Your representative had an attitude and seemed unhappy to provide me with service. This was after going to another location to pick up a trailer which the app said you had. But did not. Uhaul has the monopoly on trailer rentals, so there are not alternative. But if I needed to rent a truck in the future, I would shop around and avoid this location.

Truck #2257, 26’, is down right dangerous!! I have written this truck up every time I’ve had it and nothing ever gets done to fix it. It has been written up by most of the people who have driven it recently. The truck shudders and shakes from 20 mph all by he way up to 70. It pulls right and will rattle your entire body!! The steering wheel vibrates violently both up and down and side to side. This truck needs to be taken out of service before someone gets really hurt. I don’t know what your maintenance people are looking at, all they have to do is drive it. If anyone wants to talk to me about this you can call me at (919) 523-6502. Someone needs to get off their duff and take this truck out of service. Unfortunately I’ve had to drive this piece of junk several times. No more!!!!

All was great except in the beginning I signed up for auto pay and for months in a row I was told I was late on the payment - despite having signed up for auto pay online. When I brought this up they said they had no way to do auto pay for the unit and that’s why it was charging me late fees. That was annoying seeing as - why would you let me sign up for auto pay online if I can’t actually use autopay? Other than that the unit was great, clean, and used well.

Hire more kind workers. Two employees one claim to be a manager and never stated her name not the other blonde lady. The customer service was horrible and the employees were very rude. As soon as I pulled in the lot barley in park I as bombarded by the employee who failed to identify herself which put both of our lives in danger. She began to take pictures before I could even step out the van to take a look around.Was charged an additional cleaning fee for a drip of water on the floor and stated the van was not in the same condition when I picked it up. These woman acting like men were very rude

My reservation was to be 10:00 to 2:00 when I went to pick up the truck the woman at the counter told me I had the truck only to 12:00. I told the woman that isn’t right I had till 2:00 and all she said was well I’m seeing 12:00 return and when she saw thst I was upset that now all I has was 2 hrs instead off correcting the issue she proceeded to lead me down an argument. During the disagreement I asked well what happens if I can’t get back by 12:00 she rudely said we’ll you will have to pay the next persons reservation, I said I’m not paying for someone else she then again rudely said “ I don’t think I’m going to let you have this truck” so I had no choice but to take the truck for 2 hrs. My wife and I had to rush like maniacs to complete our move. Never again will I use u-haul😞

This U-haul location was great. I reserved a storage unit there which was very convenient and turned in my 26' rental truck. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the lot is large which makes it easy to maneuver large trucks around for turn-in and getting to the storage units. I'll definitely use them in the future.

Excellent experience with U-Haul. I had a Ubox dropped off & packed 8 months ago awaiting my next move. It was stored and the team @ Wake Forest dropped it off so I could unpack it. Great communication with calls & texts and the timing was what they told me. Highly reccomend U-haul and will use them for my next move.

For checking in the representative that assisted us was Extremely Rude and unprofessional and for checking out it was a little better but slow in determining what our final charges were and took days to clear the bank for pending charges that was added before returning the truck. Plus trying to use the app for returning the vehicle after hours was difficult that we left the truck and returned the keys the next morning. Christine was the rep for checking in very dissatisfied with her attitude 1st thing that morning.

Customer service was not provided well. The agent didn’t explain things and was kind of on the rude side. The truck was dirty and damaged. When I went to return the truck it’s a sign that says stay in the equipment and someone will be out to assist. Well that never happened. I had to go inside after waiting 20 minutes in the truck for help. Only for them to say leave the keys in the truck and you can go. So this group of people need to work on customer service and on how to communicate with the customers. Without customers you have no business.

Trailer was missing bolt on the hitch and another bolt was loose. It obviously was not checked before rental. I trailered it some 1400 miles and it towed ok, but the wiring harness became damaged (fixed by myself) and I also installed a bolt to replace the missing one and tightened the loose one.

Terrible communication. The staff booked another customer in my rental during the alotted time I paid for. Called and asked me twice to bring it back before my time period was up, (2 hrs prior to the actual time it needed to be returned). I was never told a specific time they had another reservation scheduled ot that it had to be returned prior to the 24hr period for we second day. More attention to detail with proper customer service skills such as communication goes a long way.

