Hard to get a hold of staff sometimes but overall good customer service. Dirt/ gravel roadways get flooded and nasty and a lot of dirt got into my storage and covered my items and the ground

Was not there for a full month. Some money should have been given back but wasn't due to it being a prorated facility that was never mentioned in the beginning before renting.

Was very upset about this location it is an abandoned home and the storage units sit on a soft gravel that my uhaul sank into along with the large puddles everywhere including in front of my unit ...upon finishing unloading we realized the unit next to us has a broken lock and we start looking further and see multiple lock that had been cut ...I contact uhal and was basically told there is nothing they can do even it my lock is cut and my belongings stolen There is NO lighting or security what so ever at this location Looking into moving my stuff for my own peace of mind and not loose everything inown

The facility is poorly lit and a little off the beaten track but was secure enough. I didn't have many complaints until I moved out and couldn't get in touch with the office for two months. They claim all my messages and calls disappeared and refuse to refund the two months. It's best if you find a storage facility with some integrity. I would never do business with these people again.

The location of the units was perfect. I never had any concerns for the safety of my items in storage. The units themselves are well built and maintained. the price of the unit fell right into my budget and they completely meet my storage needs for the past 2 years. if i ever need a space again I will return to Lyford Uhaul. Thank you.

The previous renter had returned the trailer with damaged lighting harness. The facility didn't have any on hand so I had to drive across town to get one which added over 30 minutes to my pickup time. I was on my lunch hour and got back to work an hour late.

The units are new and very clean. Due to storage units under construction, the property is kinda sloppy. I did not like the gravel drive, especially when rainy and muddy. I do think it will be a very nice facility once they are done building and paving between the units is completed. I had a very difficult time with the unit door latch, opening, and closing required lots of force

Someone dumped junk in the unit I was supposed to rent then I had movers by the hour.....145$.....which you cost me nearly an extra 300$ plus had to find another rental unit....very upset....and I feel that you owe me. T

It was easy to check out but when I mention to agent gas was less then the receipt. And I return the truck drop off site charge the 2 gallons of gas even I was fill more then i received also when i bring the truck to my home front tire passenger side air 30 ppi so I have to go fill the air up to 80 ppi

I would highly recommend insurance for your unit due to being in a cornfield. Maybe upfront information provided by the company regarding ways to deter rodents would beneficial too! Otherwise the staff was super friendly and easy to work with. Reasonably priced too!

The access road to the storage units is full of pot holes and is unpaved so very difficult with a large truck to unload. No fencing around the perimeter, not enough lighting and no security. Staff was very friendly and made it easy to rent the unit.

Don't allow customers to rent from here. The only person in the building didn't know how to rent a truck and had to call uhaul customer service. My wife waited in the car while I was getting the truck and it wasted almost an hour of our time and we felt that we shouldn't have to pay full price for the rental because there were no trucks available near where we originally requested, so we had to pay over $40 in extra mileage charges. Absolutely terrible experience.

The owner was not there when the website said the store opened. Had to wait 15 minutes for attendant to arrive to get the truck.

The truck had a leak so while driving several hours in the rain my wood furniture was soaking up water from the bottom of the truck. And the claim filing process for damages is a joke. Hire professionals, do not ever use Uhaul.

I ordered my rental on lime. We wanted Elgin but none available, so I chose Genoa 34 miles away. But for some reason we had to go to Rockford 57es away. Kelly was amazing to contact U-Haul corporate to see about covering those extra miles we had to drive. We will definitely us Kelly for very local trips.

8/5/2016 Uhaul screwed me on a rental truck. Reservations were made over 2 weeks ago. We are scheduled to move from Rockford, IL. to Elgin IL.- on 8/6/2016. With plenty of things all ready to do that comes with moving, I get a call this morning telling me I would have to drive 75 miles to Madison, Wisconsin to pick up the truck I reserved. That is completely asinine and UNACCEPTABLE! Especially when the agreement between me and the local agent was to pick the vehicle up in Rockford, Illinois. If you are concerned about making things right, then cut me a check for the additional $82 I had to spend last minute to reserve a moving truck through Budget or deliver the truck on time. I will never ever use U-Haul Again after this fiasco.
