The guy insisted that he would return my cargo van for us with HIS Cellphone without our permission. And then he put extra +4 miles on the odometer reader. This is not okay. this is clearly fraud. Also he didn't take any pictures of the cargo van during return process. Cargo van was returned with full tank of gas and without any damages but after we watched him trying to deceive us, now we are worry that he might try to charge us with wrong things again Note: Inside of vehicle was not clean and dirty. it was covered with dirtGina P.

There was no assistance or even making sure I had things hooked up correctly/safely. If I had not been experienced with Uhaul auto transporters it could have been frustrating and potentially dangerous. If there hadn't been a Uhaul van parked out front I would have never found it and when I did I could have hooked the trailer and driven off without anybody knowing. Sketch place!Stuart L.

Estimated over 3000 miles when I said it would be a local move of 300 miles tops. Not only did they overestimate the milage but then they charged me for their estimate instead of putting a hold like they should have. You aren't supposed to charge someone for goods they haven't even used yet. I can understand a deposit, but they charged me the entire amount of their extremely incorrect estimate. I haven't experienced this at other official uhaul stores, just this particular â€œneighborhood dealerâ€. Furthermore the equipment was damaged when I went to rent it and also filthy. The location is also in a bad neighborhood and difficult to find. Some shady dealers here who don't give refunds until days later if that.KAREN W.

very friendly and professional.i would rent again from here, the equipment was clean and served my purpose well.and the process was easy , everything done through the cell phone through a text message and links thereof , very smooth rent out process.I would recommend taking the $10 insurance for the cargo van , its a big equipment and things could and will happen , someone scratching the door etc... not your fault but you are liable , it helped me and the $10 is totally worth it.Ravindran R.

The location took a long time to get our truck out. And when it came to getting our last receipt it took over 4 hours so send the email saying to was turned in. We will use U-Haul again but not from this location again.Jose M.
Person working the counter continuously was on the phone with other customers. I ne'er knew if he was talking to me or the person on the phone. It took him 20 minutes to do my transaction I'll never use this place again.Robert H.
I had a horrible experience that day at your Buena Park location. I was told by the associate that they close at 6:30pm and if I can get there by 6:30pm he can provide assistance with my rental. I called every minute starting at 6:17pm til I arrived at 6:31pm and there was no answer. As I arrived at 6:31pm he said they are closed and couldn't help, even though I was there at the gate and speaking to him face to face and told him that I was the gentleman who called 20 minutes ago saying I was on my way. I would like to make a formal complaint and if this is read by someone that will address this complaint, I would like to be contacted at (562)301-6726. instructions are very unclear as to where keys are located. Since there is rarely ever anybody staffing the location, I had to call tech support multiple times so they could relay to me information that should have been provided in the reservation. There was a lot of trash and a few homeless/panhandlers out front of this location. Very unprofessional and will not rent from this location again. Seriously unsure whether I'll be renting from uhaul ever again.Daniel R.

As I was entering the Uhaul van I just rented, I opened the back hatch to find a homeless person set camp inside. From the looks of it for weeks, and seems like the owner knew about it all along. Had to clean the inside of it before I was able to move because of the smellASHOT N.
I would give 0 stars if that was possible. Literally the worst U-haul contractor and person in customer service I have ever dealt with. Avoid this place!! I scheduled a truck for pick up at 9am. We get here, wait until 9:15 and it's still not open. So we call the number and the guy who works here says he's going to be late and that he JUST left his house. Then, he says we can use the U-haul app to pick up the truck. If i wanted to use the app for pick up, I would have done that. I wouldn't have selected to pick up at the counter and come during business hours to pick it up. The whole reason why I selected to do counter pick up was so I could get help if I needed it. Also, the app doesn't let you select mobile pick up if you selected counter pick up when scheduling your truck. However, this guy is adamant that we should be able to pick up through the mobile app. Turns out I should've just done app pick up because this guy is more useless than an app. He finally shows up at 9:40 and doesn't even apologize to the 5 people who had been waiting since 9am to pick up their truck rentals. No sorry I ran late or sorry you had to wait. Nothing. Then, we finally get tot he counter and give him all of our information and he says the system isn't working when he tries to check us out. But it works for the other person who was in line behind me. Then he says â€œmaybe it's this issue or thatâ€. And he can't even give a straight answer as to why it's not working. He eventually says it's not working because my cousin's (who was the primary driver) license wouldn't go through and that he asked for a different license. Never once did he ask us for a different license. When we told him we'd been using my cousin's license the entire time, he said he didn't know we were using the same one because we all LOOKED THE SAME. At that point, I was extremely angry. Me and my two cousins who were with me don't looking anything alike. Sure, all 3 of us are Indian but you really can't tell us apart after we've been talking to you for over an hour?! Also, my roommate who was with us is Chinese! He seriously thought we all looked the same and was making up excuses for why he couldn't do his job? Then, we call customer service and they tell us the reason it's not working is because we're trying to check out an entire HOUR AFTER OUR CHECK OUT TIME. She told us it won't go through because once you pass your check out time by an hour, the system won't process it and you'll have to pick a new pick up time. It was 10:30 at this point so she changed our reservation pick up time to 10:30. So we go back inside. At this point, we're all very frustrated. He tells us if we're going to be rude to him, he doesn't have to rent to us. And I'm thinking we're being rude to you? After you: 1. Came in so late we missed our check out time. Didn't apologize or express ant remorse for making us wait outside 2. You helped other people first when they came in after us 3. You couldn'tMeha M.
When I arrived I opened the cargo hold of the truck to find two homeless people climbing out with their personal items in hand. The trucks being open and not locked in the back is a big problem. It was unsettling to have to kick people out of the truck I rented.George P.

The gas was at 1/4 of at tank and I returned it the same. I did everything during the app and it charged me a fuel charge fee. First of all the truck should have been full.Luis A.

The person processing the paperwork was amiable and helpful. The only concern was that his desk and surrounding areas looked very disorganized and messy, so it gave me the impression that my information might not be secured. The location is not great either, I did not feel safe leaving my car in their parking lot. Although, everything was fine when I returned for my car. Once again, the customer service was okay, so I am not complaining about the person's service. Hope this helps.Cristina R.
