The trailer I rented did not fit the vehicle for which is was intended. The UHaul website indicated it would fit a Tesla M3, but the stopping plates were too high for the front bumper to pass over. Therefore, I had to return the trailer to a different location than intended and have requested a full refund for this inconvenience.

Annie H.Needs more signs pointing to where the equipment return is. I initially pulled into the parking lot on the opposite side of the building to where the dedicated equipment return was. From that angle, I couldn't see the dedicated equipment return spot and I didn't see any signs pointing to it so I wasn't sure where to leave my equipment. it was a tight parking lot otherwise so there was nowhere for me to leave a 15 foot truck with a trailer attached. my wife had to get out of the car and walk around to find the equipment return area.

The locations used were fine, and the vehicle functioned well, but size up, and I wish U-Haul would adjust the recommendations because it caused so much stress

John B.When I initially went in to reserve the truck, the staff was very friendly and helped explain everything to me, which I appreciated. The truck was very damaged when I picked it up. I felt uncomfortable taking such a beat up truck, but had no other option. It was also pretty dirty, but that wasn't too bad. The truck stalled repeatedly while I had it for 48 hours. It probably stalled 15-20 times. It also lurched/jumped forward inexplicably, which caused the fragile contents to shift around inside the truck, unfortunately. There was also a pack of boxes left in the back of the truck, which got in my way; I was also afraid I'd be charged for the boxes. Lastly, upon dropping off the truck there wasn't much communication. The location seemed understaffed and the employee seemed overwhelmed. I handed him the keys and he said I was all set, without verifying mileage, condition, etc. I wasn't very comfortable but left anyway.

Jordain installed the hitch ball for my wife when she stopped in a couple days before to buy the ball, which I did not expect him to do. A big help as otherwise I was going to have to buy a large socket to get the ball installed. Thanks team.

Douglas E.It was snowing and the truck I rented had low-tread summer tires! It was a nightmare to drive. I got stuck countless times but fortunately no crashes and no one hurt. It took me 3hrs to drive 20 miles. This is completely unacceptable and downright dangerous. All trucks should have all-season tires at a minimum.

I had showed up prior and asked to change cards on file they said no problem and that it was done, but the day I go to return it this incompetent worker clearly disregarded the notes on file and charged the wrong card not long after they clocked in. When I showed up he tried telling me charged the replacement card but infact charged the old card on file causing financial duress for the parties. When I asked to have the charge refunded and then charged onto the new card he started cursing at me telling me he's unable to do that. Overall the worst customer service I've had ever. The guy needs to either be retrained or fired. The former is sufficient.

Stephen D.So the only reason I rated it poor was because I wasn't informed about 5 dollar safe ride/trip to cover towing. I was also not told my insurance and/or triple a does not touch U-Hauls. I knew there was a possibility I may get stuck as I had to pull up on grass to the back door to unload the pool table I bought. I got stuck and 415 dollars later I got a basic winch for two feet to get me back out. It was the guys first day on the job so mistakes happen. I spoke with Bryant and I really like him, he's on top of his stuff and a very good manager. He offered to go 50/50 with me on the price of the winch. I sincerely appreciate that, but I wish I would have known I needed to pay 5 bucks to cover towing and/or been told insurance and triple a won't touch U-Haul and I would have gladly paid it. I really don't think I should have to pay when I wasn't even given the option of taking safe trip/ride (or whatever it's called to cover roadside. Again not blaming someone who's was on the job for one day, but I don't think it's fair I wasn't informed of this stuff.

Steven H.I've been to this location before with good results, but the "A" crew was absent this time. Check in was fine, until I was given contract and keys, and told the van was out front. I go out front, neither of the two vans were the right one. I go back inside and am told it's one of the ones on the side of the building. The employee goes out and points to the line of vans. The one in front, which is the only one accessible, is not the right one. I ask if someone is going to move the other vans so I can get to mine and was asked to come back inside and they'll assign another van. I'm given another key, but no new contract. I ask for new contract and they print it for me. I get the right van and pull it into the light for inspection. Lots of small dents, dings, and scratches. I go back in and ask where they document the damage. I'm told to just take photos. Only other complaint about the van was a poor air seal around the driver door/window. The wind noise was about the same as if the window was open. After hours drop off was frustrating, but I'll take the blame on that due to unfamiliarity with the online drop off process.
Jason K.Survey should have a middle answer that spans yes or no- equipment was clean enough, if not pretty & i would be more likely to recommend the Williston site just on cleanliness & appeal. This facility is in urgent need of repair. The building is old & not well maintained. Trucks were clean enough but needed minor repairs. This site is in Vermont's largest & richest city but looks like it belongs in a rundown used to be. Uhaul should spend a bit of $ & do some repair to the building before it falls down on it's own. Overall experience was fine, employees were good, the site just needs some love.
Justin S.It was convenient to be able to rent a Uhual day of/next day, and the employee at the front desk was nice enough. What was inconvenient was: 1. Given a truck with only 1/4 of a tank of gas and having to fill it up on my way to the moving project. 2. Getting to my first destination and finding out the roll-up door was frozen shut. I had to return to the Uhual location to have an employee spray the door and pry it open with a pry bar. I was also charged for these extra miles, which put me just barely over my estimated trip miles (ended with 103 and I had estimated 100 miles). 3. There was a dolly in the truck taking up space that I would've had to break a plastic seal on to use and would have been charged for, even though I had declined all of the additional options in my reservation. 4. I had initially called the roadside assistance option when I thought the roll-up door was jammed and didn't realize it was frozen. The advice I was given was to slam my shoulder/body against the door when I was trying to open it…. Which is horrible, unprofessional advice. 5. There is something funky going on with the online Uhual reservations where employees have trouble finding the reservation. Please have employees check for frozen doors during the winter months before renting out a truck. It was inconvenient and frustrating having to return to the location this morning and losing progress & time that I had already paid for.

joshua P.Seats broken, handle for window broken, gas less than was noted when I got in, took forever to pick up, was explained to me that basically I was being overcharged because I should have called a different location that had more trucks. How I was supposed to know that ahead of time I have no idea. Was told Williston U-Haul charges a different (less)amount for the same exact truck ..the people are nice that work here but for reasons above.. terrible experience.cost 800. To use a 10'van for two days.only found this out at pickup at 7am when I had no choice but t do it.. a time sensitive situation.. no one at U-Haul when I made the reservation told me it would be twice what I paid the last time I drove it to the same place (when I booked online). Basically, Burlington area people.. go to Williston for all your rental needs!
