• Dave called me the day after I made the reservation online, and asked questions to understand what needed to be moved and even gave advice regarding the size of truck we should get and other considerations. Our moving day was snowy and wet, but the guys made the best of it and didn't complain. They even came prepared with a shovel, ice melt, and other related supplies. They worked hard and continuously the full time. And they did a masterful job of packing the truck! Would definitely hire them again.

• Movers were great! Dave was really good with communication before hand and during the move. They worked really hard and we appreciate all the energy and effort they put into moving us in to our new place. The only thing we disliked was the comment about our living situation. He was asking where things went and assumed we were roommates versus a queer couple. It’s a small thing but microaggressions add up when you’re a queer person. It gets exhausting. And we felt it was inappropriate for the movers to comment on our living arrangement and our relationship at all. Just don’t assume everyone on the planet is heterosexual. If you do, please keep it to yourself. It gets really offensive and exhausting to constantly have your personal relationship commented on constantly. That’s all. The move itself was good. They got it all done and put things where we asked and were considerate of our property. Just please remember to be considerate of others. Thank you.

• Dave and Jeff were on time, professional and hardworking for this move. They were enjoyable to work with and provided excellent recommendations for the packing of the truck and moving of furniture and items from my condo. When I say hardworking I mean they worked their butts off going up and down three flights of stairs. They worked very well as a team and we had excellent conversations throughout the move. When I got to my storage unit to unpack the truck it was so easy because of the care and expertise they showed. I would 100 percent recommend Dave's Moving Service to anyone needing help moving.

• So very impressed with Dave and Jeff. We moved out from the 3rd floor and into 2nd flor with a loft with spiral staircase; they were AMAZING. The couch that wouldn’t fit through the hall was hoisted 2 stories!. So happy with them. No stress moving! Reliable, communicative and professional.

• I scheduled them for 5-7 pm but and unable to get cell service while traveling. Since they couldn't reach me by phone, they left. When I contacted Dave, he was very abrupt, rude and yelling. It took less than 1 hour to load the truck and it would have been a very easy unload for them. I had already committed to paying them 2 hours and would have tipped very well. No one wins if a business owner is rude.

  Actually, we are delighted to stretch wrap your furniture. But she only paid for 2 hours in advance to load a 26' truck. Not enough time. And wrapping pads takes much longer than simply draping them.

• The crew worked efficiently to load Old Dominion Household trailer. Used moving blankets, but upholstered furniture was damaged; 7 boxes -- crushed; boxes labeled FRAGILE were under heavy boxes.

  Old Dominion trailers are very tall, but they charge by linear foot, so we stack to the top. If there's not enough furniture for base, we stack boxes floor to ceiling. Boxes on bottom can get crushed.

  I am not surprised things were damaged. Greg was moving from Colorado to Texas and chose not to rent any furniture pads. We will load your truck with no pads, but I wouldn't recommend it.

  This move went off without a hitch. The house was under construction and we were able to negotiate around all the equipment and workers. No damage, got done early. I have no idea why she was unhappy.

  My helper took a couple smoke breaks, outside, by the truck. We also loaded and unloaded TWO FULL 17-FOOT TRUCKLOADS, with zero damage, in 5 hours! Evidently though, that smoking was just outrageous.

• BEWARE! Site shows movers available at all times even if they aren't. I canceled my order but Movinghelp wouldn't refund the $6 handling fee unless I wrote this stupid review. Dave seems nice, though.

  I have the ability to block out entire days, but not parts of a day. So, if I have a two- or three-hour window open, I do not block the day, but I am unavailable for a four- or five-hour job.
