came out and took care of it all in less than 2-3 minutes. Easy and smooth.

Andrea LThe Good, The Bad and the Ugly… This review is two parts. Part 1 - we give 4.5 stars…we rented a 26' truck for us to fill and move the bulk of our household ourselves. We boxed everything our self and moved all the lightweight furniture we could fit on the truck. The rental process using the app worked fine (although it would have been helpful to know all the information required prior to getting to the lot to take the truck as we had to run back home and back again). The drop off location worked well as did the instructions on the app. Part 2- less than 1 star!!! We hired Amplify moving located in King NC to move the heavy furniture we could not. Marlin (the owner) was pleasant, took down all our information, and visited our home to put eyes on the actual pieces they would be moving. After estimating "6 or so hours" to complete the job we signed a contract. After it was all said and done we were charged for 20+ hours, a 26' truck for 2 days, a pulled trailer for 2 days and 5 workers. What should have cost me on the low side $980 and on the high side $1200 ended up costing me $3500 (this is after I got her down for breaking molding off a dresser, scratching and dinging my kitchen table and chairs, putting dings and scratches on my new walls, and leaving a very heavy china cabinet in the garage because she didn't have the hired muscle to bring it up the steps into my house). Her moving team consisted of her, her mother, her brother, and two friends. Their inexperience became abundantly clear when they would discuss for 20 minutes how to move a piece of furniture before attempting it. It was this inexperience that added up the hours that it took to do this job. Marlins inexperience was evident in not knowing her teams abilities reflected in her completely underestimating the amount of time the job could take costing me more than triple the estimated amount. Would not recommend them for a full household move…they are not equipped!

MELISSA MI had to wait 3.5 hours for roadside service because they gave me a trailer with 2 separated tires and 1 was dry rotted. Also there wasn't a drop of brake fluid.
RUSTY BI was pulling a 6×12 enclosed trailer loaded from Havelock NC. My trans was getting to hot. So i stopped in King NC. I rented a box truck and a auto transporter. After unloading everything out of the box trailer. I hook up the trailer for my car. The lady walked back inside. I had to load my car myself. I thought my Pilot was smaller then the width of the trailer. I drove the car on and was on top of the outside rim of the trailer. I climbed out of my car i did'nt the fender folds down on the driver side. The lady did'nt say anything about the trailer. I had to climb back in and center the car. It was right on the edge both sides. I drove less then 36 miles to the VA line and shredded the passenger front tire on the trailer. I drove it the rest and called it in. I waited 2 hours on a tire replacement. Then i found out the rim was bent the trailer should of never left the yard. That is bad buissness practice folks.

RANDALL WWe reserved a 10-foot truck for a one-way move across the state. U-Haul called us 24 hours before the move to let us know we would have to take a 15-foot truck and pick up in a different city. About an hour and 10 minutes before pickup, when we were on the way to get the 15-foot truck, U-Haul texted us to tell us we were being moved back to the original pickup location, but did not text us that the truck would be 26 feet instead of 10, even though the reservation for the 15 foot truck in the second location was supposedly guaranteed (in writing in an e-mail). The attendant at Amplify told us that was what we got for booking at the last minute. (We booked six days prior to the move, and U-haul had time to move our pickup location twice during that time, but did not let us know either our phone call to them or by text that the truck would be 26 feet instead of 10 feet.) U-Haul had ample time to tell us if they simply could not meet our needs, but did not do so. The attendant at Amplify also refused to let us use her restroom and used crude language to us when we asked. We had to drive the almost empty 26-foot truck for four hours in heavy traffic on Interstate 40. Because the truck was almost empty, it bounced horribly. The truck's ABS light (anti-lock brake system) came on several times and we just had to keep driving it. We weren't sure how serious it was so we kept driving. If you must use U-Haul for a one-way move, rent from an actual U-Haul location, not one of the many poorly supervised businesses that have a few trucks for rent.

Kimberly CWhen I rented my vehicle this drop off location 2 miles from my destination did not show to select in Uhaul website/system. Uhaul, once again get your systems fixed, I can only assume this was to incur additional mileage charges for me. The owner of this location was super helpful and she made my drop off so easy and quick. It seems to me that Uhaul corporate does everything possible to make their staff and dealers lives miserable with poor systems that don't promote quality/value products and these people succeed despite corporates' lack of support.

Darwin WOkay, First. I will say the owner of the company was very supportive and easy to work with. * However, you definitely need to inspect the truck (including inside the back of the truck) inside and out to make sure it's cleaned and feasible for the move before use.* When entering the truck, I noticed it was not swept out In the cab. However, the manager offered to clean it out which was not as important so I denied the offer due to the fact I only rented the truck for the one night and needed to get the move done as soon as possible. When leaving, I noticed the engine rode pretty rough and needed a tuneup. When I got to my location, I open the roll up door and I realized the back of the truck was clean of debris but was not swept and the back was wet and dirty. So, you will need either a push-broom to clean out the back of the truck or you will need to rent moving mats ($1each) for mattresses or anything cloth to keep your stuff clean during the move. Now, the gas tank was full wnen I started. However, when I finished the move and got to the gas station to fill up the tank, I was unable to because the outside of the gas cap was cut off and the inside of the gas cap was attached to the gas tank and would not come out (even with a knife) so I could not get fuel. So we had no choice but to take the truck back without filling up the tank. I contacted the owner the next day and she mentioned that she knew that the cap was removed but forgot to tell us. This was kind of concerning because if it was a long distance move, I would have been stranded because I would have been unable to get fuel. However, the owner was supportive and did not charge me for not filling up the tank. With all that being said, if you live locally, I would recommend this location if you did not have to drive a long distance to move as the equipment might be a little bit questionable and not maintained but it got the job done.

ROB LI've rented two trucks from you guys in the last month or so. The first had cruise control, the last one did not. I have to say the first one was not only more economic fuel wise, but, made my drive way easier.
