Really a very nice location and experience. It would have been nice if the trailer had been swept clean but the equipment was in good shape, the staff was very nice and took care of hitching the trailer to our vehicle without us asking. Access to the location, especially when returning the equipment can be challenging due to its location on a busy road. A very nice experience overall.Jeanbapti G.

My pick up location was supposed to be in Newton New Jersey. 1 hour before pick up it was changed to Haskell NJ 40 mins away. Very inconvenient! At end of day wanted to drop off trailer close by but was told no. Customer service transferred me 5 times and when I finally reached Michelle, she was rude nasty! Drop off was fine, I was called twice about returning. I paid for a extra day, I was contacted by a woman who was very rude and gave me an attitude when I tried to explain I was charged twice. The woman had a very poor attitude for a paying customer and should be retrained for customer relations.ROBERT M.
So there is no 24/7 key-box the owner of this site has a box with his own master lock on it on side of building hidden !! i was just lucky i was picking up during a working day or i would have no way to get the key to my van and upon return i had no way to put key in lucky i was able to leave a message and put key into a mail slotCraig C.

This rental could easily prevent me from ever using uhaul ever. The truck was not a uhaul vehicle. I was lied to about the price. The truck was severely UNSAFE. I will be calling uhaul to complain and protest. AWFUL, TERRIBLE experience.Tom V.

The truck worked well but the cabin smelled like someone smoked a carton of cigarettes with the windows up. I had the windows cracked open the whole time driving because I thought I was going to vomit. This is coming from an ex-smoker who smoked in his car and I never smelled a car like that before.Steven C.

Apparently your previously arranged location pick off and drop off sites are not set in stone. I had to go out of my way to pick up and drop off, causing extra miles that I was charged for. I would not recommend using again.Donna C.

You need to put a "foot " on the trailer. I have a bad back and could not heave the trailer off the hitch. A crank foot like most othr trailers would have made the job easier and safer.Michael R.

I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone the company to which I dropped the truck off that I was told to a day early was closed I dropped the key in the Dropbox on Monday I got a call from U-Haul themselves telling me that the truck was unaccounted for when it was sitting in that Lot 2 days after the truck was dropped off that company called me and told me that they were going to charge my account because there was not enough gas in the vehicle when I know that there was because I stopped at the gas station before I dropped it off I told him you will not charge me again to have a supervisor contact me nobody called me back in 2 and 1/2 Weeks Later I was charged again when I called your company in order to file a complaint I was rudely hung up on nobody called me back to follow up nobody has and I'm going on another week I will not recommend U-Haul for anybodyStarlin K.
When making a reservation at one site to pick up the truck then finding out last minute you have to go to another location to pick it up because there isn't a truck available for you. The first location quoted a price of 89 cents a mile then after having to drive farther for the truck they told us it would be 1.19 a mile. Was very satisfied with the truck but not how they book the reservations. It's like they overbook and hope someone has a truck available!!laurie M.

I didn't appreciate that the location was changed from where I had scheduled my pick up. I was sent an E mail, at 7:32 PM the night before telling me there was a change to the pick up location. I was not given the name of the vendor and had trouble finding the vendor. the street was very busy and the addresses were not very visible.Kevin T.

I was not made aware that there were weekend rates. Pricing was not clearly noted. I would have made arrangements to use the vehicle during the week to save money. Instead I ended up spending over $300.00. Very frustrating considering this is the holiday season where every penny counts.Brian T.

I'll be perfectly frank, I was pissed at Uhaul for making me drive 30miles to pick up the trailer to drive 30miles back to my house to loaded it up. I burned a quarter tank of gas, and it caused me hours additional travel time because I didn't get to leave before the traffic going to Boston. I was, and I guess I still am pissed about it, but what choice did I have?? I was told that it would be available in my area... Dover/Mine Hill, NJ - 30miles away is NOT in my area!! I think that UHaul should refund me the cost of a 1/4 tank of gas and may me whole for my time. That would be the right thing to do. And this bull-crap about preferred location... let's be a little more transparent when the reservation is made. OK? The staff at the Haskell location was helpful.Glenn C.

I wanted to let you know my entire experience. I was told many things and all were false. I called to confirm my truck, not knowing my location could change, and had a women talk to me over the phone only to yell at me for not knowing this policy and eventually hang up on me. So I called back and had a lovely woman talk with me. She helped me out with the location and price per mile. She was very kind and told me that because the place was closed on Sunday that I needed to pick it up Saturday. I explained my situation and she said it would be okay to pick up the truck at 9:30 am Saturday and I could keep it until 5-6 pm Sunday for only a one day charge. Simply because the location change. After having this conversation I went to pick up the truck only to be charged 2 days for the truck anyway... I have never dealt with a company that has lied or not been on the same page with one another before in my life. I would never recommend this company to anyone EVER. I feel the need to explain this simple because my quote (118) and my cost almost (200) are so far apart it is sickening. I was also told I would get 50 free miles but that didn't apply as well. Mileage is very expensive. A rent a car and van has unlimited miles. For a van or pickup truck your policy needs to change and charge like $50 instead of $19.95 or at least make a 2nd option. Option #1 keep it as is and Option #2 if it's far away like mine 80 miles round trip make it more economical for competition purposes at $50 unlimited miles as an example Rick Scire Ringwood,NJRick S.
My boyfriend n I dealt with John who was very pleasant n accommodating to us n our needs n was super friendly n helpful..truck wasn't so bad either...lol but he made the transaction effortless n really was helpful any which way he could...I'd definitely recommend him n ur trucks!Cristine P.

The place i got the trailer from was GREAT and the guy was very nice . But uhaul kept calling me saying I didn't return the trailer to only find out they never updated their information. I would go back to this dealership , but not rent a uhaulMONICA C.

Ameri-car & Truck Sales, the location where I turned my rental in, could not have been nicer and more helpful in correcting the poor service that I had from the renting agency. They were, at great effort on their part, able to correct both a major mileage error that emanated from the original renting site. They were also able to note the fuel discrepency by the same agency when shown the fuel bill I incurred because a tank that was reported as 5/8ths full was, in fact, virtually empty. They were able to use the mileage traveled and the truck's fuel mileage average to clearly prove the indicated mileage on the contract was wrong. As I said, these two gentlemen went way above and beyond to help me and were able to correct what was clearly a difficult set of problems. I would NOT hesitate to do business with or refer this facility, Amer-icar & Truck Sales (A U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer) to anyone. I hope that U-Haul properly recognizes BOTH Bob and Gregg for their superb customer services. If it weren't for them I would NEVER do business with U-Haul again.EDWARD V.
