The price and quality of this tank seem solid. I would've left a five star review except there was no mention on the website and the image was at the wrong angle for me to know that it lacks the quick connect for a standard propane application (grill, etc). Since there doesn't seem to be an adapter at your website, I have had to buy one on Amazon that didn't show up then another it is now lost in the mail. Not getting what I thought originally and now not being able to get a converter has ruined my plans.

Worked out very well. This tank holds 50 lbs propane in order to get around the DOT rules requiring 40 lb and under tanks to have an OPD valve. This tank holds a little more propane, and is as easy to transport and move around as a full 40 lb tank. Also has a wide foot, just like a 100 lb tank, making it more stable. Despite the answer on the question site here, this tank uses a standard POL valve, and definitely not a OPD valve. Sticker on the tank itself confirms this. A good deal this is, about $50 less than the 40 lb Worthington, same quality same manufacturer, and works fine.

Will this work on a 30,000 but wall heater? and is the valve on the tank the same as on a 20lb bbq tank?

–Brad 12/6/2022 10:01:31 AM

This has a similar valve as the 20# bbq tank and will operate like in the same manner. I recommend contacting the manufacturer of the water heater to determine if this this is a operationally safe product partnering.

I'm having problems getting correct size fittings for my 2 tanks i ordered from uhaul. Steel 43 pounds want to use for propane generator. Want to use a dual tank setup. Ordered OLD fittings, but no work.

Hey, Bob! You will need to use a POL fitting to screw on the internal threads of the service valve. I hope that is helpful!
