I do wish this was the quality of the U-Haul appliance dolly you can rent at a U-Haul store...it is not. That said, it is better than anything I could find for sale anywhere else (Harbor Freight, Lowes, etc).

For a one-way move (meaning you are renting the dolly from your starting destination and returning it to a different center at your final destination) the dolly rental is a flat fee of $12 for the entire duration of your move. Hi, Ann! The hand truck that is rented out at U-Haul Centers is our Utility Dolly. That particular dolly can be purchased or rented at any U-Haul center, whereas our appliance truck can only be purchased online and cannot be rented.

as far as differences between the two, the appliance truck can carry up to 800 pounds and the utility dolly carries 600. If you just need a dolly for when you're moving, renting the utility dolly is ideal (you can rent this dolly alongside any U-Haul truck reservation or by contacting a U-Haul Center near you). If you need an appliance truck for long-term or daily use, then purchasing the appliance truck would be the best choice. I hope that is helpful!

Our appliance dolly can be used to move furniture, depending on the size.

It's main function is to move items like a dryer by securing the strap around the item, keeping it attached to the dolly. Some furniture may be too large for the strap to fit properly.

We have many moving tools here. I recommend a furniture dolly, ShoulderDolly or Forearm Forklift for larger pieces of furniture.

For a one-way move (meaning you are renting the dolly from your starting destination and returning it to a different center at your final destination) the dolly rental is a flat fee of $12 for the entire duration of your move. Hi, Ann! The hand truck that is rented out at U-Haul Centers is our Utility Dolly. That particular dolly can be purchased or rented at any U-Haul center, whereas our appliance truck can only be purchased online and cannot be rented.

as far as differences between the two, the appliance truck can carry up to 800 pounds and the utility dolly carries 600. If you just need a dolly for when you're moving, renting the utility dolly is ideal (you can rent this dolly alongside any U-Haul truck reservation or by contacting a U-Haul Center near you). If you need an appliance truck for long-term or daily use, then purchasing the appliance truck would be the best choice. I hope that is helpful!

Our appliance dolly can be used to move furniture, depending on the size.

It's main function is to move items like a dryer by securing the strap around the item, keeping it attached to the dolly. Some furniture may be too large for the strap to fit properly.

We have many moving tools here. I recommend a furniture dolly, ShoulderDolly or Forearm Forklift for larger pieces of furniture.
