Went to p.u. Truck on assigned date, (12/26) no one there, 20 minutes or so past 10:00 A.M employee showed up stated he was closed. Confused (I had confirmation) I asked is truck here, he said yes. I asked ifI could get truck he said no that he was closed. Frustrated I contacted main store in Pueblo, he gave me Field Rep to call. After another 30 mintes or so employee came back waved me into the office & gave me the truck. Started down the road turned heater on, dust & dirt blew out of the vents filling the cab & covering me. The truck was covered in dirt & sand. Should have returned the truck but I had to pack. Took me over a 1/2 hour to clean the truck & windshield. Contacted Customer Service with the issue, he said he would giveme a 20% reimbursement. Its now January 8th and I have yet to receive. I have pictures of the inside of the truck. Moving is tough enough then to have to go through this. More then frustrating!! I will add the Uhaul company in Pueblo seemed reasonable, the dispatch in Colorado City needs attention. Bob McLin.

i was supposed to pick up the truck in Pueblo, CO. The NIGHT before I was scheduled to get the truck I was notified that I would have to pick it up in Colorado City which is about 27 miles south of Pueblo. I had people scheduled to help load the truck but because of the change some of the people had to leave causing a delay in my departure. I had to self check out because the facility where I was to pick up the truck was closed which resulted in further delay. I am very unhappy with my U-Haul experience.

There was no barcode to scan for drop off and there was no way to ensure that the trailer would still be there in the morning. There was no additional copy of the rental agreement as none was given and no contact number that had a business answering message that told you that this location was in fact a business.

This location is used for another business as well and it has the customary fodder inside the building associated with the other business, however the yard area for the trucks and trailers was as clean as an outdoor yard can be!

When a person reserves a unit they expect it to be there and it was not, I had to travel 200 miles out of my way to pick this trailer up. I was given a small discount but that did not even cover the fuel, let alone the inconvenience. This was a very disappointing experience and I dont believe anybody at U-haul cares and I'm sure this is last I will hear about this.

The check-in process through the app was awful. The apps GPS didn't have the correct location, the barcode to scan was not where the app said it would be, and I had to retake pictures of everything because the app apparently wants super close up pictures but there were no instructions to say that. The truck was fine but the pick-up process was awful.

The truck I rented in Colorado City, the windshield was filthy dirty, and the passenger side of the cab the floor was full of dried mud. Other than that the track was great. Arrived at 8:00 as contract stated. Didn't get to leave until after 10 o'clock! Could not get the "code" to the box containing the keys to the truck. Called U-Haul twice and had to re-enter all my data again. Asked the owner if he could get the keys and he said no! He stated that the box was under U-hauls control. Question; how do the keys get into the box? Does someone from U-haul drive out to the site and put them in? Yea, I didn't think so. I have used U-haul many times, but never again.

Monday, Aug 10th I picked up the truck and car transporter. I had scheduled to pick them up in Pueblo, 90 minutes north, but U-Haul changed the location at the last minute and had me picking them up 25 miles south of Pueblo in Colorado City. I didn't like that because the original spot was a real U-Haul place and the new place was just an industrial yard of some sort, run by a Marine-looking young guy whose wife ran the U-Haul franchise and she wasn't there and he was grumpy about having to take on her duties on a Monday morning. I'd ordered 4 dozen moving blankets and they didn't have that. They had 6 blankets. He suggested I drive up to Pueblo to get more. Nice. Then the U-Haul guy pointed out how to attach the car trailer to the truck, but wouldn't demonstrate because of "insurance reasons." It was already hooked up, so I drove my car up onto the trailer and the hitch fell off the truck and buried itself in the dirt. Not only that, the trailer fender was in the way of my front door so I couldn't open the car door when it was up on the trailer. I had to wriggle out the window to go tell the U-Haul guy what had happened. He cranked the trailer tongue back up by hand and hooked it to the truck and told me my car door was too low to clear the fender and that other cars had higher doors. I thought, "Shenanigans!", but was operating sort of in a state of shock about the whole move, so I didn't say anything and instead drove 65 miles back home to the the mountains with my window open. I towed it up the last mile-long dirt road to my condo with the window down and collected all kinds of dust inside. I was grumpy about that so the minute I got home, I got on the internet to your U-Haul website to complain and somehow found a video that showed how I could disconnect and lower the car trailer fender out of the way and then any car door would clear the tires underneath. It would have been so easy if the guy had just shown me how. I wasn't happy about any of that, but at least I didn't have to tape a flappy garbage bag over the window and drive 900 miles to Arkansas that way, hoping for fair weather. One other thing: i pointed out some scars of the truck and the U-Haul guy said "Don't worry about that - you have complete insurance and could total the truck and you're covered." Do you like your insurance and equipment discussed that way?

U-Haul sent me on a 3 hour drive to pick up the 20 foot truck. The appliance dolly was not there, so I had to call around to find one. When I found one it was at the location I requested to pick up the truck to start with. I was informed that they not only had the dolly but the truck as well. They also had the 26 foot truck I needed so I had to rent it a day early so as to insure I had both of the trucks I needed. By the time I was finished with the renting of the trucks and dolly I was unable to load anything that day and I didn't get back home till after eleven that night. because of having to find someone to ferry me back and forth to pick up both trucks. I was very disappointed with the rental!

Bought a ball and hitch from your Lakeland, FL location before leaving. The ball needed to be attached to the hitch and the service department did this for me. At the end of my drive to Colorado I discovered the ball had not been torched down properly and had nearly come off the hitch! There was less than half an inch of threads before it would have released from the hitch. Very alarming since I had gone over a steep mountain pass at the end of the trip with live animals in my trailer. I am hoping this is addressed so that no one losses their life over such a critical issue. I can provide the store where this occurred once I unpack everything and gain access to the receipt.

We waited an hour for someone who knew how to rent out the equipment. When we tried to return the equipment at our destination, they tried to charge us an extra $160 because our rental agent set up the rental incorrectly, forcing us to drive back to his location and return our equipment there or pay extra.
