I had to cancel part of my job today because the gentleman behind the counter said I needed to have the rental back by 4, even though he made me wait until he got there. Not great customer service

Jennifer O.The phone number provided (952-368-3251) was never answered and provided no voice mail, it simply stopped ringing. I was unable to reach anyone when I returned the truck at 4pm on Saturday and I have been unable to reach anyone since that time.

RICHARD A.The lock was frozen shut. When I called u haul to help me the lady asked if I "tried warming up the lock". It's mid December in Minnesota, there isn't much to do. Thankfully one of the managers at the location happened to be at work 1.5 hrs early with a blow torch... Within 3 seconds of the torch it unlocked. He said it was at least his third time this year using a torch to open the locks. For being a u haul in Minnesota it should have the locks in a warmer location or at least have a room over the locks to somewhat help from snow and freezing rain. The lady on the phone never called me back like she said she would so again, thankfully there was an amazing worker who knew how to help.
Caitln S.We were quoted approx $150-200, we were charged $371 on pick up. We filled the tank back up to 3/4 and were still charged additional for gas. We were promised a partial refund on the overcharge and still haven't received it back to my card.

Nathaniel G.This dealer is such a cheat that.. he never give the U-Haul truck with full gas tank. We always return the vehicle after filling the gas for the miles we drove, but he simply charge extra money stating gas is less. This kind of mess or confusion will not happen if he gives the vehicle with full tank. When we call him to discuss about why I was charged more even after filling the fuel. Only answer we get from this dealer is to call customer care service to raise dispute. Why do we have to go through all this even though the vehicle properly. Hope this review helps others.

It was frustrating, though in the end it worked out. The staff at this location were very concerned with me about this and did what they could, and in a very personable manner.
David V.Ques2: truck was clean and it didn't break down, which is all I want, but the mechanics of the engine/computer probably has some problems. Taking all the photos at return was a bit much… Perhaps add a reminder on app to drop key in drop box if facility is closed. Website could explain rental options more clearly: one way vs. in town in regards to guaranteed pick up locations. Otherwise, for the reasonable price and I had good experiences with various staff at traffic and at Pick up Site, I was happy overall.

Virgil E.The location was fine in general but our pick up location was changed on us at last minute and that added another 16 miles to our trip that we had to pay for. We wouldn't of had to if the original pick up location was kept. Also, we had to redo the pictures of the drivers license stuff and all that info in person when we picked up though we had already done it all online in advanced. So it didn't save any of the info. And When it changed our Pick up location it still said to pick up at 9 am but the new place didn't open untill 11 am so that wasn't the best experience. And it all made us have a late start to our busy moving day.Thank u

Terry H.It was incredibly stressful to arrive and have to work through your confusing on-line check in system. In addition to having to add location services , it also required additional identification that was not clearly stated at the time of reserving. You need to prepare people to have a passport or even a friend's phone. Also, even though I had my own phone in the reservation when I tried to enter it with my driver's license it said it had already been used and would not let me continue. I was in tears and completely distraught as time was wasting. Fortunately, your customer service people didn't make us wait TOO long to answer and talk us through the situation, that was honestly a mess because of our situation not knowing anyone well enough to hand out their phone number to you and not having our passport with us - why would anyone bring their passport if not expressly told to??. The man at Acorn storage where we picked up the rental, Lenny, I think, was also an angel. You should pay him more for his dedication to getting the trucks checked in and ready.

Gary O.1. The UHaul ap would not work. Would not recognize my contract number or scan my receipt when I dropped off after hours. 2. The location does not have a functioning phone number or voice-mail to leave a message noting the time I dropped off the truck. Very frustrating.

Uhaul is the price leader which is good, because 90% of the customer experience was horrible. To reiterate Acorn site was perfectly fine.

JANICE L.The truck was dirty inside the cab and bed w/ peoples things they have left in there, a crack on the front right of the windshield i asked about but was dismissed on, the mileage was put in wrong so my 30 mile trip when dropping off turned into 990 miles due to an error on their part.
