My service was good for the most part. I just can’t take being given incorrect information when it comes to charges and payments. Saturday 04/13/2024 was the last straw for receiving incorrect information. I have been more than patient with U-Haul services I explained to Management my issues with U-Haul from beginning. So after the last episode I made the decision to just end my dealings right there. Customer service needs to be up to par. Other than that everything else was pretty good way better than one on Walsingham

James from another went out of his way to put me at your location. The 2 men working were nice & helped me out. It was pouring down rain & they waited for me to unload the truck into my storage & they were still there to drop off the truck. The prices of the rental truck & storage are expensive & not what is advertised though. That part is misleading.

I reported a guy who was living in his storage unit and was met with resistance from the management. They assured me he wasn’t living there. But every time I came to the unit, he was there. He would be drinking beer, watching football, and napping. Whether or not they think he’s living there, he’s not supposed to be loitering. Well, at least that’s what my lease says. Perhaps he has a different lease.

For the entire time I had a storage unit there (I had a smaller unit first), never was there anyone ever in the office at anytime, morning, noon or night. Also, The lighting was not good at all. When I called U-Haul (not the office) the people were very friendly and helpful n did everything that they said they would.

Most poorly kept storage I've seen. There appeared to be homeless people living in there, constantly in and out on bikes. On Christmas day there was a shoe and shirt in the roadway and a man with barely any clothes on in a unit. Not safe or clean at all.

Months ago I asked to get a clicker for the gate. I was charged $5 and I was given a clicker. When I went to try out the first time the clicker did not open the gate. I drove back to the office and told them it didn't work. I was told they're working on the gate and to try it again in a few days. I went back about a week later to the storage facility and the clicker still did not open the gate. I went back to the office a fourth time and asked if I could get a different Clicker. I was told it probably wouldn't make a difference because they're phasing out the clickers anyway. How frustrating that was! Wasn't I just told at the beginning the clickers are being phased out. The time and energy wasted going back and forth to resolve an issue that wasn't resolvable is ridiculous!!

I chose U-Haul because of the 24 hour storage access and explained that was why I made my choice, but the hours were changed within a week or so.

I’ve been a customer of this facility on & off for over 5 years and, until this past year I never had any concerns or issues. Since the new manager took over my experience has been much different; in some respects quite concerning. Over the past few months my gate code would suddenly be “denied access”. When I’d call the office to advise & find out what was wrong I was told there were “system issues”. The “system” randomly resulted in: 1. my code being deleted & replaced with a new number which I wasn’t made aware of 2. my access was changed from “storage hours” to “office hours” 3. no gate access for the entire last month I was there - yet had paid for I shared my frustration with a male rep at the office as well as with Mimi and requested a refund for the 4 weeks of denied access. I wasn’t offered a new code to use during this so called “system issue” and ultimately had no autonomous entrance to my belongings. During this time frame on a few occasions when I was there hoping it would work, I observed several customers coming & going and the gate access worked just fine. It very much felt as though MY code was singled out. Another concern under this current management is the selective rules which are enforced per Mimi’s mood of the day. Many times when myself or other customers question her commentary from 1 day to the next she claims not to have said this or that often forgetting or following up with various different answers. To this point, I will share a specific situation regarding my 2nd unit which I share with my boyfriend Chris. Being one of the largest units on property, this is where we store our work tools & at times require more time to prep for jobs/projects. According to the lease only under structured access will a customer be limited to 2 - 30 minute visits. And while Chris did have structured access in the past, Mike Wise has confirmed that was lifted however Mimi continues to hold us to it to the point of aggressively stating the second we arrive and closely monitors the clock threatening to trespass us if we don’t leave. We have never seen or heard her treat any other customer with such disdain. Mike Wise & Mimi have both made it extremely clear that the units are not a “hang out”, they aren’t to be lived in, and advised Chris and I both that 24 hour access had been removed for everyone for the time being - and that it’s in everyone’s lease agreement that customers are only allowed 2 thirty minute visits per day; these “rules” however are selective and discriminatory. Both Mimi & Mike are fully aware of a male African American man living in unit 629 yet nothing has been done. In fact not only is this person being allowed to disregard the lease rules by living there, he was hired to work for Mimi in the office. Every time we’d be there getting tools or organizing for upcoming jobs, this person would non-stop bombard Chris asking for his help or needing to borrow something including asking for money to do his laundry. This person can come & go at all hours, stay in his unit for any amount of time, sleep there - yet we are monitored like children and told to leave if we were there for 30 min. This supposed “company rule” was abused by management who selectively decided who they’d hold to the agreement and who they’ll let slide. The management of this facility is honestly just a joke! The final and most concerning issue is regarding the safety of every female customer and what ultimately led to my decision to take my business elsewhere. Four single female customers all verbally shared with me to be vigilant when alone because a gentleman named Dennis cornered them in their unit forcing himself upon them in a sexual manner & making vulgar comments. This gentleman as it turns out is Mimi’s husband. These incidents have been brought to her attention however to which she responded “it’s ok”. Coincidentally all 4 of these woman have been evicted. This man is a sexual predator who lives on site & has full access to come in & out at all hours. This needs to be addressed and stopped immediately before he does this to someone else. I actually had the pleasure of speaking to Mimi the owner of the storage facility I am renting a unit from. I am moving tomorrow 9/20/23 from the east coast of Florida back over to Seminole Area. She made my entire process regarding my move go so smooth. She was extremely professional, kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond to make sure all was set in place when I arrive there with the moving company. Highly recommend her facility for anyone in the area.

