The drivers door rear view mirror was broken making it impossible to adjust. If I had known this before I rented it I would have passed. It was dangerous to drive. Could I get a refund I only used it for two hours before I returned it. Thanks for your time in this matter. Dennis EnsmingerDennis E.

I signed up for U-Haul account unfortunately every time I go to reserve a U-Haul I need to input information that I had already input hoping that every time I sign in or login to my account it automatically will put in the information that I had put in such as my driver's license credit card usageBenvon M.

When I called to reserve the truck, I said I might be able to return it the same day and asked if there was an hourly rate. I was told there is only a 24 hour rate. I booked it. When I picked it up an hour later (at 12:15 pm), I asked when it was due back because the contract showed due back by 4:45 pm the same day. The employee said it was a 24 hour rate so it is due back by noon the next day to allow for a 15 minute cleaning. The next morning I got a call from the office stating that it was due back before 8 am and that my contract said so. The manager was very rude and argued with me that I agreed to have it back by 5 pm the same day. I never agreed to that, I simply asked if it was cheaper if I could get back by 5 pm and he said no. Since I paid for 24 hours, I planned on using it for 24 hours. I was told that the other truck was down for maintenance so I had to bring mine back at 8 am for another booking. I was treated so rudely.Jon J.

Well I signed up online and it had offered me your mobile app pick up. The location that I had reserved for except the mobile app pick up but does not have the mobile app system or equipment. I thank the Lord that I was called and informed by an agent that my pickup time and the mobile app check-in wasn't available so I was able to pick up the car two days in advance to my original reservation because they were closed on Saturday Sunday Monday was open but only opened at 8 my vision was reserved for 5:30 I believe. So if you are presenting mobile app check-in as part of one of your features on your online or your website it would be great that you have the system up and running as wellBenvon M.

Amazing customer service! From my first phone call with Carter Barto I was impressed. We needed to haul a three wheeler mobility scooter and were unsure if it would fit the U Haul ramp. Online details from U Haul state the ramp is 2Ft 2" wide but that's including the lip at edges. Actual usable width is probably 2Ft, therefore not accommodating our scooter (we needed every inch). Luckily when we went to pick up the 15 Ft truck Shawn & Tomina helped us attempt loading previous to doing doc's, we soon realized it wouldn't accommodate the scooter so we rented the van. What nice guys! I managed a Storage & U Haul facility years ago elsewhere and I have to say, I was impressed with not only the customer service, going above & beyond but the office and facility seems nice & clean too. They find anything to charge you extra fee like sands on the bumper of the truck. They know that they are the only moving truck rental In the west side. No other competition means even if they have a bad service people will always go to them.Drelynne N.
I returned the truck better when I got it. I even hosed down the truck bed to removed sands that was already there and yet I got charged a cleaning fee. I've rented Trucks from U-Haul many times in California and never got charged a cleaning fee. Before I picked up the truck they made me wait for about 30 minutes because they couldn't print my receipt. When I called in and dispute the charge Craig hanged up on me. Never again rent from this people. If I need to rent a truck again I rather go to a car rental place.Drelynne N.

Truck was dirty when we picked it up with cigarette butts in the ash tray. I emptied out the leftover cigarette butts. I have received the final bill and it has a cleaning fee? A cleaning fee for a truck that was never clean to begin with? I would appreciate a cleaning credit as I will be calling the store during open hours.DEREK B.

Carter threatened to have the Uhaul towed at my expense and demanded me to drive back to the haul and move the truck when he had the keys, saying I returned it too close to the driveway and it was blocked. I pulled my dually truck in the "blocked" driveway and watched patrons also use the blocked driveway while I was there before the truck was moved. This mans poor attitude at the end of the day will cost you business. Carter is a kook.Clay K.

The man who took our information was rude and clearly not happy. My husband and I are respectful professionals so it was not our behavior that instigated this response. It felt like he was taking his anger/unhappiness out on us. Instead of handing me my driver's license and credit card he deliberately tossed them on the counter even as my hand was out. Carter was INCREDIBLY rude to me. He was rude to not only myself but the other gentleman that was in the office at the same time. He was clearly having a bad day. His delivery and tone were brash and unnecessary. Seemed like a power trip. I walked in, he looked annoyed, said in a rude way "its going to be a while!" he was on the phone. I said "no problem. My 2 movers just cancelled on me so I'm in no hurry." He then proceeded with an attitude. He continued to be incredibly rude. And the next day was even worse. He yelled at me on the phone because of the drop off time he told me yesterday was inaccurate and denied saying it at all. He had inadvertently called me a liar twice. The next day I got mad. Yelled at him (my bad, but I was DONE being treated like this!) and he hung up on me. Some quotes from him 'ummm no you're not!". " do you want the truck or not? "" have you even ever driven one of these?" all in condescending tones. If this is the business uhual does, I'm done. It's sad because it's a monopolized company on this island. Not many truck rental places. But this guy has GOT TO GO. Oh, and when I told a few friends about it after they saw my Facebook post, they knew who I was talking about. So, apparently I'm not the only one he's been rude to. Side note, the gentleman that met helped me return the truck was nice, effiecent and helpful. Probably sucks to works with such an awful human.Ashley W.
