Cell coverage very low with ATT. So using the rent by phone was problematic. Not a good place to leave my vehicle while renting. I returned the rental on Saturday at 8am with 1/3 of a tank of gasoline. My rental agreement stated that I had maintained possession of the rental until Monday at 9am due to that locations operating hours. So that location had the vehicle 2 days earlier than expected. I received No phone call even after I left a message about the return process. Then I received the invoice with a charge of 12.50 for 3 gallons of gasoline even though the level was consistent with the stated amount. Still no call stating that there would be a change. This location did NOT sign us off as we returned it. We brought the trailer back 24 hrs early, yet I got 3 phone calls regarding the return time. Apparently, the desk person failed to follow through with the paper work.TOM G.

I'm not sure if it's just the Webster area, but the last 2 times i've used U-Haul i've had issues with both of my drop offs, and been VERY disappointed. The first one being Clear Lake (which i never heard back from y'all about), when i was told i wouldn't be charged for the 24 hour period if dropped off by a certain (don't remember exactly) time. I complied, and was still charged. when i called to try to get the issue resolved, i was told the same thing the League City store told me: â€œcall this numberâ€ When i dropped off at the League City store most recently, it was a far worse experience! Firstly, there were no signs, banners, or anything. The only way i even found the place, was seeing all of the U-Haul vehicles lined up down this random (i only it found by following the GPS), already narrow road, making only one lane accessible to both incoming and outgoing traffic to the â€œofficeâ€ and the storage facility its collaborated with. Not at all ideal for those without trucks or trailer maneuvering experience. Even with a truck there's hardly any space to move at all. How do y'all expect people to get in and out of there? ESPECIALLY with a trailer? Secondly, upon entering to ask if i was even in the right place, the attendant was very unprofessional. He was leaned back in his chair doing something on his phone (i'm assuming because the â€œinternet was downâ€ according to him), which was most likely for the customer who was already in there. when i told him i was looking for the U-Haul store, he asked what i needed, as if the answer to my question varied based on my response. After parking the trailer, i went back inside to ask if i had been charged for the dolly rental, because i forgot to pick it up after getting the trailer hooked up due to the poring rain, and wanted to see if i could get refunded if i was. As previously stated, he told me there was nothing he could do, because his internet was down. â€œCall that numberâ€ WORST OF ALL, when he followed me outside to unhook the trailer, he told me to go ahead and get in the vehicle, and he'd unhook it. after halfway unhooking it, he told me i was good to go and started walking back towards the office. Naturally, i put my vehicle in drive, and expecting the trailer to be unhitched, i hit the gas. I immediately realized i was not completely unhooked when i started dragging the trailer by its chain. When i got out to go see what happened, not only did he leave my harness (for the brake/blinker lights) dragging on the ground, he failed to do the easiest part of hooking/unhooking a trailer. He didn't take of the â€œreinforcementâ€ chains that hook onto the sides of the hitch receiver. I really wish i would've taken a picture, but again, the weather wasn't the best, so i was more worried about whether or not i just damaged the trailer, COMPLETELY unhooking it, and getting out of there. U-Haul has m been my family's â€œgo-toâ€ for truck rentals for over 2 decades. Until I looked it up, I didn't even know who y'all's competition was, because i'd never even though about it.. That said, even after the miscommunication at the Clear Lake store happened, and i never heard back from y'all about some type of solution or refund after writing to y'all about it, i tossed it up to â€œcoincidenceâ€ and still came back. Being that i never heard back the last time i submitted a review, i'm willing to bet i won't get a response to this one either. That goes to show how pointless these reviews are, and that nobody is actually reading them, because no â€œconsumer-based businessâ€ would ignore loosing a family full of loyal/returning customers over their own company's errors, incompetence, or lack of customer service. ESPECIALLY when it was deliberately brought to y'all's attention. Needless to say, we'll start trying Penske from here on out, if these situations aren't somehow rectified.CHRISTIAN D.

Actually you can improve by addressing my concern. I originally reserved a truck at a rental location in my hometown. Based on this pickup location and the destination I calculated 10 miles of total travel. The day prior to pickup I was notified by the local rental location that the truck I reserved was damaged and not available. I was told to pick up a truck at another rental location. This increased the mileage from 10 to 16 miles. I was charged for 16 miles. The damaged truck was not my fault so I asked for the bill to be reduced by 6 miles. I have not heard back from UHaul regarding this request.Joe S.