This place is full of criminal activity including prostitution and drugs. The lady who claims she owns the U-Haul storage facility put a lock on my storage unit because she didn't like the fact that someone I know was eating near the storage unit. Cancel my contract with her last month but she locked the unit when letting me retrieving my stuff without paying her for this month. I'll never use you the facility again and I'll probably never use U-Haul again

Everything has been good last couple of years with UHaul. Staff has been friendly. Prices though keep increasing what seems like every three months. Had to downsize because rental price keeps increasing and it is becoming more and more difficult to afford.

I had a few days left on my storage rental agreement when I tried to access my unit only to find that the u-haul circular lock that was purchased was rusted shut. I ended up breaking off my key in the lock and when I contacted the main office (the storage place shut down their onsite office) the owner informed me that they do not remove the locks themselves nor am I allowed to cut my own lock. I had to hire a locksmith to remove the lock. It was the last day of my rental agreement so I was trying to get everything out that day, but obviously that wasn't happening now. Once the lock was removed I was able to take out the majority of the stuff, but still had one truck bed left. I thought I'd be able to come by the next day and grab the rest of it and maybe pay a small fee for the extra day given the issue with the lock. Instead I was informed that I needed to pay the entire next months rent. I was upset, that we couldn't just work it out by paying $20 for 1 day, but in the end if I would've gotten out sooner then this wouldn't have happened. At that same time I asked the clerk at the desk the procedure to make sure that my contract would be terminated for certain after I paid the months rent. He indicated that I just needed to move out of the storage room and return the gate key afterwards. I made him put a note in my file indicating that I will not accept any further charges due to me moving my stuff out (have a printed copy as well). Now that I've paid a full months rent, I had to work on moving items from my main house. I waited a couple of weeks and then decided that I wasn't going to wait for the last minute this time, so went to my storage unit only to find that they placed a lock on my unit along with my own masters lock I put on there after the locksmith had removed the previous one. I had to go to the main office to find out that only the circular u-haul lock is allowed to be placed on the storage units. The owner nor the clerk who both knew that I had to get my lock cut off didn't bother to inform me at the time I needed to purchase another u-haul lock. I would've moved all that stuff out immediately. So the owner herself informed me that "it'll be a few" before she can get down there to unlock my storage unit. I had other plans for that day so informed her that she can take care of it any time that day and that the next day I'll go there to remove the last of my stuff. Got to my storage unit the next day ... sure enough the lock is still on. I had to go back once again to the main office and have the clerk call the owner to have her son finally remove the lock. Since everything has been so terrible at each step of the way I decided to look through my paperwork and online to try and find a proper contract termination. Sure enough, I found one on the website and proceeded to follow the instructions to remove everything, sweep the floors, and return gate card and then uploaded photo evidence and submit. This was one of the worst experience I could've ever imagined. They made the termination and move out process very time consuming and frustrating. The staff aren't educated in directing the customers to the correct processes. The owner is only worried about how much she can squeeze out of the customer if they don't follow everything to the letter … she will make you pay in full for any slip up. Also, I found a lot of animal droppings and bugs in my storage unit. Thank goodness I only stored tools and other items that they can't nest in or care to get into. I will never use another u-haul storage unit ever again!

When I checked items in storage they were covered in mice feces, cockroaches, and other bugs. I had to remove all my items from boxes and box in new boxes as they were infested. As to staff, there is never anyone working at the facility. I went multiple times and never open.

Staff was less than cordial and the facility and office are so far away it was just too much. Then when I opened my unit and the first thing I see is a huge Rat trap and it smells like a dead rat and Dead Sea creatures that was just too much. I am not going to store my possession in a place that smells like that and may have rats so they can eat on my property.

