I locked the key in the truck as I have done with other U-Haul dealers. I looked for a key drop and didn't see one . The owner was on the phone and also helping me . I don't remember him telling me about the key . I got a very angry email from him . I told him I assumed they would have a second key . He then sent me another email telling me how ridiculous that was and some more ridiculing . . Then I got my bill 133 .00 for 2 day rental of the pick up truck very little miles and a full tank I also bought insurance I asked him to break it down for me . Another hostel email telling me he charged 30 dollar cleaning fee for the key . I think this is wrong and his attitude was unnecessary. Will never use him again and will tell my friends about this experience . I am a 70 year old woman and did not have a good experience as I have always using U-Haul. I have used them many times over the years.Lesley B.

The only problem was going to two seperate locations to pick up truck, then to pick up car dolly but it was understandable..You went above to find us what we needed tho even if alittle inconvenient..we appreciate your VERY friendly people at both locations!!Dianna L.

I reserved at 15' truck when I got there I was told they did not have it because it was not returned on time. I asked if she could see if another location had them she called and they told her no and they spent the next twenty minutes talking about the weather and such. After that I was handed the keys and told it was one of the two trucks outside. After taking the entirely too big truck and returning it I see that I was billed extra because it was a bigger truck. I feel they should have honored the rate for the smaller truck being it was not my fault and I assure you I did not want to drive such a big truckNeyshia H.

Uhaul can stop price gouging customers just because they can.....I had a price quote from uhaul for $700 for a small trailer and then 3 days later when I was gonna pick it up they changed the price to $1500 because it was in high demand....I think that's bullshit and I will never use uhaul again.......the way covid is affecting everyone and uhaul just takes advantage of it and abuses it.....fuck uhaul!!Adam R.
I swept out the back and made sure the front had no garbage in it and they still charged me $10 for cleaning. That's bullshit. Don't use this location the lady is a ripoff and she's really a not a nice person.Robert R.

I was rented a 12x6' utility trailer for a 350 mile riund trip. And the trip back aone of the tites shredded diwn to the tim. I waited almost 3 hrs on the side of I-5 with my 12 year old , in a remote location,in a thunderstorm for Uhaul to send someone with another tire. There was no restroom or food or water to be had anywhere near us. Then I found that my battery had gone dead due to having my flashers on on during the wait. I called AAA but they never came due to being unable to pin down my location. A local fellow did stop and gave my battery a jump, and I was lucky he was a good person, but it was already dark and I was 4 hours late leaving that lication and had to let my uploading help know I would not be showing up on time . I didn't get home until 1:30 a.m. and had to unload the trailer the next day by my self The technition told me the tires on that trailer were 11 years old! That is not only shoddy maintenence, it could have resulted in our being injured or killed! I gave request a full refund of my rental fee, but have heard NOTHING from the company. Orofut is no excuse to firego proper maintenance and safety. Playing Rymussian Roulet with the lives of your customers that trust that you are providing well maintained equipnebt as rentals is inexcusable.Pamela H.

I was charged $20 for an "after hours" drop off, why does it cost $20 to leave a key in a box? I had to hook up and unhook the trailer by myself. I had an appointment at noon but was called and told I had to be there either BEFORE noon or AFTER 3:30. Why allow me to reserve it at NOON then?RONALD RAY T.

To rent a 26' from Redding CA to Casper WY was $6,400....I drove 3-1/2 hrs oneway to Grants Pass OR from Redding CA to pick up a 26' truck for $1,700....what's wrong with problemRANDY D.
The woman at the front office could not have been any less friendly. At pick up or drop off. She seemed irritated with everyone, she was short in her reply's and when I asked about one thing on the receipt she said she couldn't read it without her glasses and walked away. At pick up I was 5 min early, for a 9 am pick. It was raining. I had not been here before. So I rang the call box a few times because I couldn't get in through the gate. She came out and said she had to get set up first, that she didn't open til 9. The truck floorboards were muddy, which is fine because it rains here but the steering wheel was filthy with grime and the dash was dusty like it hadn't been wiped down in forever. If uhaul doesn't allow people in her little office because of covid, then perhaps they could wipe the cab down between rentals because of covid. Also I was charged a $14 safe move fee which I'll be calling about because I declined all coverage because my insurance covers me.DONNA M.

The vehicle was pretty clean (Not filthy!) i understand that at the pickup location they had to scramble to get the vehicle and trailer from another location, due to the one that was supposed to be there was delay by the previous renter. All in all a great experience!Donald B.

Amongst that your customer service is non existent between phone and email! I will make sure everyone knows to pick a different location! The initial site on crater lake hwy medford overcharged me greatly for a hitchLance L.
I required a cargo van for a Sunday moving event. Made my reservation over the phone with a live customer service rep on noon Saturday understanding that the business hours are closed on Sundays. Was given details as to the after hours pick up and drop off. Seemed simple. Fast forward to picking up my uhaul vehicle Saturday night with the plan to return Sunday p.m. Got to the location 6 p.m. and made sure to have my cellphone locator turned on. Followed all the steps to gain access to the key box. Website kept bringing me back to the home page. Said I had no reservations even though I had my confirmation # in the system! Called the traffic rep. He was condescending at best. Seemed like he was thinking that I didn't know how to navigate the website. It is now dark, raining and cold. The location was far removed from town and I was beginning to feel uneasy about this parking lot. Pitch dark here with just one flickering light over the lock box made the whole scene quite disturbing. It's now 7 p.m. and the customer service rep was beginning to sound very frustrated ( as was I) there was no "pick up my truck" anywhere on the website. Service rep admitted he'd never done this after hours pick up so after an hour he said he was going to transfer me to someone else. It's now 7p.m. I'm ready to give up out of frustration. My husband is texting wondering what's going on. I'm in tears feeling like somehow I am screwing this "simple process" up. I'm still waiting to be transferred to a different customer service rep. Who never comes on line. I've been disconnected! I call the traffic number again and no one answers because they close at 7. Feeling like the rep who couldn't help me over the hour we were on line together wanted to go home and just disconnected. Must have had plans for his Saturday night....I gave up and drove back home without my uhaul van. My husband then called your help line and spent yet another HOUR on hold waiting for assistance. Finally got a very helpful woman on line who found the problem. Had nothing to do with me or my lack of understanding the process. Someone from Uhaul had not entered something for the original reservation. We waited until the next morning to go back and everything worked as it should have. This experience was very time consuming and I was made to feel like an idiot when it clearly was not any fault of my own. Will not recommend sending customers out after hours until your service reps understand the process themselves!!!! Ugh.Heidi F.
The staff was kind and friendly, and I felt like I was listened to. That being said, the instructions for retrieving the u-haul were vague at best. The rental was scheduled for 7am, and I didn't get to retrieve it until someone was on site at 9am. The cab and storage area of the U-Haul stank of marijuana, and it subsequently made our furniture and belongings stink as well. Two stars, filthy rental, vague instructions, friendly service.Logan M.
