The UHaul truck we rented was ok! It definitely needs maintenance or a tune up...but other than that it was clean! Everyone at Aloha Self Storage was very helpful & friendly & made sure we understood everything! Thank you for an easy & smooth rental!!!

The location was difficult to get to but that is not unusual for Maui. The staff was very good. The truck was used up, not current on registration or safety inspection, and had several mechanical issues that affected safety (brakes, steering linkage, u-joints, shift linkage etc.). U-haul, you need to get serious about your business because you have lost mine.

Steering wheel was locked and frozen ignition when I first got in. Fuel tank not FULL. I had to leave truck and go find help to be able to leave. He explained that if tires are turned when parking, the steering wheel will lock up. Also, with fuel, difficult to return with exact fuel level. I ended up leaving it more full than when I picked it up. Gas station is a half block away. They could have brought it up to full.

The staff was professional and gave me no stress service. Very Aloha Spirt at this location. Highly recommend. Get the truck in the morning and return it the next day so you have the evening to work even more to get it back the next day! People were very friendly and had a positive attitude.

I’m a little confused. I don’t remember saying that I was certain it would take a day. without the move is bigger than I thought but I got a call saying the U-Haul is already reserved. I wasn’t done moving but I rushed to deliver it back. Then I discovered I was charged for the day. Why couldn’t I keep my truck if I was charge for the day? I don’t understand why someone was scheduled with the truck wasn’t even there. my bill went up from 40 bucks to 110 and I’m not so happy about it.

We had an issue with the lock and had to return the Uhaul to have it corrected and was promised a discount. When we returned the Uhaul the representative said he couldn't process our bill until Monday and that if we waited until Monday we would get a discount. We received our bill via email several hours after we returned it and there was no discount. Please contact me directly. Thank you

You charge too much,and customer service is lying to a customer.So you telling us is 20.00 a day and put 19.00 a day in U-Haul then hiding your stealing money without customer service explain. I do challenge all people to be aware by using U-Haul.

I rented a box truck from U-Haul, aloha storage in Lāhaina 5/18/22. Carter the GM was nice but I was given the contract to sign w/o looking at the truck. Gas was marked incorrectly because I took a photo of the dashboard for my file. I returned the truck this morning 5/19/22 with a quarter tank, same amount as I got it but they still charged me $30 because they marked the gas incorrectly. There were 3 guys in the office, one older white man was trying to help, but the other two guys, one local, and the other white, said they’ve run my card, printed a receipt and it’s a done deal. They don’t care, too bad. It’s only $30 but i don’t like the attitude and not fixing the problem. I am a business woman and this is not how I treat my customer. Something is not right, you fix it. They are totally unprofessional.

My reservation had been cancelled by a mix up in computer problems. The business was able to offer another truck, so we could complete our job. The staff was very helpful, but I still not have the type of van I ordered.

Aloha storage itself has great customer service . Their agents at the desk are always helpful and super nice . It was easy to book the u-haul. Some people have told me it’s hard to rent one, I told them I had no problems at all , in fact it was easier then going through a drive thru to order food. I highly recommend this company to rent a U HAUL. Will need it again in the short near future. GOD BLESS and stay safe.✝️✝️✝️

I feel like I’ve been ripped off I was late 2 hours before the time I needed to be back because I was in traffic because of an accident that’s not my fault , ohh and I had to rent it on Friday cause they close sat and sun due to personal issue of the work staff and I only needed it on Sunday 400 for the thing having to sit in my yard ,i just wished someone would of told me at the time I got it that it goes by miles and what gas I needed to refill into it as well but nobody told me I had to refill it in the first place ! I would like a refund but that’s probably gonna end us in court.

When I picked up the rental truck I asked about extending the reservation. The gentleman who helped me said he was able to do that so I would have 2 full days of use. I was very thankful because we knew there was no way we could do it all in one day. I received a call the next morning saying I had to immediately bring the truck back for another customer who would pick it up at 10am. I was in the middle of a move, working my ass off and had a lot left to move. I explained that I had confirmed a 2 day reservation and I was simply told “that’s not gonna work”. They then said they had no other rental vehicles available. How would you feel in my situation?

Windshield needs cleaning inside and out. Sun glare not good for safe driving. Steering could be tightened up a bit. Clerk forgot my driver’s license in copy machine. I did not notice and had a bit of panic when asked to show ID to go into secure area to pick up boxes. Office was efficient except for that one lapse. Truck was fine.

First off, the van was dirty and smelly. Had to clean the seats, dashboard, cup holders, and cabin BEFORE bringing any of my personal items into the van. The speedometer wasn't checked and written down for me, the customer at the time of signing the contract, and there ended up being a discrepancy on the miles from what he office put down in the receipt to me afterwards. (I took photos on my phone when i turned on the van to document gas/miles and when I returned it parked, as well as the extra gas I put in... fuel tank was on 3/4, not full when picked up.) Also, NO mention of a "safe drive" fee. Was told at the counter about the flat rental fee, plus $1.49 each mile driven. That's all. He then said at the counter, charging $97 on my VISA to cover the "rental," which I said ok... thinking it was to cover the "miles" and flat fee, and I'd be refunded the balance of what I drove, like ALL car rental agencies operate on. TI was familiar with the counter attendee from renting my storage there, and he normally is kind, yet after the receipt was emailed and I saw the 2 discrepancies, I emailed him back, asking, "what was the HIDDEN FEE for and please adjust the credit back to my card. He then insisted he told me, which isn't true, for If he had mentioned it at time of rental I would have know what a "safe move" was/is, which I still don't. I was already exhausted from the abrupt moving circumstances, yet on principal, how can a company charge a customer for "hidden fees'" not described or agreed upon, and no speedometer reading documented on the contract. His reply to that, I should have told him. How? When I only saw it on the emailed "receipt" in which I replied with the photo images I had taken. Overall, won't rent a Uhaul from the storage facility I've been a loyal customer to for the past 5 years, even bringing small gifts in on holidays. Disappointing to say the least.

The drivers door rear view mirror was broken making it impossible to adjust. If I had known this before I rented it I would have passed. It was dangerous to drive. Could I get a refund I only used it for two hours before I returned it. Thanks for your time in this matter. Dennis Ensminger
