Alfredo C.Uhaul gives no help in loading a car on to the dolly. They did help hook up the dolly. It took us 1.5 hours to hook up our car in the cold. No one gave us any advice or told us to bring de-icer for the straps. it was a NIGHTMARE. We also had to go to a different place to get the truck from where we reserved it. That apparently is usually the case. And then the dolly was at a different location. So we had to go to one to pick up the truck. Then take the truck to another location to get the dolly. Then we had to go back to get our car from the first place. So it took us HOURS to get out of town just because of all of this. And if you return the truck early, you get nothing. There aren't really many places to rent trucks from so that is probably why they are not caring a whole lot about the customer. Kind of like when you get to the airport, you are stuck with the junky food and you pay too much for it. But it is cheaper than full movers, so that's the only reason why I would suggest someone use it. And the 26' truck got 7!!! miles to the gallon. It was crazy how much we spent on gas. Just nuts. So overall was it cheaper than movers? not much.

There was another car in front of me and he got both hitches installed within 3 hours! The customer service lady Nancy at this location was amazing too! She got me a chair to sit while I waited. There was free wifi and I got some work done. It was cool because they have CCTV and you can watch the installation process in the office if you're curious. They have so many hitch receivers on the shelf for all kinds of vehicles! Get your hitch installed here! It's worth the drive to work with Montana and Nancy!

Hillary C.First of all I was scheduled and confirmed by the customer service at U-Haul for Tuesday at 12pm. When I arrived at the U-haul location, I was told that my appointment would not be kept due to me not confirming the appointment. The staff then told me that their manager tried to call me and this was a total lie. I received no such call nor voice mail message nor any email or any type of communication was made to advise me that my Hitch installation would not be honored. I then had to come back the next day at 1PM to get the Hitch installed. It took longer than usual due to some wiring complications according to the installer. I had to go to work since I work at night and I became angry and aggitated by your staff's inabliltiy to get me out of there in a reasonable time. Your staff could not get your systems to work and I was not able to pay for the service charge due to some techincal difficutlies and finally a call was made to someone by phone that walked the installer through charging my credit card. Then after that, I had to wait even longer for my receipt and again a call was made that he could not print the receipt. After 5-7 minutes I received an email with the receipt and the warranties for the hitch and electrical work. I then showed this to your staff\installer and he finally gave me my key. I was so frustrated and angry that it took well over 30 minutes just to get me to pay and wait for the printed reciept which I never received due to your systems. I wil never go back to that location again and I will never recommend that location to anyone not even my worst enemy. This is just unacceptable and not a way to run a business in these times which is just busy, busy, busy for everyone and every minute counts. Thank God I was able to make it to work on time. All of this and no manager on site. If you plan on having an inept staff, you should at least have a manager present to make sure your business is conducted within your expectations and to maintain customer satisfaction. This is not the kind of service I expected and am extremely disappointed with my experience.
Jose G.I loved how close the location was to the airport. The service I received was second to none. I thought I lost my credit card in the van and two people searched the van thoroughly. I found the credit card in my car. But the team didsn't seem annoyed that I asked them to check and went above what I expected. I loved how easy it was to return the van after closing hours.

David R. | First ImpressionsI had a reservation # 87883266 for today pick up time Saturday 5/20/2023 @ 9:30AM I had to take a Uber to the Uhaul location @ 10620 S Vincennes Ave. Chicago and when I got there the place was not evan open, so I called the Uhaul phone number that was on my reservation sheet ( 877-755-6558 ) and the lady that I had talked to said to hold on that she was calling the owner of the location to come there and get me the truck that I had a reservation for and when the guy got there he said that I could not take the truck because someone had it reserved for 2:00PM pickup, well what about my 9:30 AM pick up time that I had a reservation for and to return in 4 hours I was told that my return time was to close to the 2:00PM pickup time that another customer had a reservation, so I was stuck without a truck that I had a written reservation for because someone else had a pick up time that was to close to my return time. so now I have to pay for another Uber ride to get back home, so I paid for two Uber rides there and back and no truck that I had a reservation for, This is BAD Business I would never recommend this Uhaul location to anybody
