One thing to note, and the representative didn’t seem to have an answer. I only drove the truck 23 miles. Although the tank appeared full when I first got the truck, I had to put 6 1/2 gallons of gas in it before I returned it. I showed my fuel receipt to the attendant.

1. Have gas in rentals - my rental had so little gas, the gas light came on as I pulled off the lot 2. Keep better records of vehicle damage, the overhead light was broken in my rental from the start and rep upon return was thorough but wanted to charge me 3. I was address as if I was a child by the rep. The initial milage was one over the one recorded on receipt. Rep tried to scold me for removing take from keys as if I was his child and found it very, very unprofessional. His attitude was very, very unpleasant. I will definitely not recommend this location to no one.

This is nothing against the employees at this location, they were doing a fine job, although no one was happy to be there. I cannot blame them for their lack of enthusiasm because they likely deal with customers that come in with lack of information on their orders daily since the U-haul site doesn't always provide enough information. My issue this time around was the price jumping up $100 once I was ready to pick up my rental. When booking, the site didn't mention that miles were not already included in the price.

Cargo van rented was clean and exactly what we needed but the rear tires had almost no tread left. We didn’t notice this when getting the van but when we did realize the tires were so bad it felt scary to drive the vehicle. There were no problems due to the tires but we did not feel safe, could have had a serious problem at any moment had we driven the vehicle very far. Our experience with the store employees was very satisfactory, everyone was courteous , helpful and very knowledgeable.

Get rid of that General Manager!!!!! He was extremely rude to us on the morning of our pickup. It’s like everything we said agitated him and we tried to explain that we could not move the truck that he gave us because another truck was blocking it, all hell broke loose. He went out there, sped off, and hit a bump so hard until the two back tires lift off of the ground. He was not pleasant at all and I will NEVER return to that location for fear that he would be the one to assist me. I would not recommend anyone to go there to save them from that experience. When we returned the truck, the workers were very pleasant and I would rent from them if they were at another location.

Reserved an appliance dolly with the truck. Showed up and no dollys available in the entire Triad. Had to go to Home Depot. The customer service was horrible at pick up. The drop off employee was nice.

whatever happened to the attendant accompanying a customer to the vehicle to do the ck? they way it is now, we get to go out there, try to find the vehicle, note the problems that the attendant knew about but didn't bother to mention, so that we get to walk back and make sure it's known so we're not blamed for it. Sorry, that's not what U-Haul used to be like. Up your customer Service policies.

I was waved into a parking area, once I pulled into the Return Truck lane. The sign is very small that says Return Here. Once I parked, then the guy that waved me into the parking area was gone. Another employee walked past me, but never stopped to ask if I need help. The UHaul App was not working properly to return my rental truck online. My daughter had to go inside the office in order to get help, and that was only because another customer walked back to the employee breakroom. The outside area where you park your rental has lots of trash cans over filled with trash. Once the employee came outside to check my truck out, she was very personable, polite and efficient.

Only issue is I reserved an appliance dolly. They called 2 days before to confirm. I got there and they did not have one nor could they find or get one. Soooooo. I had to drive to Home Depot and rent one and had to pay $90 + tax for a dolly for three days. And the truck did. It have the blankets in the truck. So, ideally, I would like a $100 refund. Truck was good. Ran good. Worked well. But one little thing like not having the appliance dolly cause me an hour of lost time and $100 lost money

Equipment was dropped off on a Sunday after noon. Three employees working at the time with one other customer in sight. On Wednesday I received a wake up call to remind me of location of the drop off where I turned in the equipment. Informed the person that it had been turned in already, She said She would take care of it. Then the following morning, I get a wake up call again, and again I informed Her that the equipment had been turned in four day ago. SO then I tried to reach the location where I dropped off the equipment but kept getting transferred to central office. I spoke to Ruth about the situation and the problem was solved, equipment was checked in, and my email was sent to me in 15 minutes. Thank you Ruth!

Staff was very friendly and helpful - they made sure I understood the layout of the building, where my storage unit was located and how the access codes worked. Very impressed with their customer service. The carts that are provided were a huge help in unloading our truck. My only drawback is I didn’t know the storage units were only 6 feet tall until I arrived. The website didn’t specify height so to find that out after the fact was disappointing.