Customer service representative (female) at location (10440 Seminole Blvd, Seminole FL 33778) was extremely rude, non- responsive unless question asked twice. I have incoming U container and representative told me "nothing I know, call tomorrow, maybe if you are lucky it will show up". Certainly did not inspire confidence in this U-Haul location. Representative also verbally mumbled that "why give you a lock" ... When I commented that it was advertised as part of online reservation for storage unit, representative said "I don't know why I have to honor this." Another representative in the office advised her to give me a lock which she then provided. Extremely poor work attitude and ethics. I have a storage unit, awaiting UContainer, so these are not anything to be resolved. Employee attitude and service to the customer needs fine tuning.

I do believe if someone has days left on storage they should get there rent pro rated. And I did have Rat pee all over my mattress. California king mattress and a queen mattress. They were New mattress I had to throw away. And there was Rat poo everywhere

However, when I got to the Uhual store to do what was instructed to me to do on the phone call I had made earlier it wasn’t the case at the store with the associate at the counter. In ALL of my life, I’ve never experienced such a debacle with U-Haul. This location, managed under Candice, is an absolute disgrace! It is her responsibility to correctly train her staff and to maintain compliance under Corporates guidelines. Some of my answers to the questionnaire are opposite to my opinion, due to my dozen or so experiences with both the truck rental and U-Haul storage located on Seminole BLVD. The cherry on the Sunday is that her and her incompetent staff have charged hundreds of dollars to my Baby Sisters credit card. Candice is uneducated on how to reverse a charge. She told me that she rectified the issue, yet she failed and further charged my Sisters card unlawfully. My Sister is unemployed and it happens to be Christmas time. My Sister refuses to take my calls and texts because I told her Candice eleviated her burden. The same morning, Candice and I spoke on the phone at approximately 8:39AM and she agreed not to charge me for gas or mileage, as well as, three days no charge for the truck, no twenty dollar convenience fee. That she and myself alone would process the truck and fees due to the incompetent y of her staff. I call this morning, as prearranged, for her to spout, Your note means nothing because you left the key in the drop box. My note stated, I’m not returning the truck. I need… I’m only concerned with the charges on your Sisters account. You are under a promissory contract with attitude, I might add. I told her that I would get off of work early to address the situation at hand with her in person at 3:45PM. I will not be honoring that appointment. If my bank account gets a bounced check for this absurd fee….there will be court action. I wonder how many victims Candice has left in her wake??? Meanwhile, I demand arbitration. Your CEO mailbox is FULL. Your thoughts on this matter! My name is Janet Tassinari and I may be reached at (941)586-9854. I’m a firm believer in handling such situations with the least amount of friction. My dozen or so concerns can be detailed. It will take me approximately three hours to write. I think U-Haul would get additional customers if they gave a refund when you clear out your unit prior to the 15th of the month. Word of mouth spreads like wildfire. I was always treated fairly with courtesy and kindness.

We had 3 units, 2 with A/C. 1 without, and after 3 years of storage all items were still in great condition. I would highly recommend this location and would not hesitate to use their storage units again.

Storm Ian caused a backup at the Propane station which caused a backup in the store and long lines. The Uhaul storage didn’t have a trained worker to rent units on site until noon. Gate access was down for first two days of my storage rental which limited entry only when someone opened gate from inside as they were exiting.

When I tried to complete the registration online, I kept getting an error notice so I gave up after two days. I went to the storage location and no one was there so I had to drive to another location to register.. The employees there are friendly and helpful but I was informed I needed a reference with a differernt phone number and address (not my wife for instance). You should let someone know before they have to show up in person to register.

Don't take the first storage facility your friends recomment. By far U-Haul has the best price for the same size unit. And no bait and hook with a free month rent only to increase your monthly price after three months, which is why I moved to a U-Haul Storage Facility.

The first day we went in to pick up the keys to storage unit, we were told the 10x10 was not available…that it had been rented out even though I had a reservation number. I was sent to multiple places before being sent to my unit I had reserved a week ahead of time all to find out it had been rented to someone else and they didn't have anything available big enough for my stuff, then I had to find an alternative place to store my stuff. I feel I should get a 100% refund of my money for all of my inconvenience. This was the first time I used Uhaul to move and will be my last.

Nia and her staff were excellent. They went out of the way to ensure I had a great rental experience. The only issue, which was never solved, was that this particular unit gets very dirty. I don’t know if it’s from a bad door seal or the fact that the walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling. But it really does need to be addressed. Thank you Nia!

Nia was pleasant, helpful and kind. The property was very well maintained....I had a non-climate controlled unit for 5 years with not as much as a spider web to be found in there. And the automatic gate was simple access, no gate code to remember or getting out of your car, just your gate opener is needed! Great place if your in need of a storage unit.

