I had to change to this location last minute. The parking lot was very cramped due to the number of college students moving in so it was difficult to find an appropriate place to park my truck. Overall I had an okay experience dropping off my truck.Devin G.

Overall, renting from Uhaul is always very disorganized. Online reservations are almost always messed up. Equipment may not even be available or the order gets transferred to another location. The charges are typically different than stated as well. It is generally unreliable.Leigh N.

Customer service shit-show. My reservation was moved to a different location, I was notified the night before. That location required a self-serve check-in/check-out. The self-serve did not work. I called for help, my wait time on hold was estimated to be an hour. I drove to the U-HAUL corporate store where I had requested the reservation, hoping they could help. They rudely told me that it wasn't their problem and there wasn't anything they could or cared to do about it. It was U-Haul's issue, not theirs. They were kind enough to give me a couple of phone numbers to try. I got someone on what sounded like a personal phone who eventually was willing/able to help me. Also, it's aggravating as hell to look up the phone number for our local store, only to be sent straight to a call center in another part of the country that can't even pronounce the town I live in, much less help me with anything locally. I know how to dial a 1-800 number. When I call a local number, I expect a local person to answer.Joel M.

The self pick up was very convenient and the guiding through it was easy to follow. I wish there was a way I could have done more before getting to the u-haul location instead of having to put in all my information and license pictures when I was there. Also, more variety in vehicles, i would have preferred to get a smaller truck, but none were available.Katherine K.

I'm not seeing a place where I can share my experience so before clicking submit, I'll share it here. Over the years, dealing with u-haul has always been like pulling teeth. After making my reservation I wanted to take all the steps I could to make sure everything would go smoothly. I went by the pickup location a day early to see if everything was in order. I spoke with Clint at the pickup location and shared with him something that I read when "trying" to make my reservation online. I read something about my trunk may need to be inspected before I could rent. I ended up calling to make my reservation and asked the young lady that same thing. She was great and told me everything is good to go. I just wanted the pickup location that I was renting from to echo that same statement, but Clint was not able to do that. Clint did not make me feel comfortable in renting from u-haul. Suggested I go to another location and ask them if my truck needed to be inspected. Can't we just call them, I asked, but I was told no. By this time, I'm getting aggravated. I ended up going to the other location Clint suggested and they told me pretty much what the nice lady on the phone told me when I called in to make my reservation. I can say that Clint did a pretty good job at handling an agitated customer, so 5 stars on that but ... 2 stars on providing the info I needed when making my rental decisions. I arrived at the pickup location early on the rental day (Sat 9 April 2022) and was loaded, out the door and on the road by 09:21. This young lady was fantastic. A pleasure to do business with. I failed to get her name and I do apologize. Now, let's talk about returning the trailer. I never got a text with any info on returning the trailer but I do remember the nice lady at the pickup location saying something about your Frederick Rd location here in Auburn. So, I go to that location, they're closed. I called the phone number for that location, I get an answering machine and not the national call center. I call another location, told the person of my issue, they transferred me to Share a Ride ??? I think that was it was call. I go thru my story again and was transferred to scheduling. I go thru my story again and finally I was helped by another very nice person. Just seemed like a lot to go thru to return the trailer. The trailer was fantastic and pulled like a dream. The girl who hooked up the trailer blew the fuses in my car and just said eh we don't care if you don't. Had to go to two other uhaul centers before someone fixed it. (Took them less than a minute!)ANDREA P.
Be prepared for longer than you expect check in if you're trying to do it online. The "easy to do it yourself" plan is more complicated than they say. If you're doing anything when they are open, don't expect any friendly service from young woman who works in the office. Customers seem to interrupt her boredom with the job.John Gregory A.

The self-rental process was challenging and beyond frustrating. The truck was dirty, and getting the key to turn in the ignition was even more challenging. We struggled with getting it to turn every time we turned the truck off. Call the customer support line and was told it was 1 hr and 45 min wait. Luckily they returned our call in about 30 minutes - the amount of time it took me to figure out I had to download the app in order to actually do the rental - you can't do it online. Would have been nice to know that before wasting time trying to complete the rental online. Won't ever rent from U-Haul again.Mark R.

While the negative experience had to do with the truck not being available at the original location, only to find out that the new location didn't have the truck either. I finally had to go to ABBA but it took lots of time trying to get the website to "Locate" me even though safari was setup to allow my location.Tim K.

I found this location online and scheduled a moving van . The pickup was good after calling and informing them that I would be late . The lady there was nice but she didn't inform me her business would be closed at my drop off time . After calling this location with only a leave a message recording response I went online to try to finish the deal . This rental was a spur of the moment action for me and I don't want to create a account online to get credit for returning the rental . Taking pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge I can understand but pictures showing cleanliness and parking location is lame . My return time was at a reasonable time of 4:30 and I got there over an hour early . If this is routine procedure for the Uhaul company my future rental will be from someone else .ALLEN I.
