It would help if the branch didn't make me go through the whole reservation process although I made an online reservation. Also if they wouldn't keep trying to add more charges by selecting additions I didn't include in my online reservation. and if they clean the equipment. The van I got smelled like it was used to move huge amount of animal droppings and as it was the only one available I had to drive with the windows open all the time.Ahmed F.

Mobile pickup was tedious, and had difficulty uploading images (not sure if it ever did). I tried using the app thinking it would be better, but I think it was actually worse than using the web browser version. Location was ok, but trucks parked along street instead of in a lot. As such it was just not an overall great user experience. Truck was clean enough.Kris T.

I got the vehicle with 3/8 gas. i returned it 1/4 , they declared that I returned with 3/8. They sid they will give credit but didn't appear for my last bill. Gas robber.EDWIN M.
We were allowed to pickup the truck the nite before that was very very helpful.... however: 1 We ordered packing blankets and a utility dolly and those weren't provided. We were not told at time of pickup they were not available. We could have made other arrangements. 2. The truck had no A|C from the moment of pickup - June30 hottest day -extremely uncomfortable. We should get $$ returned for the equipment not being operational. Rented many times - worst experience at worst possible time.DALE W.

The online/mobile pickup system didn't seem to work properly but staff at the pickup location were super helpful and got us on the road right away. While we were loading, got a message from dispatch that the drop-off location in our home town was not available, but they set us up with extra time and mileage to make up for the inconvenience. Front end people were excellent. The online system needs a bit of work. Requested photos would not upload, and the credit card transaction did not add the local tax, and had to be added in a separate transaction. These should be relatively minor fixes but would improve the experience a lot.Stephen J.

I wasn't allowed indoors due to Covid restrictions so my comments on the location only reflect what I could see from outside. Paved parking is great but the parking lot is pretty small and shared by staff; they had to get somebody to move their vehicle before I could hook up to the rental trailer. Fortunately the trailer i rented is light enough to move by hand or hookups would have been really challenging and returns as well.Scott M.
I am a long time customer. The main concern in the past was availability(I had to travel 700km to get an available trailer once and 200 km another time. In the past including those above I had to repair three tires at my expense. Replace a back door locking latch and replace a totally wrecked wiring system that erupted in flames when I went.back to check the stability of the hitch and trailer status. Some trailers where booked in Prince Albert. So though I appreciate having the units available they definitely were not in proper condition. AJ was very good in helping repair the trailer I had to get from out of town though which had the broken latch so thanks to them. Lloydlloyd S.

I couldn't return the key to the lock compartment attached to the fence. They were both locked and in use. I couldn't get through to 1800gouhaul. I called to the Miller location. Spoke with jolene. She said leave it in the back of U-Haul with the padlock that I used to get in it at the start.JJ F.

I had basically no contact. Couldn't go in the building had to call. Attendent came took the keys and thats it. Yes it was quick but not great customer aervice in my opinion even with the pandemic restrictions in place it could have been better.Janice J.
Have vehicle cleaned properly was very dirty inside cab and inside box aswell as outside of truck needed cleaning. Also was charged extra $10.00 for safe move when I did my online rental it said safemove was only $30.00 i am very disappointed with this considering we do not have alot of money being on social assistance. Overall tho was very easy to book the truck and return the truck aswell. Was so glad we did not have to have a credit card to rent this truck. May use again but hope we get a cleaner vehicle next time.James Z.

Maintenance on vehicle was lacking. Two different styles of wiper blades. No windshield washer fluid. Rear passenger side tire sensor was on. That sensor to let you know if you are driving "green" or not for best gas mileage as broken. Not sure it is always suppose to go into tow/haul mode everytime you start the vehicle. Overall be nice if it was actually maintainedtroy C.

Filthy vehicle, drove very rough, accessing the key was next to impossible as the lock was corroded and I had to use a screwdriver to move the letters, took me 30 minutes to get in , working outside in freezing temperatures and the app did dot work for me, had to access haul thru web browser, 8 calls to customer serviceLaura W.
Trailer was clean inside. Very dirty outside. Did not want too, but had to touch back door to open it. Bearing grease spray all 9ver hubs. Not sure if hub where going to make the journey and back. Safety chain "S" broken. Self loading of trailers are far too heavy for the customer to do. This location is extremely small, too small. Trucks lining up and down the street. I have been a Uhaul customer for a few years now and this was one of the worse experiences. I will be back as one bad experience does not reflect all the other experiences.Jim M.

There was almost no fuel in the truck when I picked it up and the website isn't compatible with Firefox so it took me twenty minutes to get the truck and then I had to go put of my way in a 26' long truck to get fuel before loading, which put me an hour behindJacob G.
First off, booked truck for a Saturday. Problem #1, location is closed Saturday, U-Haul call centre says hey, no problem, pick up Friday and it's yours all day Saturday at no extra cost. Drop unit Saturday night, piece of crap website to process return means I "return" truck Sunday afternoon, charge an extra day. OK. Truck is as dirty at dropoff as when picked up, so hey add $25 for "cleaning". Oh, when picked up, the web checkin has a photo of a broken mirror but none of the smashed in right front corner of the van body, so maybe the aforementioned POS web check in let me add those photos, or maybe it didn't. At least they're time stamped in my phone. The overview would be that you should rent from a location that's open on the return date, so you don't get charged a bunch extra. That and U-Haul should really improve their website.Steven P.

The vehicle I was given for my move was not cleaned inside the cab. It was sticky and covered in some sort of spilled beverage, the floors were dirty and the dashboard was covered in dust. I still have not received any sort of acknowledgment.Ally M.

The lower drivers side mirror was broken which made it difficult to see close traffic on the left side. This absolutely should have been fixed before deeming this vehicle roadworthy. The pickup process through the app did not work also. This was very frustrating. It took an hour at least for us to actually pick up the vehicle after calling the 1800 number. Finally we were able to do the process on a web browser but there were still annoying bugs especially when uploading photos. I would not recommend the 24/7 mobile pickup option to anyone. Very frustrating. We will not be using your services in the future.Brydan S.
Phone pickup and the U-haul app are the worst ever. The app failed to progress beyond taking a self photo. Had to switch to the website which would time out after about 15 seconds while you tried to scan your drivers license. I did NOT receive the moving blankets, but was afraid that if I disagreed with the billing I would need to start again. With the long waits for support or chat, it took an hour to pick up this truck.Andrew A.

Because of COVID the office was closed and everything was done over the phone. They confirmed some details, took my payment, and told me to hook up to a trailer with a specific number. They didn't explain anything else, tell me how long I had the trailer for, or told me about that I would be getting a text message about looking for damage before I left. I was so busy hooking up that I didn't even notice the text message until it was too late. I asked for help with the hitch while on the phone, right after I paid. The guy came out, hooked me up and walked away. No one helped me check that the lights were working and I was by myself. They weren't working, so I had to call and wait for someone else to come out and help. I recently rented a smaller trailer in Alberta and it was given to me for 48 hours. I didn't ask for that, that's just the way it was. So I assumed this rental was also for 48 hours, as AJ salvage didn't tell me any different. It sure wasn't a 48 hour rental. There were numerous issues with AJ salvage, but the fact they didn't care about safety (helping with the hitch and checking that the lights were working) is a significant concern. Not telling me about the length of the rental or to check for pre-existing damage could have really, really financially impacted me.Craig E.

Brown wire from trailer to extension is broken and get a bad connection so the light at night may or may not work depending on the connection. Need to disconnect connection to see where the issue is.Alden W.
