My 2013 Nissan Frontier does not have a factory towing package. Is the product #14488 trailer wiring harness the correct harness to use in this application. When attached correctly all trailer lights work except the brake lights. Do I need a relay adapter or something like that.

My 2013 Nissan Frontier does not have a factory towing package. Is the product #14488 trailer wiring harness the correct harness to use in this application. When attached correctly all trailer lights work except the brake lights. Do I need a relay adapter or something like that.

The 14488 universal 4-flat wire harness is designed for vehicles equipped with the two wire tail light system or in your case the two wire OEM tow package system located on the driver side frame behind the rear bumper.

Thanks for the hitch feedback! 14488 does not include vehicle specific instructions, however, your vehicle should be equipped with a tow harness located behind the rear bumper.

Simply match the colors from your tow harness to the 4-flat and attach with the supplied splice connectors. Thanks for asking!
