• Start time for the job was supposed to be at 1000am. This was the agreed upon start time with owner. The timeliness of their arrival was important I had movers lined up at the destination to unload the truck and needed to depart on time. I Received a call at 937 from an employ that he had he had to go pickup a co-worker whose car was broken down. He also informed me that the original scheduled employee had called in sick and he was notified to take my job. Employees said that they would be about 20 minutes late at 1020a. Received another call at 1030 that new time of arrival would be 1100. Final phone call at 1100a that an 1130a arrival time is now in play. By the time the pair of movers arrived I had all but three heavy pieces loaded and staged. It took them 20 minutes to load those pieces but no adjustment to rate for less work needed due to delay of arrival. I would not recommend this business and would not select them again given the many other choices available.

• We've used River City Services twice and highly recommend their moving team. When a tropical storm forced us to cancel our original moving date, they kindly were able to accommodate us the following day when the weather cleared. They've always taken excellent care of our belongings, including heavy antique furniture. Highly recommend!

• Movers were friendly and worked hard for the allotted time. Unfortunately, they created a fair number of scratches and dents in the floors, walls, and door frames. When I asked that these be addressed, someone came and placed a single layer of spackling, then never returned to sand and paint the wall. I ended up having to do it myself which is disappointing.

• Daniel contacted me immediately after receiving my reservation and confirmed all the information. He followed up with me the morning of the reservation to confirm my ETA. From the time that they were on site, they were professional and organized. They were courteous and worked cleanly and were very respectful of our things as well as ensuring that the boxes went into the proper rooms. Unfortunately, our elevators were a little bit slow, so it took them a couple of hours more than I originally booked. Daniel called me to get my confirmation that I wanted the team to continue to proceed at the hourly rate that I had booked. They did not complain once about going over by 2 hours. It was totally worth it. I recommend them!

• We hired helpers to help us load our POD for a move from VA to LA. We warned the movers that they would need to be on 'Tetris' mode to get everything in there! Two movers and three hours later and that POD was packed! They did a fantastic job and were very pleasant young men.