This facility at 9701 capital blvd was not clean nor well maintained and smelled of urine . I had several issues from the time of storing my belongings, including storage unit being double booked, to unit number being incorrect, to me being questioned if this was actually my unit. ( why would I pay for belongings that are not mines?), to payment being applied incorrectly. I would never recommend anyone to this location for their storage needs.

Over the last couple of years, I have had the opportunity to use almost every service that U-Haul provides. For the most part, it has been very favorable, and the people have been very good to work with. There was only one instance when I had to rent a truck That I was assessed unnecessary and annoying fees for dropping the vehicle off. The rate increase seems a little steep, but the facilities are well-maintained.

Our 2+ year experience was average at best. This location is in an old, sprawling manufacturing plant that closed down decades ago but has been repurposed with storage units. Our unit happened to be at the back corner so we had a long walk every time we needed to visit the unit. Along the way, we often noticed the same trash and discarded items in the same places on subsequent visits, which tells me there wasn't a significant effort to clean the facility on a regular basis. The bathroom was often dirty. During the day at least, even though there was a keypad by the entrance, anyone could walk into the storage areas. An alarm would sound if you opened your unit without entering your code at the entrance, but we never saw anyone respond to those alarms going off, so not sure how much of a concern it was. After receiving our 4th price increase in 2 years - with each letter citing the intended services noted above as the driving factors behind the increase - we did a little comparison shopping and found a facility that was closer to our home and about 25% less expensive per month. We actually found 3 facilities in the area, all within $2 of each other in terms of the monthly cost, so it was a no-brainer to make the switch. Other than the convenience of renting a truck at the same location, we couldn't justify the ongoing expense when there were better options.

First of all we had reservations at another uhaul but the unit was to small and they didn't have a 5x10 available so we had to go to another uhaul so when we get to the other site their internet was down so they couldn't take reservations so I had to go online to book my reservation so we Finally get a signed a unit it already had someone else's pad lock on it do I had to go back to the office and have them try to find me another unit so after a while they were able to get us a unit but it took some time

Our unit was easy to get to, came in handy when it was needed and we loved the customer service while renting trucks so we knew we couldn’t go wrong. It was a great experience over all. Thank you !

The storage unit that I rented was one row of the few that you literally had to get down to the ground to open it. It was very difficult for me as a disabled person to get it open. However; the staff would come and help me out if they were available. I'm glad I'm out and I won't go back there again. Also, not to mention it was no lights on my row or the one beside me. Happily I got out when I did because the rain was coming in at the front right entrance once you stepped in. A tan piece of luggage was sitting there. It has a rust streak going down the luggage. That location needs a lot of work.

Your employee by the name of Danny Bland I believe is his name was an exemplary employee. We got there around 6:45 near closing and he was amazing Very polite friendly and didn’t seem to mind that we were there near closing. I cannot tell you what I’ve been going through these past couple of days and to meet up with the gentleman like him with your company was very pleasing I just wish everyone was like Mr. Danny bland. And I hope that he gets recognized for the work that he does there for your company. Absolutely amazing I cannot say enough about this gentleman. Empty trucks were blocking the unloading area. Employees were yelling at customers parking in wrong spots even though nothing was available. It was not an easy or smooth process at all. The alarm system was not explained and kept going off the whole time we were at the location.

I lossed Every last single memory of my deceased sons memory, I fell behind on my payments I would call to attempt to make a partial payment but it was refused, notations where made to the account and i was rest assured that uhaul was not the business of just selling your items. I felt assured. I mentioned my son's Memories, it's been hard for me since the death of my infant son. After being sent a email on February 13th 2023 that my unit was auctioned! I called the storage and I initially spoke with a Gentleman who place me on hold to check to see if the lock was off... then a woman returned to the phone to Say unfortunately Ms. Calhoun all you items are gone and the unit is Empty. This mind blowing info made me instantly refrence back to my email because i knew i hadn't gotten any emails from uhaul in awhile after reviewing. Then February19th I get an email that the move out date was February 18th?! When were my items MOVED OUT? I Was told February 13 it was EMPTY! When were my items auctioned off?!