I moved to another provider due to billing problems. The credit card was cancelled without my knowledge or approval. Attempts at correcting this error was met with hostility and aggression on the part of the manager. She spoke very loudly and refused to listen to the concern, This comment is in regard to unit 847. Instructions for picking up the van at a different location were unclear. We were told someone would meet us at the other location and after waiting 15 minutes at the other location had to call to be told that the keys were in the van. We also had a pretty important question about the vehicle at drop off so we brought it to the location we rented from and arrived 5 minutes after closing. We knocked on the door and the employee inside just shook his head at us even after we said we just had a quick question.

When I booked, I wasn’t told that this site was a serve yourself. We arrived to find the store closed. I called and was informed that I needed to use the app. I then had to download the app and create an account. My cell service was limited so I had to walk around the parking lot to get the best service. Had I known before, I would have downloaded at home using wi-fi. The app would not let me check in so I had to call again. This time I was told to go the website and login. I again hit a problem saying that I couldn’t pick up and it required counter service. There was no one, of course so I made a third phone call. This time I was told to go to the app again. I had to go through uploading drivers license pics again. This time we made progress but I had to wait for approval. After logging out of the app and signing on again I was able to complete the transaction. This all too 30 minutes. My reservation was at 10am. I left the lot at 10:30. I was so frustrated and this all could have been avoided with that information at the time I made the reservation. I doubt I will use U-Haul again. I did not find this self service to be a streamlined process.

The truck was dirty and the computer system was down for over an hour requiring me to wait and delay my already tight window moving. No offer of a discount or anything to compensate for extreme inconvenience and crunch imposed on the move. I ended up paying cash as a solution due to the POS failure. Not even a manual work around? I would highly suggest the system architecture and business process modeling reevaluate a workaround and recovery process. The customer was not a consideration fir the current process.

This location did not have key locker codes in the system. So I could not retrieve my rental key. The customer service center changed my rental to another location. Once arrived, I was told the rental had to be taken from the first location. I had to drive back, followed by an agent to retrieve the key. Took longer than expected. Just an inconvenience.

So I was directed to visit another store for the same equipment ,I did, and was sent back to the original location amidst sarcasm and belittlement now that their was someone maning the unmanned store. When the associate finally arrived (we were waiting in an empty store for 20+ minutes), he was very efficient. Please try to make sure that there is always someone inside the store front. I had to call the store manager (her number was posted on the door) and her phone went straight to voicemail. I was routed into the automated 24/7 share program to rent the truck. Patrick at this location helped me tremendously on the pick-up and drop-off, I would have been lost without him. I called and reserved for 8 am at Tyrone and 38th ave Uhaul called, texted and emailed me with a DIFFERENT location and DIFFERENT time of 9 am. I needed a low-price small pickup asap, and they were all rented out at the 66th St UHaul location near me, so I was ready to rent one of the larger boxtrucks, but i wasn't thrilled about driving a larger vehicle, so the UHaul staff took the initiative to see if a neighboring location had what I needed on site. Corporate once again tried to screw with my dropoff point, I booked to drop off in Seminole and unload in a storage, You tried to make me drive another 6 miles to another location to drop it off, that make NO SENSE at all, if I am renting a storage unit then you should automatically take the truck. Manager Nia told me she would credit me $50 because 15' uhaul truck one-way rental was dirty: cup holders dirty, cargo area was not swept out and had broken glass. Truck only got 9 mpg and was inefficient. Manager Nia did not take care of me. Total disappointment experience with u-haul.

This van was rented to me for a cross-country move to Phoenix Arizona when I pick the truck up the windshield was filthy inside and out and not ready to be driven in traffic additionally after the first hour on the road it has become evident but the front end is badly out of alignment and wants to steer to the right so 3 days 2400 miles counter steering to the left because you couldn't keep your vehicles maintained properly I will never rent from U-Haul again

Drop off location in Tallahassee, Florida closed at 2pm on a Saturday which was extremely inconvenient since I had to remove my car from a car trailer, back truck with trailer into parking space, unhitch trailer all by myself.

The facility was top rated but the recent staff was not customer friendly and at times even combative. The increase in monthly rent because the facility received a new coat of paint was not warranted.

Patrick Waters was great. He rented the equipment out quickly and efficiently. During the return process is where I had trouble. There was another rep there in the morning. I arrived at 730, but no one came to unlock the door, or help me until just about 820am. This particular store opens at 7am. The rep just went on as though nothing was wrong. No apology for being late. I won't rate my entire experience, based on the one mishap.

I had three charges on my bank card. I think I understand wht as two attempts for the estimated amount was not accepted. The correct amount at returning did go through as well. Two charges of 79 + are on my charge account and I am working with my bank and uhaul to correct this. Otherwise good experience. The man who helped me was personable and did a good job.