For a majority of my experience, the automatic lights would rarely turn on unless I jumped up and down continuously for about five minutes waving my hands frantically. While this might not seem like the end of the world to most, being a woman and going to this facility alone always made me feel unsafe. I would never go there after 5pm by myself. The rat problem was also disgusting and one of the main reasons why I moved out. To deal with that and then have U-Haul increase the rental fees was pretty ridiculous. To still see rat droppings on the floor of my unit and around but have to pay more each month pretty much sealed the deal for me.

I rate 2 because the unit are so small and not high enough in the inside of the building. The access time should be longer and if something happen like getting lock out while the unit is still open we should be able to go back in and lock it up. I never experience so small of a unit that I have to purchase an additional unit to have enough space.

I don’t think there were many times we visited our unit without having some kind of issue. The front office people were nice for the most part, but just kind of confused or unhelpful sometimes. It’s accessible, easy to get into once you get the hang of it, and convenient. It was a bit pricey and not worth it for us at a certain point. $140 for storing is pretty steep so I’m glad to finally be able to have that money to put towards stuff I will actually enjoy.

The storage split levels are too small the height on 10*10 first floor does not hold a king size mattress and other items which the online states it holds one to two bedrooms. Also accessing the unloading dock is blocked by excessive Uboxes. Makes it hard if more than two customers are trying to get there stuff only two spots available for use.

The guy at checkout was nice, but very slow and seemed uninterested overall. The docks were blocked with trailers and other equipment. Only once access point so the unit was a very long walk. The door was less than 6' tall, making it difficult to get some items in.

The Facility and Staff doesn’t value your Business and Tenure. I have had My Storage Unit for over the past 8.5 years paid yearly without even accessing the unit for past 2.5 years. The moment my unit goes into Lien Status I ask to hold for two days to pay the unit off. The Staff advised me they could not do that, along with the isn’t the first time the same unit meet the same status and was paid in full. Meanwhile when the unit in the past was in the same status I still didn’t access the unit.just paid the bill. I’m just here to say all they wanted and received was my money but never asked me what my situation was for making into Lien Status in the first place. You are not treated with No respect for your Business.

Consistently the best U-Haul experience I've ever had. I've had a storage unit at the Friendly location for over a year and have reserved a U-Haul truck on several occasions. They always make a way to ensure that I have the truck I need with the products and services I've requested. The manager Everett was customer centric and went the extra mile to ensure that I had the service I requested at the best price point. It's like he provided the service he would want as if the shoe were on the other foot and he was the customer. The store associates are kind, respectful and always helpful whether providing a service or listening to customers' needs. Any concern I've had was treated with care and their prompt attention. The Friendly location is the only Uhaul location that I will do business with, because they are truly exceptional and provide services above all others that I've visited. I appreciate their quality service. If I ever need a storage unit or truck I'll definitely come back. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The service was good. When I advised the young lady that helped to get into my unit that I was taking all my items she didn’t tell me to return the keys or anything. She told me to make sure I checkout on the keypad. Now I have to find the keys and return them, which is frustrating…Also I misled and overcharged. I had to rent 3 or 4 units for a 4 bedroom house. I will never use you all again or recommend that anyone else does. My father passed and lived in VA so I needed a facility ASAP. I should have done more research…