Overall happy with the experience. I still have 2 other storage units and will continue to use this location for truck rental. A few things that were at times inconvenient or negatively impacted my experience: 1, men's restroom seems consistently dirty and/or not fully functional 2. often there were only 2 mattress carts available for use, even though I could not find anyone else in the building that might be using the flat carts. mattress carts are not that useful. 3. the area that is designated for "recyclable" furniture or other items often seemed cluttered / overflowing and mixed with trash. 4. 2 price increases in 2022 (10%+) with no perceived improvements in the facility, janitorial services, security, etc. despite justification for the increase cited in letters notifying me of rate increases.

This wasn't the fault of the staff, but the facility was not clean because other tenants left their trash everywhere. Unfortunately, after moving my things out of the truck into my storage space, there was no where to dump my unneeded boxes & trash which proved to be extremely inconvenient--especially considering I was not allowed to leave trash in the truck itself. Of course, I didn't want to leave any trash in the truck because that would have been rude & inconsiderate of me as a customer, so you see how that created quite the predicament. Anyway, I am very happy with the space, the service & the arrangement, but there were certain things that put glitches in the entire experience.

There are no lights at the unit I had which is in the back of the facility. I would often go there by myself. When I moved out my whole family had to use their phone’s flashlight so we could see to load the truck. Also my unit 259 has the hardest sliding door to close. When I was there by myself I had to stand on the handle and jump to get it to close. Please be sure to oil that or something. Otherwise I had a wonderful experience with U-Haul.

I forgot my code, so one of the ladies at the front desk walked me through the whole process of checking in with my code and walked me to my unit. That is going well above the normal customer service you see now days. I was impressed. The only thing I was a bit frustrated at was not easily accessing my code in the account page. If it was emailed to me I can't find it and had to ask at the front. I'm glad I did as they were so nice and helpful.

Logan got us set up showed us the unit and explained the whole set up, was very helpful. Being we needed to move in after hours it would have been helpful for the sliding doors to opetate. We were forced to use the small door in stead. We made it work but if he had any type of bulky items that wouldnt have worked.

My transition from NY to NC was made smoothly 4 years ago. I rented a box that was transported to NC and later rented a storage room. My storage was always clean and I felt secure that my property was safe. I even appreciated the area for reuse. I was happy to meet someone who was able to use furniture that I had put out. Although, there was a minor problem with my original contract because the name was wrong, I had to get a new contract. The problem with that was a higher price of $15. Since, I couldn’t pull up the original contract & didn’t remember the size & actual price, I accepted the new contract.

The staff was friendly and the locker was clean. I just wish they had checked out the truck when I got there and turned it in so I could get a receipt that day. I am worried that I could get dinged for not enough gas, incorrect miles, or damages that were already on the truck. But I am sure it will be fine, that peace of mind would've just been comfortable.

Calvin was the gentleman that helped me. I was not sure of the exact size that I needed so he asked what was I going to put it in and he recommended a 5 by 10 for me. Then he walked me to the locker and showed me how to swipe in the outdoor verification checker. When we got to the locker, it already had a lock on it so we had to go back inside and get another locker. On the way back inside he was a complete gentleman and he open the door for me and even said “after you”. That was really sweet! Then he assigned me a different locker and we went back to try it again. This time the outside card was not swiping correctly. I told him that I have to come back late that evening and it is going to sound the alarm on me and notify the police. He laughed and said that it would not but if it did it would only alert the GM. After I received an empty locker and we confirmed that I was good I left the store. I came back that evening and my card did not work and the alarm went off anyway. I just laughed and I thought about Calvin saying that it would not go out to alert the police lol. I called back the next day and asked to speak with him. I told him that I was out of town working that day but I would return the next morning. He said that he would leave a note for his manager as to what happened so they could fix it since he would not be in until 1 pm. I went back the next day and everything was just as he said it would be. Although the alarm went off on me, Calvin was really nice and he took care of me. Even when there was an issue, he fixed it and still took care of everything. I really appreciate how nice he was. Please thank him for me for all of his help! :) ( I would thank him myself, but the alarm did go off on me lol) —Shay Hamidou

Never visited the facility. I rented uboxes which were delivered there and then driven to my apartment. The driver was very friendly. The only downside to my experience was the lack of communication.

Granted, moving with the U-Haul U-Box isn't as easy as having professional movers take over, but it was incredibly convenient and less than a tenth of the cost! Plus, they can handle curvy driveways!
