Scheduled to pick up the U-Haul at 2:30pm. Called to say we were running about 45 minutes late. The lady said she had a doctor's appointment at 4:00 and need to come right away. According to the website and the sign on the door it supposed to be open till 5:00. Ended up getting in my car and driving over to get the U-Haul, leaving my car there till my husband got home then returning to pick up the car. This location is more of a pickup place, no counter, etc. Employees just sitting outside on the steps. As for the 15-foot U-Haul, it had almost 137,000 miles on it and the gas tank was just 1/4 full so I had to go to the gas station and fill up. I've rented a lot of U-Haul's over the years and never have I had to go get gas immediately!!!! Also, I declined the insurance when I filled out the paperwork online but when I picked up the U-Haul the lady said I HAD to get the insurance because it was a requirement of U-Haul.

I request an in person pick up. U-Haul changed the location to a unoccupied location without being told it would not be in person.

SARA MWe were missing all the moving blankets and supplies we ordered and when we contacted to report it took a long time only to be told we wouldn’t be charged, no resolution for all of the missing things we needed for our move.
Dana LI was charged for a dolly but never received it, there were old furniture blankets in the back of the truck that I didn’t ask for and smelled like smoke so then all my stuff smelled like smoke.
Emily HAt the Kennedy Ave location, no one was there, no one answered the phone, and vehicles sit outside with flat tires, all you get on the phone is a repeated message about not answering calls, and the place is only open 3 days a week. Nobody to help! Had to call Uhaul 800 number for help! Never had this experience anywhere else! Very bad!

Andrew GParking lot was covered in broken glass and trash. Office was locked at 4pm; attendant came out smelling like pot and just told me where to park it, then went back into the office. Provided no assistance in disconnecting the trailer.

David AHard-to-place trailer to leave and felt very uncomfortable just leaving in what looked like a less-than-desirable place.
Jay CEquipment was good, but when I tried to return the truck, the website was down and no one would answer the phone. The next day I was billed a $27 fee because whoever measured the gas gauge said it was lower than it really was. I picked up the truck with exactly half a tank and returned it with exactly half a tank. The only phone number listed in the contract or receipt is 513-772-0041 but it has been disconnected, so there's no one to talk to about this. I would appreciate if someone would call me back to make this right. My number is 219-730-9472.
Brendan BStore was supposed to be open till 5:00 pm. Got there just after 4 and they were gone. So I had to return on my own. No service. Not my expectation. The app was good and no snags, but it took me some time since I've never done before. And now, will never do again.

Sarah SJust make sure tires are working properly. If you have low air pressure in tires and have to stop continuously to put air in, it's effect the gas levels and mileage.
Jennifer LSmall area and the staff was not helpful. During transit from Boston, MA to Cincinnati, OH it seems that uhaul changed the location they wanted it dropped off! I was told that an email/voicemail or something was left for me, however I never received it. When I was approaching my drop off location (30-45 minutes away) I called the number of the drop off location on my contract to verify the address. The location did not pick up, so it was answered by Uhaul customer service. They stated that my drop off location had changed! I stated I was already enroute to the location on my contract and that I was under time constraints and could not drop off at a different location. Customer service rep tried to transfer me to the appropriate department to resolve the issue, but I was disconnected. I continued on to the drop off location on my contract where I was told that I was in the wrong location. I politely showed the gentleman my contract with his address as the drop off location and explained that I did not have to time to take the vehicle to another location. I was then told that I would have to take the vehicle to a different location or I would be charged for a wrong location drop off. I asked, "how can I be charged for a wrong location drop off when I'm dropping of at the location on the contract I signed?" and stated that I was under time constraints and needed to to leave the vehicle here and get going. As I was walking out the door, the man stated he was not Uhaul, but "xyz" storage and that Uhaul will bill me.
Shane CLocation had no employees. Inside looked like it hadn't been occupied for months. Called two numbers, one from the website and the one that was posted on their door, no answer. Hours posted were not adhered too and reviews left on location indicated that it had been this way for about a month. Several vehicles in the parking lot had flat tires and left little room to park additional cars, much less trucks and trailers.

Joshua MThis location needs much better inside lighting and should be more organized. It doesn't look professional. Also they should offer to explain your rental vehicle.
Rolf LThings were just ok. It would have been better if a representative was there when the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up and the vehicle had been better wiped down in the cab. The representatives did make it easy to get the vehicle despite not being at the location at the time of picking up and all worked out in the end. The 10' GMC truck was not a very comfortable ride though for long distance and very bouncy.
Carter HThe app is literal trash and every time I tried to upload a picture of my license to get the vehicle it was slow and hardly worked. When u tried to return the uhaul I spent 10 minutes trying to take a picture of the dash with mileage and fuel but the app would not load. Finally I was able to figure out how to do it in the browser of my phone. I ordered a hand truck and moving towels and neither were present in the truck even though I paid for them and there were no instructions on how to retrieve them.
Matthew WWhile customer service person was very helpful, the equipment was supriginly dirty. Truck windshield was a bug encrusted mess, which I had to wash off with a hose, bucket and brush. Inside of cargo van had broken ceramic pieces in it. Made me a little concerned about overall vehicle maintenance, when I was about to drive across the country. During my drive, cargo box leaked rain water inside, dampening boxes and a large rug.

