The day we went to pick the truck up we were told we had to drive to another location two hours away to pick up. The clerk wasn't there when we arrived and had to wait 45 minutes for her to get there. Clerk told me they didn't have the appliance dolly and moving blankets that we reserved. The office smelled like marijuana and the truck had no gas in it. The cab of the truck smelled like cigarettes and the fold-out cup holder was broken. I burned a quarter tank of gas just getting the truck two hours back. Spoke with Jesse Ferdenzi on the phone about it and she was entirely unrepentant and found our experience completely acceptable. Definitely would not recommend U-Haul in the future.

GPS location listed on the paperwork did not take you to the correct area. Upon arriving the the site, the app did not work for dropoff. Spent 20 minutes attempting to get it to accept the picture, but it just kept reloading and telling me to take a picture (endless loop). Tried using an online chat tool, and the individual on the chat gave a lazy answer and just defaulted to telling me the app wasn't working because the location just didn't accept after hours dropoff. Which was completely false, as they had a dropoff location documented at the site, and the checkout did work when navigating to uhaul.com through a web browser (BUT NOT THE APP). Overall, wasted nearly an hour dealing with this while I was already on a tight moving schedule and it only added to the stresses of moving into a new home. Do not recommend uhaul in the future, and I will be looking for other carrier locations from now on.

Here's my problem- I'm not sure it's the location but more Uhual! I got a text saying to drop it at one location then we got there and that place was closed so we had to call and take it 20 miles away- I was told my mileage to 60 miles since I got trip was covered (I got extra miles cause the truck I ordered wasn't there and I had to get one half the size) then I was told my gas would not be charged because of the extra driving for one location being closed- none of this happened and I was charged an additional $75! Uhual is horrible- sadly the people stuck being the face of uhual are nice but uhual doesn't follow through or make anything easy so they unfortunately get the bad end of the stick Please fix my account ASAP

No available furniture pads after reserving online. I went to the other location as directed by the front desk, I arrive at that location to the employee out front smoking pot. I was given my furniture pads, only to add additional mileage to the rental and be late for the movers. After arriving to the property the furniture pads were unusable due to LIVE cockroaches on them. I have photos of incident, and never contacted again for a refund. Poor customer service!

You pulled the rug out from under me and switched my pick up location. My guaranteed truck wasnt guaranteed at all. It was 10 miles farther away and that made me go over my maximum mileage.

Check in was a nightmare. If I have a choice I would not rent to pick up after hours. Frustrating and difficult. NOT the locations fault ~ U HAULS fault.

In my pretrip, I noted that the interior needed vacuuming and took a pic. Then, in my post trip, the app asked me again if it was clean. I again said no. Then I was charged the $25 cleaning fee! Why?

The van had the engine light the whole time since I got it; it might need to be checked up.

The vehicle was very clean, Unfortunately the "Check Engine" light came on. I checked all the fluids and all appeared good. At my first fuel fill-up, I discovered the fuel cap was missing which would account for the warning light on. The only issue this generated was a longer time required to fuel-up after traveling some distance due to the fuel vapor build-up in the fuel tank.

If you could check to make sure all fluids are topped off. I had no windshield wiper fluid and at one point it was really dangerous. Also I assume that the air pressure is always checked in the tires before releasing a truck To a customer? It would be nice to add that to your check in to say that tire air pressure is safe. I also never received a dolly. I'm not sure if that is what happens when you do contactless check in but would be nice to make sure that all equipment is received

We unloaded the truck in Martinsburg, WV. Forty miles away from where we were told to drop it off! I tried to check it in at a U-Haul place 1 mile from where we unloaded, they told me to self check in on line, when I did that I was told to drop the truck at the listed above facility, this is unacceptable!

The computer system seemed antiquated as it took the young lady over an hour to connect and enter my rental information ( this was after I had completed my request online days earlier). Finally a telephone call to some U-Haul analysis enabled my bill work to be completed on the system. A lost hour as I had hired my driver who was with me to pick up the truck. Update your system in this office !

In my instance I used the app to pickup the truck after hours. Unfortunately, the keys were not provided as the app outlined causing me to contact someone to get the keys. This made the pickup process longer than necessary. I would recommend having some type of checks and balances to make sure things are ready for the pickup process.
