1) The trailer had not been swept out. 2) despite bringing back during hours, the person who checked me in said they would do it electronically and send an email receipt. They did not and I had to waste time getting Uhaul to send me a receipt due to his incompetence. I was warned not to return it over night because of employee's not checking on trailers in the morning. So I made sure to return during open hours and it still happened. Maybe just a one off, maybe not. A sign of the times....

The guy that help hook up found right tail light hanging by the wires, he pushed it back in and said good to go, I told him it needs tape or new rivets, he said nope good to go. About a hour from there taillight was hanging from one wire, called them up and requested road service, I denied as who knows how long that will take, wish I had my tools with!!

Awesome experience. U Box arrived early and delivered earlier than scheduled which is what we were hoping for. Delivery driver was so nice. We didn't have much in it and it took less than 5-10 minutes to unload she waited and was so nice and took the box right away. Will highly recommend to others and will use again ourselves. Thank you for such quality service

Everything was a mess. They did not have anything available when we came to pick up. Had to call and change everything which took an hour. They couldn't get us all of the things we rented so everything got changed. Dropping it off was also a long an tedious hassle.

the initial truck I was assigned was buried under snow and frozen solid. When I called support since I was after hours I was given a smaller truck than I had initially asked for, and had to clean snow off of it myself which took me over 30 minutes. Worst experience with uhaul I have ever had. I was given $20 back for the equipment fee when I paid over $80 for the uhaul. What a slap in the face, and I never got an apology.

When I picked up the item it was 745pm and the store closes at 8. The workers were not happy to help me with my reservation. The manager then told me to return the item where I picked it up in the back of the location when I get back. So next day after using it I brought it back and left it in the back. When I went into the location to finish the return the lady at the counter was very rude. I gave her my paper work and told her that I left it in the back because that is what I was told to do. She then just sat there and looked at me in Discussed. She then told me that she did have time to do the return and she would get to it later. Then said nothing else does not hand me my paper work or tell me have a good day or anything to indicate that our interaction was done. I finally said so that's it. She then nodded and I asked for my paperwork bag. She, she was not happy that I was still talking to her So I grabbed my paper and left. I then called customer service 3 hours later, approximately approximately 30 minutes before the time I was supposed to return the item to Make sure that I was not going to be charged for another day. They put notes in my account stating that I had called and that I had to return the item at 3:30 PM. Approximately four hours before The return deadline. Fast forward 2 days I finally get an email stating the return has been done. And of course I checked my bank account and they had charged for 3 days Instead of just the one. I then had to call customer service again and waste More time to have my 2 days returned to me. Overall experience is that the employees do not want their job at this location. Horrible customer service and made me feel like I should have picked a different location or maybe just not use u haul at all.

This was really bad. We were supposed to be able to do a contactless pick up at 8am. The truck was not available. Then we had to wait until the store opened and didn't leave with the truck until 10am. The truck we were given was totally unsafe to drive (and we own a trucking company and Damon holds a Class A CDL so we understand the mechanical issues). The exhaust leaked into the cab and the tirod was faulty. We had no time on our scheduled move or we wouldn't have driven down the road with it. We also had to wait in line and redo our contract though I had completed all the information ahead of time. It's the best location for me and the staff was kind but it was a poor, poor experience. We should not have had to pay full price because we didn't get the value of the full price.

This entire store needs to be retrained on customer service. First, I was rented a truck that had several service lights on. While moving on a rainy day, one week postpartum, the worse thing is to have a truck that needs a front end alignment. Nothing worse than trying to drive a big truck with mechanical issues. When returning the truck, the manager Alyssa was very rude and short when we brought the issues to her. She told me to go inside and they would handle it and the front desk told me to speak with- not team oriented at this location. After having to go refuel the truck, again I had to wait for truck to be inspected for the second time. Still not addressing mechanical issues. Finally another worker went to inspect the truck- taking very long. When approaching the lady, who seemed to be playing on her phone, to ask what was taking so long, she immediately locked the door and did not provide a response. The mechanical issues were still not addressed or acknowledged before I left this location. I would not use this location or company again due to the terrible experience.

