I had to drive 80 miles to pickup my truck.I was told it would be somewhere in Cedar Rapids area.To improve your PR don't lie to people.I would not of went with U Haul but I had people coming Mon-day morning to help me load.This experience was not good!

Location did not include moving blankets and two hand trucks after I ordered them online. Uhaul changed. Y reservation after a week of ordering the uhauls to one location close to my home to over an hour away at two locations. It was so inconvenient and horrible.

The equipment was fine but I wouldn’t recommend UHaul in general because this entire experience was awful. I don’t plan on moving again anytime soon but when I do I’ll try harder to find a budget truck, Penske, anything else for that matter. We booked our truck online and chose a pickup location which was changed without our knowledge for inventory reasons....that was fine but we were never notified. I found out when they called for confirmation. The new location didn’t have our truck and had to send us to another location the day of. Furthermore I got a call the next day asking why I hadn’t turned in my truck which I told them I had it another day. Because the previous Friday when they called for confirmation I extended my reservation. I sat on hold and was bounced around to 3 different people for a total of 40 minutes to get that fixed, which clearly was never fixed. The whole company and customer service is a shit show and needs to be ran better.

To whom concern: Order number: 88767077 On Monday 13th May 2019, I drove down to Uhaul situated in Casper Wyoming and booked a 20 foot (2-3 bedroom) truck for a one way trip from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Casper, Wyoming. I was allocated mileage of 403 miles, more than enough for my haul. I was informed that I would receive an email from Uhaul confirming the pickup location in Colorado Springs. Also, that the pickup location might change but would still be in Colorado Springs. I received the email with pickup location. I arrived in Colorado Springs the night before pickup and received a text message that now stated that the pickup location was in Pueblo Colorado and not in Colorado Springs! Pueblo is a complete different town, more than 50 miles away! I now had to find a way to get to Pueblo, 45 minutes away to pick up the truck! After picking up the truck, it had less than half a tank of gas in it, there were damages all over the truck that was not marked with your “x” marking, to include a chipped windshield. Your representative told me to take pictures for my records. Really? I had to do your work? I filled the truck and drove my load to Casper Wyoming. I arrived in Casper, downloaded the truck and returned it. Your representative looked the truck over and I pointed out all the damage that was not marked. His response “some guys do not have the “x” stickers. Next he told me that he is going to charge me for the 8 MILES THAT I WENT OVER THE ALLOCATED 400 MILES! I explained to him that the allocation was from COLORADO SPRINGS AND NOT PUEBLO COLORADO. He apologized but said that he does not have the authority to void the miles and charged my credit card! Firstly, by moving the pick up location 51 miles (see the attachment) FROM ONE CITY TO ANOTHER, your company cost me more than 90 minutes in extra driving, there and back from Colorado Springs, you also cost me the gas for 110 EXTRA MILES that I had to drive and you have the audacity to charge me for 8 miles that I went over the mileage allocation from Uhaul? This is totally unacceptable business practice and my next step is contacting and sending this email to the Better Business Bureau. This is NOT is not about the few Dollars for the 8 extra miles. It is about the complete experience of doing business with your company.

Truck #1.-Reservations was for another location, they didn't have the truck we needed and sent us to this location. They didn't have the appliance Dollie at this location, so we had to go back to the original location to get get the Dollie. This truck went over a pot hole and the drivers mirror dropped completely off. We contacted U-Haul in Evanston, WY, they said they couldn't fix the mirror, we could get another truck, but we would have to unload and reload the truck. We opted to drive the truck with a car following acting as mirrors by using their phones on speaker. It was not a good trip. Truck #2- I was charged for 5 days, they tried to change it to 4 at the rental site, the computer would not let them change it, so I was over charged. This trip was the worst rental we have had from U-Haul. We need to rent another truck in the near future and will be looking at another company.

We had to drop off during closed hours but called ahead to make sure that was acceptable. The gentlemen who answered the phone was very helpful at explaining what we had to do and where we had to go and was prompt about checking the trailer in and sending us an email the next morning.

Engine coolant was not checked by location. During our trip the engine overheated and quit. I put 5 Gallons (GALLONS) of anti freeze in the radiator reservoir before it would run again. When we broke down Uhaul was quick to get us a mechanic and the mechanic was VERY friendly and helpful.

This was the biggest headache and hassle I have ever been through and I have used Uhaul numerous times. I will never use uhaul again. We were making an out of state move and reserved a truck in our town, the day before we were scheduled to pick up said truck it was rented out, resulting in us having to drive an hour and a half north to pick up a truck, which costs us extra gas and time. When we picked up the truck they had "lost" our $100 cash deposit. Once that was resolved they didn't have the tow trailer that was included, as it had been damaged the night before they said. That resulted in us going across to town to another uhaul location to get a tow dolly. Then we had to pay another cash deposit because the tow dolly was put under a second reservation. We had to waste more gas money and time. Yet again. When we dropped off the truck and trailer at the fourth location we were refused our first deposit. I am still trying to contact someone to get this deposit back. I recommend spending the extra to rent from budget or penske. I will NEVER be a uhaul customer again.

My first time driving a nice uhaul. Very clean and so easy to drive. Parking was perfect for the drop off. Nice to know that you can go online, reserve and pick up the truck the same day (within a few hours). I would use this location again for my next move. Thank you for all your help!
