When I picked up the truck, the gentleman told me that he would put the dolly in the truck. I waited inside and we did everything and then we went out and when I went to open up the back, there was no dolly and they are closed for the weekend then when I call Lynn to complain about it the lady said she's gonna send me to customer service when I get a hold of customer service. They're telling me that the $10 for the appliance dolly was taken off yet the bill that I got had the appliance amount $10 still on the bill so I wasn't happy with any of you folks be a customer service be at the eye was not happy with any of you. It's like three people I continue with not one person follow through on any other crap so when you get the $10 off of the bill then I'll be sending it to you I'll be calling every day.connie C.

The trucks were parked so close together I had to get in from the passenger side. The doors were not locked a person could have been sitting in the truck before I got there. The air conditioning varely worked and the check engine light was on the truck. Also, if you are going to have a 25/7 location and try to verify employment make sure you have customers that have a job that can be verified on the weekends!!! More of my issues were with uhaul practices than the location its self!!! I was VERY DISSATISFIED! I never wanted to rent from this location to start and I made several calls prior to my appointment. I had to use more miles than if I had gotten the truck from the location that was open and wasted too much time.Alicia L.

The pick up experience was a little frustrating. I had to submit photos of me/my DL AGAIN. I had to wait for them to call my friend to verify me. The truck was parked so close to the other trucks that it was a struggle to get in. The check engine light was on the entire time. Drop off was confusing. The orange box was for key drop off, but the instructions were to put the key back in the box I got it from originally.sandra K.

We did struggle with the self check out. There were a lot of questions that would have been easier to answer before we were in the parking lot. It took us longer than 15 minutes to check in and get the keys.Thomas R.
AM Custom Workz should not being doing any kind of business. The owner wasted hours of our time. 1) We had an appointment to pick up the auto trailer at 4pm. There was a sign that said "Be Right Back, Out to Lunch." The owner did not pick up our calls. We waited for 15 minutes and then called U-Haul main number who contacted the owner. The owner told U-Haul he was picking up his kid and would be there in a few minutes. I waited until after 5 pm and he never showed. Then we made a new reservation/appointment to come the next morning. We did and again the owner did not show up! My husband was able to reach him by phone and he said he was camping with his kids. Scheduled pick-up time was 1 PM - Pulled into local dealer st 12:58 PM, outside office door had a sign -"Out at a job site, and listed a number to call ". Called the phone number, no answer, left a voice mail message. After waiting 15 minutes and no return call, called the number again. He picked up the call and said he would be right there. Finally at 1:31 he showed up. Very pleasant, but no apology for making us wait 1/2 hour. Check out time on receipt was 1:33 PM. Similar issue returning the equipment - called, said he was on a job site, to return the equipment to his lot and he would check us in. After 4 hours, no equipment return confirmation from U-Haul, so I called U-Haul 800 number. They made a note we had returned the trailer 1 day early, and said it could be up to 24 hours before we would receive our final invoice. 26 hours later received an invoice for the full 5 days of the reservation, not the 4 days with the early return. Called U-Haul 800 number again, after holding for over 8 minutes, representative said they have a note it was returned early, the the prior email was not the final invoice. The invoice with the correct amount was emailed within a minute of the end of the phone call. Interesting??? What would of happened if I was not so persistent?Roland E.

He was very personable, friendly, and conducted business in a very professional manner. U-haul changed location for pick-up, they tried to call, but my phone number was off a couple of digits, but they did not send an e-mail to notify me. Later, I informed them of the correct phone number, but someone from u-haul called the following Monday after returning and said I was booked for 12 blankets and they were charging me, but the Ottumwa u-haul did not have the blankets (which was fine). The U-haul representative that called said the number was still incorrect, even though I had told the u-haul representative to correct the phone number, and also informed the u-haul representative at the drop off of the correct number....wowRICHARD S.

I was told initially I would get the U-Haul by 1 pm and then got a call it would be at 5 pm. Then around 4:30 I got a call that it wouldn't be ready until 7 and then I had to call at 7:30 to which I was told it would be ready at 8 pm. I never got a call to say it was ready so I had to go and drive over to find out if it was ready at 8:30. Needless to say 7 hours after I was supposed to get it, it was not fun packing my entire house in the dark. Definitely wouldn't recommendHolly M.

Put no smoking signs in truck. The truck reeked of smoke. Surprising in part because most UHauls for 35 years have banned smoking. Reserved moving pads and furniture dolly were not in the truck. The furniture dolly was accessible outside but no clue where pads were. No one was there at 10 when store was supposed to open either.Mark S.