I had made a reservation for pickup weeks ahead of time for a vehicle at the Waukesha Les Paul location. The night before the day of my reservation I was told the original pickup location didn't have any trucks for me and I needed to pick it up from this location instead. It appears as if every Uhaul in the area diverted pickups to this location as I ended up waiting over an hour in line to pick up the vehicle. I was then told I would not be refunded the extra gas required to get the truck from the new location, to the original pick up location as that is where all of my belongings were being stored. They had two individuals working this day, one of them was trying to man two computers at the same time, causing her to miss things and delay everyone even more. The other person was operating the third computer until she disappeared for almost 30 minutes to hook up a trailer. If your schedule shows that you have this many pickups for a weekend morning, maybe the manager and owner need to step up and show up to help out their employee's.

This is the first time I have had a complaint about the vehicle. All the windows were frozen over with thick ice. The attendant said she would give me a scraper if I wanted. I had to wait five minutes for the windows to thaw enough so I could clear the ice and drive safely.

No gas in truck no washer fluid wiper blade broke no air in tires first truck they wanted us to take was buried in a snow bank and the windows was not cleaned we started to clean them and they came out and said they gave us the wrong truck that's when we got the one that was all messed up and we had to go 1 hour and 45 minutes so we had to stop every so often to put snow on windshield to clean the salt off

Initially, the woman on the phone was great and explained finishing the process on the app. The app experience was horrible. Maybe I'm older or not as tech savvy but I was nearly ready to cancel the entire process. It took my 1.5 hours to complete the registration and payment process. Once we got to the unit everything was fine. Uhaul, this app is a disappointment. I should have been able to finish the process with the first lady ON THE PHONE.

I received the most courteous service. The employees worked well together. Many times I’ve experienced where ONÈ employee needs assistance but another isn’t will to help. What I experienced was harmony. I believe a business will prosper if the environment internally runs smooth. Customers pick up on the disconnect and may not be as enthusiastic about recommending this Uhaul establishment. I would recommend it highly and would continue using the service as needed. I called and made a reservation for a 10x15x8 with a garage door to store palleted items with a pallet Jack. I confirmed this a week ahead of time and when I checked in there was only a unit with a regular door. It made me change plans after I already had the load on a truck to move in, there were no more units that size available, so I went to another storage company. That company only .3 miles away had bigger units, and cheaper storage. Thanks to terrible customer reps I ended up getting a better deal because I was originally going to rent 2 units from Uhaul. However I will say the woman working the business that day was very apologetic and it was not her who made the mistake. Thanks for helping me save money

I was disappointed at the amount that they charged me due to the fact that I returned it without taking the photograph of the gauge, with returning the truck due to the fact that they didn’t tell me I needed to take a picture of this or whatever and so when I returned it ahead of schedule, I was still charge for the 24 hours plus some! so with that being said, I was not too happy. The gas wasn’t a problem. Because, the gas was the same amount that was use.

I had a direct move from Kentucky and was supposed to get a free month of storage. My reservation I had at another uhaul location was not available because they over booked. After driving 8 hours and being rebooked across town I was told they weren't going to honor it. After multiple phone calls with uhaul and the facility from which I was hung up on and talked to rudely I still haven't gotten a refund

Reserved a 1-way trailer to convey storage contents to St.Paul. After I paid, & with no call, U-Haul CANCELLED my reservation; & informed me that the trailer I reserved the week before was their LAST for 1-way use. U-Haul staff then informed me that I had NO RECOURSE. Only offera “local trailer”- I’d have to drive back fr St.Paul- I acquiesced-desperate. Storage was fine-but the rest is unacceptable.

After completing our move with the U-Haul truck we were advised that we could store the items at U-Haul for one month at no charge. This was extremely convenient as we were not able to move into the new home until mid July.

I’m really annoyed that U-Haul’s policy is even if you have a reservation, storage units are first come, first serve. I had a reservation for a unit that I placed a few weeks ago and when I arrived I was told that it was given away. I then had to pay quite a bit more for a larger unit because it was the only unit available. The customer service was good and the unit was good, low stars are due to cooperate’s new policy.

Not a well run Uhaul. Several issues with setting up the storage unit and then after we moved out we got a letter stating our rent was overdue. Then I could not reach anyone to straighten it out online or over the phone. Had to go back in and wait 20 minutes to speak to a manager. Finally got it straightened out. Stressful.