This was a very negative experience. When I first got the unit, uhaul employees told me I was getting a large unit big enough to fit a whole apartment, and they gave me one of the smallest units. I had to get a second small unit because no large units were available. Getting two units made this way more expensive for me and they were so small my stuff really didn’t even fit and some of my stuff got broken. I wouldn’t have even come to uhaul if they had just been honest with me that the big units weren’t available. The alarm was broken the entire time I had units there and would ring the entire time I was in my units. Every time I went there, I asked employees in the office about the alarm on multiple occasions and I even called corporate about it and everyone kept telling me it wouldn’t ring any more and then it would ring again the next time I went to my units. It’s very painful to the ears. Even on the last day I was there, one of the uhaul employees tried telling me I must be entering my code in wrong if it is ringing and tried to act like it was something I’m doing wrong. I’ve been there other times where employees admitted to me the system is broken and said it does that all the time so he was wrong to try to blame me for that. I verified my code with him and it didn’t stop the ringing after that. I even asked him to come help me with my code or the alarm and he just told me he fixed it and it should not ring anymore and he he wouldn’t look at it with me. As soon as I went back to the unit after he told me that, it was still ringing and no employee came to look at it for me. The code box never worked the entire time I had my units, and I’ve been there a few times where uhaul employees actually tell customers to leave the door cracked open so customers can get in. When I went at night the door would be cracked open and it wasn’t safe because anyone could follow me in. Then when we got our truck on the last day it had a flat tire. They had a parking lot full of trucks and wouldn’t let us switch the truck out because they said those were reserved. We had a reservation also though so that didn’t make sense at all and the other people they were referring to weren’t there. We had to wait for roadside repair to come and we were paying movers by the hour so moving became even more expensive for us because of Uhaul’s y professionalism. The place has terrible customer service. I saw they took records of my units off my portal but I still got charged for most of the time I was there. To me I shouldn’t have been charged because this was a terrible experience. I typically don’t complain or try to get my money back but this was incredibly bad customer service.

I rented a storage unit at U-haul for 4 years and 8 months consecutively (the same unit) and I was treated disrespectfully, put on hold for over 20 minutes with no repeat follow up from the U-haul staff member, spoken to rudely , interrupted repeatedly when speaking with a representative, had my U-haul truck rental reservations canceled and moved to a location 30 miles out of the way and it is much more details I can add here, but this is just the overview of my experience.I will never recommend U-haul.

A 26 ft truck out of state rental and the storage unit was upstairs with no elevator and no one mentioned that. The storage unit building stank like there was something dead. It was so terrible I could barely stand bing inside. The building was not secure...the door could be opened, the alarm would sound, but we were told no one would come to check on the alarm if it went off. There was also no elevator to the second floor. We decided to go elsewhere, as I did not want my items stinking like something dead.

Everything was fine until checkout. When I was ready to move out of the storage unit (August 17, 2020), I went to the front office to notify them. They said they just needed to do a walk through. I have receive numerous emails and statements in the mail where late fees were assessed. I have had to call 3 times to try to remind them I had already moved out. Extremely frustrating to get through to someone and then my account still wasn't fixed. Hopefully, after today's call everything was concluded.

The loading dock was in need of some cleaning as there was a lot of water along the dock which also had an awful smell do trying to maneuver the carts through the area without your items getting wet and hoping not to drop anything that would fall into the water was a bit difficult. Not sure where the water came from but it covered the soles of our shoes and it hadn’t rained so not sure what was going on with that but the dock smelled like vomit. I wish the doors to get into the units were wider. It was very hard to get my furniture especially sofa and loveseat into the door of the 10’ x 10’ unit.

The storage unit doesn’t work. I have to have my truck turned in at 9 am. I came to put my sofa in the storage unit at 8:20 am, only to find the storage building denying my access, both with my swipe card and my access code. I was told by staff that the storage access doesn’t always work, but this is of great inconvenience to me as a paying customer. I now have a large sofa in a truck and have to sit and wait. I don’t want to be charged an extra day for the truck and I would like to be able to access the storage unit that I’m paying nearly $100 a month for at my convenience.

I have learned to never recommend any place, that is the reason I selected no. But, when I picked up the van, I had attempted to do the online part but that failed, and couldn't get a response online. The guy working the desk was creepy! Made weird comments about how I did things perfectly, the system was just acting up. He took a pic of my ID for some reason, never had that happen before. Couldn't tell if he did it with my credit card also. When I asked him about it he said he didn't do it. The guy had his volume turned up on the phone and I could clearly hear the picture taking sound. I have cancelled my credit card because of this and now concerned about my drivers license information being out that. I feel I need to get the redone. I am expecting u-haul to reimburse me for this expense and provide me with an explanation of why he is taking picture of my id and possibly my credit card.

The Gentlemen that was helping was very nice, but able to help pick out a unit. His coworkers did not help him much. It took an hour to get a 10 x 10 and then they could not print a document that stated what we just did. Nice place but painful get a 10 x 10.
