When I scheduled the Ubox in Phoenix, to Orlando area. I was asked where I would want it delivered, at that time I had no idea where I would be living, so I gave my son's zip code. So once I found a house and asked for it to be delivered I was told we can't do that because its not in out area. I was never told anything about this when I reserved the Ubox. So it ccost me another $725 to have the Ubox contents delivered.. Also when I called the number for Uhaul on Old Cheney Highway, Orlando. I left 4 messages to call me back. That never happened. So I dealt with the corporate number and arranged or so I thought, but no one never called the UHaul location on Old Cheney Highway. So when I got there with the movers to unload my Ubox no one had a clue that I was coming. They were able to locate the box and I got it unloaded. I have used Uhaul many times in the past but it will be a long time before I use them again, If ever. I also will let people know the issues I had. Sherlyn NegriSherlyn N.

When I went to the location to pick up the van, the door was locked at 11 am when they posted on the door that they open at 7am. After walking around the building and not finding anyone I started knocking on the door and someone came to the door. Once leaving with the van the indicator on the dash said that the oil was low. Then the engine light went on. I called the location to notify them, and they never responded. I pulled into a gas station to check the oil and there wasn't any oil indicated on the dip stick. I put in two quarts. There still wasn't any indication on the dip stick but the engine light went off and so did the low oil indicator. The morning I returned the van the low oil indicator came back on. I notified the person who checked me in that the van has a problem with the oil. When I arrived home, I checked the two spots that I parked the van and noticed oil all over the place. The engine obviously has a serious oil leak. The woman who helped with the check out and check in reimbursed me for the 2 quarts of oil and she was very helpful.Daniel G.

There was a lot of miscommunication between the facility and the movers and even though I kept asking to be kept in the loop, I had to keep calling to find out about the status of my stuff. The boxes arrived on the 6th, but no one at the facility unloaded it from the truck (at least that's what they said), so then When the movers got there, the box wasn't ready (for my scheduled move on the 7th). The movers said they couldn't get the stuff again until Sunday, June 10. I called back to confirm that with Uhaul. They said that was fine, and that they had also spoken with the movers about Sunday. During that call, someone at uhaul said they said they could just bring the box to my apartment and leave it in the parking lot. they acted like that was doing me a favor, but pragmatically, that meant I was just going to have my stuff sitting unsecured in the parking lot here with no way to get it up here. I am guessing they wanted to deliver it here so that they would owe me less of a refund for the stuff being late, or have more storage space in their facility. I felt annoyed because it seemed like they really just wanted to risk my stuff to save money. Then, when Sunday came, the movers got to the facility and no one was there to operate the forklift. That seems like some foresight that a well run facility would have seen as a potential issue. On Monday, there was little communication with me about my stuff, except a text message asking me to verify equipment that I didn't have. When the stuff finally got here (which I found out through the movers, not Uhaul), some of the stuff was broken. To be clear, all of the staff at Uhaul were kind, friendly, and nice. They were not the problem. It just seems like the bureaucratic processes were not helpful, and like I said, seemed to prioritize profit over the safety and security of my stuff (which is all I have).LeahCorinne J.

The truck that I had rented had a leaky roof. Unfortunately we didn't discover until we got to our destination and a downpour. Many wet boxes, water damaged furniture had to get thrown out etc. Otherwise everything went well. Helpful and friendly staff at both locationsSharia M.

Truck was on 23 Miles to Empty when I drove away. Brought it back after putting 15 Dollars in. Drooped off with 25 miles to E. Was charged an extra 90.71 for absolutely no reason. Very rude and unpleasant staff to work with. No one was wearing face masks, from the office staff inside to the employees in the warehouse side of the building. There is no clear direction to how you're supposed to access your Uhaul U-box, I was yelled at by an employee and the store manager despite having called in ahead of time to access my storage box. I was told there were signs up front but no reasonable customer would be able to see them without being told ahead of time. I work with the public, and speaking to customers with courtesy and respect is an essential part of any business. After I was finished emptying my box, I was left two passive aggressive voice messages from the office staff.1 star from me and will absolutely never use again.Sean M.

The truck and location smelled. We filled the gas tank to the same line but still was charged for fuel. After calling the location to question the charged, to be told that we needed to contact the 800#. After several attempts to reach the correct department, we were told that someone will be in touch. Not put the transport already on a truck . That prevents the user from using ine od the main and greatest features of thentruck. The wonderful rampm and also connect the chain to the frame of a car, not just a random bar that was underneath the car.Melissa R.
I have never been treated so horrible at any time with any business. The owner of this location ( 6810 Old Cheney Hwy. Orlando Fl. 32807) is extremely disrespect & apparently a violent man. He approached me in such a manner that I honestly thought he was going to hit me. As if that wasn't bad enough he then charged my card with a fraudulent charge. I had to call Customer service & report this guy. Once speaking to the field manager & a customer service rep. my over charge was taken care of but considering this guy has apparent violent tendencies.... I strongly will advise anyone & everyone to make sure they never do business at that location. I just thank God I didn't get physically harmed.. The truck was dirty and the man insisted on him taking pictures of the miles in the fuel so that I didn't have to but I realize what he did was scammed the system because I feel the tank to 5/8 right before I got to the U-Haul location and he said that I only had it at a half a tank. Con artist swindlers whatever you want to call them that's what they are. Disgusting. U-Haul commissions me to tow a trailer from Pompano to Orlando in exchange for $250 within 1 business day it's been 5 business days and I still don't have the money. U-Haul dealer smells bad. Hours are different than what is listed online and what someone told me here inside the store. Online it says they open at 7am, on the door it shows 7:30am, and the people in the store said they opened at 8:00am. No truck ready when I arrived at 7:40am even though the website said I could arrive up to an hour prior to my appointment time.Nicole D.