Truly never had such a horrible experience. Truck was to be picked up at 11 am. Got there. No truck they say. I ask why. no answer. Asked about other trucks parked. Said waiting on other customers. so we tried to get another truck but they wouldn't comply. I had a reservation for my truck at 11 am. Well finally 1pm Finally got a truck. Played phone tag with the u-haul place. at one point they cancelled my reservation. While I'm still waiting for a truck. I have never been so frustrated in all my life. I have people helping me move and all they had to do was wait? The man at west allis u-haul was nasty. I will never recommend u-haul again.

My storage unit got messed up twice! They said system errors. Then, I had a very poor experience with renting a uhaul. I didn't receive any indication that I needed to be there within 15mins of my pick up time. I was stuck with a uhaul that was 6' shorter and caused me to make 2 trips to move! Which equated for more mileage! They never reimbursed me for that extra mileage! That same day, I went in to pick up the uhaul, I was upset about the cancelation. I know I wasn't disrespectful to the lady, however, her husband, the GM Jose, embarrassed me in front of a line of people by yelling at me and threatening me!! I would hope this company would know having a husband and wife work together at a location can cause this exact issue to happen when things don't go exactly right. This location has made several mistakes and never once took ownership of there mishandling of my storage unit and rental issue. They just blamed the system. When you are a GM of a location, you need to conduct yourself that way! Jose definitely failed at that and caused a scene for no reason! He is a poor example of a leader. No leader should have an outburst like he did!! Very unprofessional!!

The employees at the location of the storage facility were helpful but I had to take a day off of work to drive there in person because no one ever picked up the phone at the location. Every time I called I was rerouted to an offsite customer service rep that would state they couldn't help me because they didn't have access to the accounts at a different location. Tried chatting online and was also told that only a rep at the exact location could help. Leaving messages didn't help either. I would get a voicemail with the general number to call back and no one would pick up again. Tried calling corporate and would sit on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time and then have the same experience. While the face to face employees were helpful, the experience I had moving was horrible with this company. I had to go between 3 locations to get a truck and storage facility and then the size that I ordered wasn't available even though I had paid for it online with a credit card already. Miscommunication from the company only created more issues with trying to relocate out of the area. I have driven over 200 miles extra to deal with issues from moving and using the storage facility. Horrible experience.

My experience was fine with the staff working at the time but I was highly frustrated with the fact thtmat the 10 by 15 I had reserved had been rented to someone else. I needed this size and was not permitted to go bigger in size even though this was not my fault. Smaller didnt really work for what i needed.

Pick up was a nightmare. Only one desk clerk and line was out the door. Should be a way to facilitate picking up if you have a reservation. I get the covid angle but standing in line for over an hour is BS. Why register a pickup time if it's not honored?

I rented a unit online that would be large enough for the contents of a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the facility, I was told I'd need take a cart back-and-forth to fill the unit, which I'd never had happen before. I ended up having to rent a different kind of unit I could drive up to. I reiterated that I had furniture and boxes from a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the unit, it was only big enough for a few boxes. I had to go back to the office to get a unit that was the size I requested.

I feel that the prices are very high. The facility hours could be an extra hour. There is never enough staff always have to wait. I ran late four important reason and when I got to the facility I wanted to make sure that I could check out before the staff left. I think they should have oh way that they can access the key and let you be able to still use it since technically it is my last day until at least 10 or 11 because technically it still is my day instead I was locked out from being able to leave and the gentleman inside the desk was not helpful to my friend who went to tell him to let us out. Luckily there was a another employee that was outside other facility that was able to access and help us leave but we still had a couple big things to pick up and we had to leave it outside of the gate because of not being able to still have access. I don't think staff should have to be there to make sure that the unit is clean if I'm paying . They should be able to clean it out the next day that should be their job. We also rented a truck at one point and it is really misleading when they say $19 and some cents for a truck but by the time you include the miles and the hassle of bringing back the truck it was not a quick drop off there is a procedure and very time-consuming I feel that it is very expensive. I guess in a time of need and no one else has a truck a person has to be convinced that this was going to be an expensive rental and realize that they have to close their eyes about the expense of the truck. This is my opinion.