Kevin CHad a scheduled pick-up time and arrived 15 minutes early, only to find out the truck was not available. Called U-haul and they directed me to another location 20 miles away. Arrived and the place was closed, but luckily was able to do mobile check-in. Received $50 for the truck not being available, but did not get compensated for having to drive another 40 miles out of my way. Was very upset about the whole experience
JOSHUA RThe U-Haul we pciked up was really close to the curb/railing/staircase that you use to walk into the building. We had to access truck from passenger door instead of driver door. Parking it a little further away from that pole would probably be easier for some people.
Erik EWhen we got there at 4:30 on Sat. Nobody was at the location. The keys that were in the lockbox were for a different truck than what was on our contract. We had to have the entire contract redone by speaking to someone over a ring doorbell and had to wait there for almost an hour while it was being redone. Also, i booked a uhaul near my house and was told none were available and had to go quite far away.

Emily HGet a new lock for the key box. It took me an hour to make the code work. The online app would not let me access my account using my password, nor would it send me a link to reset it either via text or email.
Twyla RI never saw a person, talked on a ring intercom system. I was informed that they would be open Saturday until 5pm. When we returned the truck no one answered the ring. My grandson had locked his i phone in the vehicle. The person on the ring made nasty comment and disconnected the conversation. Chase/customer service was pleasant and informed me they closed because of a family emergency. When we could clearly hear what sounded like a party. I would not recommend this location to an enemy if I had one, nor would I buy a vehicle from there. They don't need to tarnish U-haul with there shanty customer service. Very bad experience.
margretta sIt wasn't too bad. It was a convenient spot for me at the time. I ordered a dolly which I didn't get to use cause it wasn't available, and I was charged for it. The back of the truck was dirty all the way to the back, but it really was too bad for what I was putting in the truck. It's very tight trying to pull in and out of the parking spots. I think the trucks should be a little more thoroughly inspected. Location is convenient though!!!
Dwayne DFelt like I walked into someone's living room and interrupted them. Truck smelled like a combination of cigarettes and garbage. Driving 8 hrs in it was sickening if I'm being honest.
Ryan HDon't provide service through the ring doorbell. It was hard to hear the person and they sounded irritated every time we asked to repeat what they had said. I had ordered moving blankets and was told they did not have any at this location, which is very unprofessional that it does not state on the website that this site does not have moving pads. Overall this experience was poor and would not rent a truck from here again.
CRAIG CThe U-Haul literally smelled like a urinal... Not sure if someone peed in there or what but it was almost unbearable... On top of that the engine made a terrible squealing noise at around 60 mph. Was afraid the truck was going to break down the old time I was using it.

I waited 45 min for someone to arrive to provide me with the furniture dolly that I pre-paid for. Brandi the woman working there was kind and did update my reservation so I would have adequate time to return the vehicle.
Deyans JThe truck was great to use. However, the trolly I purchased and the half padding I purchased was not supplied in the truck. But I got charged for it. So I am not sure they did a great job inspects the truck fulfil the extra services you bought.
Qiwei XI picked up my truck via app. It was not loaded with my 12 furniture pads that I ordered. I came back Twice that day during their 1-5pm work schedule and no one was there. Other cars were waiting for service. No time displayed as when anyone would return. Ended up having to go to another Uhaul store which turned into another hassle. In the end, no furniture pads which in turned marked up my wooden bedroom furniture set, and I have yet to be reimbursed for the pads... worst experience $5 worth. Terrible service after already spending +$750 for moving.

Reserved a 10ft. truck with a moving dolly and furniture pads. I picked up a 15' truck with no dolly or moving pads. It very much inconvenienced my move
Rachel OU-Haul's computer system, once again, went down and forced my registration to be delayed by an hour. U-Haul should invest in upgrading their computers, as this is a problem every time.
Sandra SThis location didn't have anyone in the building. They were supposed to be open according to their business hours. There was a number posted on the door to call.. it was a disconnected phone number. I had to talk with them through the security door Bell. She said she'd be there within ten minutes. Never did come. Had no idea about me dropping off the truck. Then said to drop the key in the drop box and would call me in a hour. Didn't call me until the next day. Saying I would get my money back through a check, even though I was told I'd get it the same day I dropped the truck off. All in all it was an awful experience. Hopefully I get my $100 security deposit back.
Jade WMaking sure Front desk Lady is knowledgeable of the actual UHAUL policies and procedures. I Was mislead and misinformed and told the trailer I was renting was automatically Given four days but if I returned it earlier than my allotted four days I WOULD be REIMBURSED for the days NOT used. Disappointed by the misinformation that was major for our bank accounts. After looking over my emailed contract that I was not given a hard copy to sign or look over beforehand. The TRAILER NUMBER was not matching what was on the contract As well as my drop off location and destination was completely wrong and off By THREE HOURS. I had to Inconveniently return to the location and fix the trailer number on my contract. At the same time I had asked to change my destination location and that was not fixed. "I'm going to call, I don't know why it's not letting me change to where you wanna go" She let me leave with confidence that she was going to fix it. It was never fixed.
ARIEL JI used the mobile self-check-in, and almost every side of the vehicle had damage that was not visible in the photos, so perhaps they should be updated. There were a few small pieces of garbage in the cargo area and a pair of sunglasses left in the cab, otherwise truck was very clean. The steering wheel kind of jerks back and forth while driving and could perhaps benefit from the tires being adjusted. It would also be a good idea to include the guidelines for how much fuel to add before returning in the mobile process, rather than having to dig through a contract in my email in the middle of a busy day. The key code for the lock box was also not available in the mobile check-in and I had to go inside to speak to an associate who was not wearing a mask, which defeated the purpose of no-contact pickup. Additionally, the lock box was located on the outside of the building near the door when the mobile check-in indicated that it would be inside next to the counter.
