I originally had a reservation at a U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer on 392 Leonard St in Brooklyn on 9/30/22, which is near my apartment. My cargo van was to be picked up at 8:00am under Truck Share 24/7. At 7:00am that morning, I go into my phone to get info on how to get into my van and get a message that I have to wait until 10:00am to ge they key, which is when that location actually opens. This was a time sensitive reservation and I was forced to travel from Williamsburg to East Flatbush to get a van in time. This is not on Abtech Consulting, but shame on U-Haul for advertising the location at 392 Leonard St as a Truck Share 24/7 location. Totally false and proceed with caution when making reservations in this area.Raymond K.

Personnel are friendly and helpful. But this location has a small parking lot, which was full when I arrived. Had to find street parking, and wait in the van for the Alternate Side parking time to end. Fortunately only about 10 minutes.Stefan M.

When the trucks are being cleaned the dust should be removed from inside the truck. When you turn on the AC the amount of dust blowing out from the vent can give you asthma.Ograndy F.

I've had a terrible experience with Uhaul once we returned the truck 37 minutes early we were told they can't control when they complete the process of returning the truck. Basically I can return it early and when they complete the paperwork it can be considered late. So that resulted in the return location accused me of returning the truck late when in fact the keys were handed to the owner of that location 37 minutes earlier and I was charged for an extra day. When I called to complain the owner argued with me for 15-20 minutes until I finally received a refund. Also I received an email advising the truck was never returned Even though it was returned early. Customer service was terrible and I won't be using uhaul going forward. I would really appreciate corporate contacting me regarding this matter.Stephen K.
The location is trash. The parking lot is horrible its on a dirt lot, unpaved. Very difficult to get out. I would never recommend this location.BILLY F.

Pickup was disorientating bc the office wasn't open to pickup the keys and I was confused on which one to pickup. Someone later called me asking which van I picked up bc someone else picked up the van I was supposed to have. There should be more clear instructions on how to pickup which van and a more accurate initial charge to my account instead of taking more in the beginning.William G.

I enjoyed the customer service of the person at this location. Their personality was great and helpful. However... The equipment was a BIG problem for me. We rented two dollies (a furniture dolly and a utility dolly) and furniture pads. There was no furniture dolly available or furniture pads. In addition to that, there was no ramp on the back of the uhaul. All of this made our move way more difficult than it needed it be. Our furniture got scratches on them that could have been prevented with the furniture pads. We scratched the piano we were moving and strained our backs which could have been avoided with a ramp. We reserved these items and expected them and not having them was very difficult. For these reasons I would not feel comfortable recommending this as a good experience. The gentleman helojg is was kind, but kindness plus what we ordered would be what we would prefer.Arel M.

The truck I reserved initially was not at its original location, so I got re-routed to this location. That is generally speaking, fine, however, when I arrived at this location, I was told they didn't have any of the furniture dollies or hand trucks that I had also reserved. They also didn't have all of the furniture blankets that I needed. This was unacceptable, namely because at no point was it communicated to me that these items would not be at the location. This made my move much more difficult and stressful overall and I am very dissatisfied with the way it was all handled. On top of that, when we found out that this had happened, we called U-Haul and the woman we spoke to was rude and condescending, telling us we could come and pick up these items in a different location. There was no time for that and we asked that someone deliver them to us, which was refused. Not a great customer service experience to say the least.Benjamin D.

The location and the gentleman that assisted with our checkout were good. The location is clean and has COVID advisory posted so that was appreciated. The truck I rented had multiple issues one of which was the horn going off if you grip the wheel the wrong way. Very serious issues when navigating NYC. The vehicle I given wasn't the same written on the contract, and it caused some inconvenience to straighten out mileage use when the vehicle was returned. The vehicle had heavy smell of cigarette smoke, not even a can of lysol could knock out the cigarette stench. Uhaul has become so big and convenient, and I don't think they care about customer service anymore. This review may never cause any changes, because customers needs their vehicles and will use Uhaul anyway.Raeburn F.

The process to reserve/book a van took too long. When I tried to leave the lot another van was blocking the entrance of the lot. By the time the employee came out and helped me with exit the lot, I lost 15-20 minutes of my reservation which caused me to be late to return the U-Haul and I got charged a late fee.
