Alexandria SI went with no contact since my times were outside of office hours. Generally, things went well. Upon arrival, the app could not detect my location. It took me a few tries and about 10 minutes to allow the U-Haul website to locate me. Although my location services were turned on, I still had to allow safari apps to use the service. Perhaps some guidance on how to activate them, ie. top three things to try, would be useful. On the return, the app just hung when processing the return photos. Had to start the return process over, and even the second time, it took a while to process. If normal, something noting a delay would be useful. Finally, the note at the end said I would receive an email with the final accounting. I did not. I believe it was $78 and change.

Maria WThe app offered pickup via the app and allowed me to book an 8am pickup. Upon arrival, I did rhe checkin and it stated to wait until the location opens at 9. I had movers booked 8:30 and had to push the back. When I e-signed it still had a drop off at 2 instead of the 6 hours I was promised. It was disappointing that the app and the location did not match and delayed the move.
Carol VThe front wheel alignment was out by a large degree toe out. I discovered this on the i95 whilst driving to my destination. I was able to handle this without incident but a driver who is more nervous would have an accident leaving U-Haul potentially liable.

Truck was ready when I arrived and he helped with checking out. He was very professional and made my experience a great one. Highly recommend.

Maria WThe gentleman at the Levittown pickup location was very helpful. The scheduling process was horrible. We scheduled to pick up the truck in Morrisville. The reservation was moved to Levittown, but we were not notified. We also ordered and paid for a mattress cover at the time of the reservation. The mattress cover was not at either Morrisville or Levittown. Very disappointing transaction overall.

Marcella BWe love A Storage Depot and have rented many times. It is very quick and easy. The van is easy to load and park since it has a back up camera.
Maria WThe man in the office had no idea what to do at all, from checking out the uhual, or to return unused boxes. Took almost an hour to leave with the uhual. Even after I checked out online. He had to call someone there was no answer waited for call back. He didn't no how to work the computer or copier to make a copy of me receipt. Completely horrible experience.

Helenann LWhile the employee at the pickup location in PA was awesome personally, the truck had a front right tire that was worn so slick we had to replace it using roadside assistance the moment we returned to NJ an hour away (our original requested pickup location). Thankfully the mechanic was prompt, but he said he was surprised we were allowed to drive off the lot with the tire in such a state. A few days later on the road, the cab and steering wheel started rattling so violently we pulled over in OK, and again called roadside assistance. The mechanic who was called was also excellent, but he had to replace the front LEFT wheel this time with his own tire, that hadn't been pre-balanced by U-Haul (because none were available). Alarmingly, he said it was only a matter of time before we would have had a blowout, which leaves me to wonder whether the vehicle had been adequately examined before being assigned to us, considering we had scheduled a cross country journey from NJ to CA. Thankfully the rattling subsided when the tire was replaced, but by end of our journey different concerning sounds had arisen, audible at a range of speeds when we opened the windows. I appreciate U-Haul offering us more mileage and rental days to compensate for the inconvenience of picking up an hour away, and every single employee we spoke to or dealt with (including the independent contractor mechanics) was professional and courteous. I just worry that we were given an unsafe vehicle for a very long journey, which is disappointing considering how far in advance we booked. Thank you for welcoming feedback, and I still plan to recommend U-Haul in the future.
KATE AI had a great experience. Extended weekend hours are the only thing I would find more useful, but I understand that isn't always feasible.
